Mr. CEO Has a Crush on Me-Chapter 235 Ji Jiayi’s Apology (3)
Chapter 235: Chapter 235 Ji Jiayi’s Apology (3)
"Disappointed to see me return?" He lowered his eyes, carefully applying medicine to every part of her body.
Her skin was fair and smooth, naturally beautiful, flawless.
So much so that now any sight of a wound, even just a faint bruise, felt irritating to the eyes.
"A bit surprised, I thought you wouldn’t come back today," Lu Wanwan observed his expression, his handsome brows tightly knitted, his usual cold demeanor even faintly tinged with anger.
"Blaming me for not telling you in advance?" He applied the medicine, his tone casual as he posed the rhetorical question.
Lu Wanwan, seeing he seemed somewhat upset, knew she couldn’t tell the truth.
She spoke indifferently, "No, you don’t need to tell me."
As soon as her voice fell, she suddenly felt a chilly gaze upon her.
Gu Annan gazed at her for a moment, that delicate little face of hers apparently not deliberately speaking out of spite.
"Is that so?" His voice was deep, as he lightly pinched her chin, "Who was it that was looking for me in the middle of the night yesterday?"
Zhao Chen, the traitor!
"I was just asking casually," she replied, very composed.
"Just casually asking in the middle of the night?" Gu Annan moved in closer, teasing her further, "I remember you usually go to bed early."
"That was..." She wanted to say, that was when she was sleeping alone, it had been a long time since she could go to bed that early.
He looked at the lips close before him, slightly parting and meeting, and kissed them directly.
That electrifying sensation left Lu Wanwan powerless to resist.
His large hand held the back of her head, deepening the kiss again and again...
After a long while, she, grasping at Gu Annan’s clothes, begged for mercy, "I haven’t taken a shower."
After the kiss ended, Gu Annan lingered on her lips, caressing them lightly, "I just applied the medicine, take a shower later."
"But..."
Seeing her anxious demeanor, his eyebrows raised slightly, then he let go, "What are you thinking! Go make dinner."
"Make dinner?" Lu Wanwan, released from his grasp, almost collapsed onto the bed, fortunately bracing herself with her arms, "It’s past eight already!"
Gu Annan’s thin lips curved slightly, "If I ask you to go, you go."
He had rushed back to Manchester as quickly as possible, not even having had the time to eat.
"You haven’t eaten up to now?"
He glanced over, "Can’t stand up anymore?"
"..." Clenching her teeth, she immediately got out of bed and quickly left the room.
Although it was somewhat unexpected that he hadn’t eaten at this hour, it wasn’t strange, she remembered his secretary mentioning that his eating habits were irregular when he was working.
With the time constraints, she decided to make something simple—a plate of spaghetti.
When she brought it out, Gu Annan had just come downstairs.
Dressed in light grey homewear, he still looked distinguished and extraordinary. Shedding his usual aloofness and sharpness, he seemed more leisurely instead.
"Just this?" He stood by the dining table lazily, one hand in his pocket, scrutinizing the plate of spaghetti on the table with a picky eye.
For the past few days, she had been trying so hard every night because of work.
Now to just fob him off with a plate of spaghetti?
"It’s almost nine, anything else would take too long. Just eat it, stop being so picky."
Gu Annan pulled out a chair and sat down reluctantly, his long fingers picking up a fork, he looked up, "It’s only nine, aren’t you being a bit hasty?"
"Gu Annan!" Lu Wanwan spoke angrily, "Are you going to eat properly or not?"
She was considering that he hadn’t eaten so late, not thinking of anything else messy at all.
