Mr Alpha, I Am Not Your Typical Lady!-Chapter 41) The young lady in the dream.
Chapter 41: Chapter 41) The young lady in the dream.
I entered the kitchen, and behold, I saw a total of four chefs there. They weren’t busy cooking, rather they were busy discussing.
"Alpha Anastasia!". They panicked and quickly stood up from the place they were sitting the instant they saw me.
They greeted me.
I didn’t have the time to beat around the bush, so I went straight to the point. "I want to eat spicy crabs. Can you make that for me?".
"Ye~ yes, my Alpha. We can cook it for you". One of the chefs replied to me. He must be the head chef.
"I am hungry. Hurry up and cook it fast". I told him.
I noticed each one of them glance at my feet, but I couldn’t care less. I turned away and left.
The instant I left, I heard the chefs panicking, "We don’t have any crabs left in the kitchen".
"We have to go and buy some. Hurry!".
"Ha". I shook my head slightly and let out a one - second chuckle.
After that, my face returned to its original expression. Emotionless. I used to be a cheerful, smart, and no-nonsense doctor. But ever since I possessed Anastasia’s body, my personality has been changing gradually.
When I newly possessed Anastasia’s body, I acted naively and innocently, but I was secretly manipulative, all because I didn’t want the werewolves to sense I was a different person.
But now, I have gradually started to change again. I am starting to lose the genuine smile I once had. I am becoming more and more ruthless and wild, so different from my past self. This is so not me.
I had already figured out that it might take a long time for the chefs to finish preparing my spicy crabs, so I made my way into the Alpha’s office. My office.
As I stepped foot inside the office, I couldn’t help but stop to look around the place. The office was grand. If they told me that the office had fallen from the sky, I would definitely believe that.
Even the chair and desk were designed with pure gold. Except my eyes were deceiving me and I didn’t know what I was seeing.
A smirk formed on my lips when I walked towards the desk and sat down on my chair. The desk was neatly arranged.
I wanted to say that Valerie did a good job, but then, I remembered that after Alpha Ashton and Luna Allegra died, the Alpha’s mansion, including the Luna’s mansion, were frequently cleaned and arranged properly by the omega maidservants. The mansions were also guarded properly by the indoor werewolf guards.
But if both mansions were guarded well, then how the heck was Alpha Dylan able to intrude? fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
I waved off my thoughts because I knew if I dwelled on them, they would only make me get angry.
The files I saw on my desk, I recognised them right away.
These are the files which have been transferred from the Luna’s office to this office. These are not what I need now.
I stood up and went and stood in front of the shelf. I began to search for the documents that are connected to the shadows’ pack gold mines.
"Where could the gold mines’ documents be?". I groaned, because after searching for a while, I couldn’t find it.
’My father has a safe he uses for important stuff. The documents must be in the safe. Go to the desk and look under it. You will find the safe there’.
I did exactly as Elektra told me. I returned to the desk and knelt down, before I saw the safe which was under the desk.
I dragged the safe out of the desk, before I sat comfortably on the ground. "Tell me the password, Elektra".
’How should I know, Clara? You are asking the wrong person’.
I frowned at Elektra, before doing what was in my mind. 0502. I inserted these numbers as the password, and the safe was instantly unlocked.
’Wait, what? How did you know the password? But Anastasia doesn’t know it, neither do I’. Elektra was shocked, so was I.
"I simply put Anastasia’s date and month of birth, and it unlocked". I said. I sadly shook my head and added, "Your parents loved Anastasia so much. It’s so sad that she disappointed them. Wherever your parents are, they won’t be happy with what Anastasia has done to herself".
’Please don’t say that again, Clara. I am to be blamed too. If only I was able to prevent Anastasia from committing something so stupid as suicide’.
"It’s not your fault, Elektra. Don’t forget that you couldn’t do anything back then since Anastasia had not awakened you". I said to her, but she remained quiet.
I chose not to say any other word and began to remove what was inside the safe.
One by one, I took everything out of the safe.
I sighed in relief when I spotted the documents I was looking for.
Though, something else caught my attention, causing me to pick up the letters.
"My darling Allegra had a weird dream again. She believes our little princess’ life is going to be endangered in the future".
"Of course, I don’t believe that at all, but anyway, I have agreed to follow my darling Allegra to the human city to look for the young lady named Clara Hensley. But how can Clara’s life be connected to my little princess’ life? So, if something bad happens to her, what will happen to my little princess’ life?".
"I believe my little princess is going to be perfectly healthy. She will get married to a perfect husband who must be stronger than I am. Sadly, I can’t talk my little princess out of being obsessed with that young Alpha of the Golden warrior’s pack. I sincerely hope that in the future, the moon goddess will help my little princess find her fated mate, who will not turn out to be the Alpha of the Golden warrior’s pack".
Tears escaped from my eyes and streamed down my cheeks after I finished reading the letters. I felt so much pressure that it made me feel like choking.
What is this?
’Cla- Clara.... You really are the young lady my mother saw in her dream. That means your life was connected to Anastasia’s life. And since both of you must have died on the same day, that can’t be a coincidence, right?’.
"You said that Anastasia drank poison and died?! Are you really sure it was poison that she drank? Did you see her purchase any poison?!". I demanded an answer from Elektra as tears continued to pour out of my eyes. My heart was pounding. I truly did not want to be the cause of Anastasia’s death!
’I didn’t see her purchase any poison! But after she drank some kind of liquid from a mysterious black-looking bottle, she collapsed on the ground and coughed out blood. If what she drank was not poison, then tell me what it is, Clara!’.
