It was midnight.

The Vengeful Moon pack.

King Nikolai’s pov,

The moon was crescent and red. The night was cold and bitter, like it was filled with sadness. The houses of all the werewolves were shut tightly, and remaining outside my pack’s city’s northern forest, I was there fighting hybrid creatures and wild beasts.

I was glad that all the wild beasts and the hybrid creatures I was fighting were land beasts, because it would have been a hassle for me if I were to fight wild beasts and hybrid creatures that could fly.

Exactly an hour ago, I was at my pack’s border fighting alongside my formidable werewolf warriors. We were fighting the wild beasts that escaped from their forests and wanted to invade my pack by passing through our border.

The instant we finished battling them and defeating them, I received an urgent report from Gabriel, who told me that many wild beasts and hybrid creatures had gone insane and left one of our northern forests.

Because of Gabriel’s report, I, alone, left the border and returned to my pack’s city.

Unlike the shadows’ pack whose border was far from their city, my pack’s border wasn’t that far from my pack’s city.

And unlike the shadows’ pack, who did not have any wild beasts or hybrid creatures inside their pack’s forests, my Vengeful Moon pack has a total of nineteen forests inside our pack.

And out of the nineteen forests, we have confirmed that wild beasts and hybrid creatures currently occupy at least nine of the forests.

"Are you planning on ruining my pack? You will have to go through me first". I declared and finally shifted into my true Lycan form.

I transformed into a massive terrifying Lycan. The color of my Lycan form was silver.

Lycans’ forms were similar to those of werewolves. But, we Lycans are bigger, stronger, faster and more vicious when fighting.

The wild beasts and hybrid creatures surrounded me. Roughly calculating them, the wild beasts were 8 in number and the hybrid creatures were 5 in number.

They made a single path, and a black-colored hybrid creature that was bigger than the rest of the hybrid creatures and wild beasts made its way towards me after passing through the path that I think was made for it by the wild beasts and other hybrid creatures.

This hybrid creature was massive and everything about its body was muscular. Even bigger and muscular than me.

It was walking on all fours just like me, and it was unlike anything I had ever seen.

It had three heads, and on each of its heads, there were horns. Its left head had two horns and its right head had two horns, while its middle head had a total of three horns.

And their teeth were long and sharp.

If I was not careful enough and this hybrid creature bite me, I would no doubt sustain a brutal injury.

’Allow me to end this, Nikolai. You have been the one having the fun fighting them. I believe it’s my turn’. Nolan said to me. He is my Lycan.

"Very well, Nolan. I have grown sick and tired of fighting them. They might as well make me lose my sanity if I continued to fight them any longer". I said to him, before I allowed him to take control while I was then transported to an empty space.

"This is so much better!". Nolan exclaimed and stretched our body.

He must be preparing to take down this ugly-looking three-headed hybrid creature first, before he takes down the others that surrounded us.

King Nolan’s pov,

This hybrid creature indeed looked more terrifying than the others, and its aura was more pressuring than the others.

Could it be their leader?

That should be the case. But, a hybrid creature as their leader?

Aren’t the wild beasts supposed to be the leaders, since they are the ones responsible for the hybrid creatures’ existence?

"I shouldn’t care about any of this. Killing you freaks is all that should matter to me. I can’t let you invade my city and hurt my subjects, you abominations!". I declared and ran towards the three-headed hybrid creature.

Roar, blaze! Roar, blaze! Roar, blaze!

I retreated and stood there speechless, after the three-headed hybrid creature roared fire at me before I could get to its side.

’Did the heads just breathe out fire from their mouths?’.

"Yeah. I saw that clearly, Nikolai". I replied to Nikolai with my gaze fixed on the three-headed hybrid creature that was about to make its move against me.

I admit, neither Nikolai nor I have ever fought such a beast like this one.

But luckily for me, it can’t fly.

If not, it would be a problem for not only me, but also for my people.

The three-headed hybrid creature hit its front legs on the ground four times in a row, before it dashed towards me, with its three mouths opened, as if it was ready to devour me.

I dodged the three-headed hybrid creature’s attacks and used the opportunity I had to glance at the remaining wild beasts and hybrid creatures that surrounded me. Just by glancing at them, I could tell that they weren’t ready to interfere in the fight.

Returning my gaze to the three-headed hybrid creature, I thought, ’Maybe, this three-headed hybrid creature had given its order to them and must have ordered them not to interfere in its fight against me’.

I would not lie, but I actually prefer it to be that way, because fighting all of them together with this three-headed hybrid creature was undoubtedly going to leave my body bruised.

But I knew that I would defeat them all.

I revealed my claws with my eyes still fixed on the three-headed hybrid creature. Amidst the dangers that surrounded me, I dared to grin, because I had targeted the body parts of the three-headed hybrid creature that I would attack, as it seemed to me that that was its weak spot.

"Let’s do this! We can’t die here today, Nikolai. Not when our fated mate is out there waiting for us!". I declared, and with a deep growl, I dashed towards the three-headed hybrid creature.

The three-headed hybrid creature equally dashed towards me after letting out a roar that was enough to make the ground tremble.
