Mountain Sitting Immortal-Chapter 97: Challenger.
The young man also heard Arthur challenging the other dojos. He couldn’t believe it. He was so amused that he laughed.
He shook his head and said, "It seems I wasted my time."
He turned to leave. But then he heard Arthur say, "Is no one willing to fight me? Do you all accept your loss?"
The dojo masters were angry and were not willing to accept their loss. But they were also not willing to come out to fight. So they could only silently bear their dissatisfaction within.
The young man thought about it and said, "I guess I could do with a fight. At least it will give me something to do so that I don’t waste my time coming here."
He raised his hand and shouted, "I will fight you."
Everyone turned to him in surprise. Especially the person who had spoken to him earlier. The person’s mouth was wide open in shock.
The crowd of people opened up for the young man to pass. He walked forward confidently until he reached the sandpit.
At that point, his full figure was revealed to everyone. He was a young man with blond hair and blue eyes. Everyone knew which family he belonged to when they saw these features.
Arthur frowned when he saw him. He couldn’t remember this person in any of the dossiers he had acquired about dojos and the alliance of dojos.
It is unlike him to forget either since he should be able to remember someone from the Dyson family if he has seen them in the dossier.
The one person from the dossier who he knows to be from the Dyson family is an older man. The man is one of the leaders of the alliance of dojos and is more than 30 years old, not some young man.
So he asked, "Who are you? Why are you here?"
The young man smiled, cupped his hands, and bowed. Then he introduced himself.
"I am Jake XIV of the Dyson family. My father, whom you know as one of the three leaders of the alliance of dojos, sent me to witness this fight and make sure that promises are upheld if made."
"He asked me to come to do three things. One of them was to "go and watch that fight." The second was to "make sure that they don’t bully that bastard of my brother." The third was to "also make sure that they keep any promise anyone makes."
Jake smiled apologetically and said, "Don’t mind his words. My father has a bad mouth. It is why no one likes him in the family and why he was assigned to do the thankless job of being the leader of the dojo alliance."
Arthur wanted to laugh, but he kept a straight face and asked, "Thank you for your presence here. Your reply was informative, but I still don’t understand why you’re in the sandpit fighting me."
Jake slapped his forehead and said, "Right. About that. It was a selfish and personal reaction on my part. I wanted to fight you to have some fun."
"Don’t worry about the outcome. Just fight and fight well. As long as you fight me, this matter will be over here and now. You will be allowed to teach in your dojo however you want. Anyone who says otherwise will have to fight my uncle."
He chuckled as he said that. Then he asked, "What say you? I’m 9 years older than you, so I am stronger than you. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have a good time."
Arthur shrugged and said, "I guess I can give it a try."
Jake’s face lit up. His smile made him more handsome.
Many ladies in the crowd swooned and cooed. They made Arthur roll his eyes.
Jake swept his hair back and grinned to the crowd. It made Arthur decide to smack his face.
He dashed towards Jake with his full power. He wasn’t holding back anymore. He wanted to smack that grin off of Jake’s face.
Jake leaned to the side and parried his punch. Then he grabbed Arthur’s arm and pulled him.
He wanted to turn Arthur over. He thought it would be easy to do. But Arthur didn’t budge.
Instead, another fist smashed towards the face. This time he couldn’t lean back. After all, he was already leaning as far as he could go.
His face became serious as he kicked forward to push Arthur out of his way. But Arthur shifted his position sideways and dodged the kick. Unfortunately, he had to cancel his punch, so his attack was effectively neutralized.
Arthur’s arm that he was trying to pull swept down and struck his shoulder. Jake’s punch also struck his stomach.
The two of them grunted after suffering hits. They both realized then that they had underestimated their targets.
Arthur’s face became serious after making this realization. But Jake’s face lit up, and he smiled. He was excited for the fight. This made Arthur angry again.
The two of them began striking at each other again. They advanced and retreated in tandem all over the sandpit. They punched, pushed, slapped, grabbed, and smacked at each other.
One of them was silent while the other was laughing. But both of them were fast, and neither of them gave ground to the other.
After that first strike, they didn’t manage to hit the other again. It was not for a lack of trying.
They were both trying their best. They went all out, so their figures were very fast.
Both their arms and legs were moving at a high speed, so both their attack and movement speed was a blur. They were moving around the fighting pit in that blue of motion that looked like a dance.
20 seconds later, a victor was determined. Arthur became tired and made a mistake.
He had been fighting for a while, and he just went all out in an intensive fight, so he was the first one to slip up. A palm strike struck his shoulder and sent him flying.
