Sword Flash said to them, "We have to weaken the world spirit and the Sovereign before we can truly be victorious in our campaign."

Thunder Drake agreed and chose to retreat. The world spirit didn’t want him to do so, so it began to obstruct him. The Sun King also chased after him.

The two of them were hell bent on killing him. Unfortunately for them, his golem body was too durable. They could only let him return to the North Pole.

The spirit of the world was still very angry. It wanted the Sun King to enter the domain to continue pursuing Thunder Drake. But the Sun King refused to step into a place where some, if not all, of his power would be suppressed.

He had just won a fight against a being who killed two gem kings, but he didn’t let his small victory get into his head. When he remembered how tough the enemy had been, he couldn’t help but feel solemn.

The fact that there was another being similar to the person he fought also put him on edge. He doesn’t know how many such people like Thunder Drake are there, and he is not willing to be ganged up on, so he didn’t venture alone into the domain.

He said to himself, "I hope the gem will have a solution by now. If they don’t, then I’ve doomed this world."

To be honest, he is beginning to regret allowing the gem people to enter this world. He was the one who built the large leystone that is currently being activated.

He had found a small leystone which came to Aries as a meteor. The leystone could talk, and it promised to grant him power if he built a weapon.

He agreed to build the weapon, but it wasn’t a weapon that he was building. What he was building was a gateway to another world.

The small leystone had given him the parts he needed to build and activate the big leystone. When he had activated it, he thought he was activating a great weapon that he could use to slay the Sovereign. But what came out of the leystone were three powerful gem kings.

So he had been deceived. The gem people don’t lie. But this doesn’t mean that they have to say the exact truth.

The leystone was indeed a weapon capable of killing the Sovereign, but it wasn’t the kind of weapon he had in mind. And the gem people had honored their deal and made him the Sovereign after killing the Snow King.

The circumstances that led him to become the Sun King made him undecided about what to feel about the gem people. The way the gem kings undermined his authority made him inclined to dislike them.

But now that their presence here has caused a new invader to appear in Aries, if the gem people can’t eliminate the threat that the new invaders pose to him and the world, he will completely regret being tricked into building the large leystone.

After thinking of this, he muttered to himself, "I hope it will be worth it."

Then he returned to meet the gem kings.

While he was on his way back, the leystone was finally activated. It had become completely transparent, so they could see through it. But the scene that they were seeing was another world, not the area behind the leystone.

The quartz gem person, who used to be a gem king, quickly performed a series of knocks on the transparent keystone. He didn’t speak and instead waited in silence.

After a few seconds, he saw a hand appear within the leystone and knock on it. The series of knocks was different from the ones he had just made, but this was expected. So he knocked back in a rhythm to indicate that he understood.

The series of knocks is actually a passphrase meant to ascertain their identity. After acknowledging each other’s identity, someone finally appeared on the other side of the leystone.

This person was a gem person and, as indicated by their height, they were a gem king. This person was also a male. This wasn’t surprising because every gem person is a male.

There is no female member of the gem race. They are all males who reproduce through the process of fission.

When a gem person reaches their maximum lifespan and dies, their heart core will split into fragments. The fragments will turn into heart cores of their own and grow into new gem people. So they don’t need female members to reproduce.

This fusion reproduction only happens when a gem person dies of old age. Because of this requirement, gem people don’t have living fathers either.

In fact, a lot of them don’t know who their fathers were. Only the descendants of powerful gem people who retain some of the memories of their fathers know who their father was.

The person who appeared on the Leystone asked, "What is it? I don’t think it is time for your monthly exportation of goods, so what could have happened to make you initiate contact so soon?"

Quartz gem person explained quickly, "The Aries world has been invaded by an unknown foreign party. This party is very strong. They were able to kill Spike and Crage in a few minutes after arriving in the world."

The person listening on the other side first became happy when he heard about an unknown foreign party. He was happy because an unknown party represented a new world, and a new world meant a new source of resources.

But when he heard that the foreign party was strong enough to kill two peak gem kings, he became solemn and quickly forgot about the prospect of a new source of resources, because the purpose of Aries as a source of resources for them is under threat of being abolished.

So the gem person asked with a solemn tone, "How did they die? Were they tricked? Tell me everything you know."
