Mommy Wolf: Raise A Cub, Claimed By His Beast Daddy-Chapter 248: Violet and Amethyst
"Sisi..."
"Mm?" Sisi tilted her head while smiling at him. "What’s wrong, Kael? Why are you looking at me so strangely?"
"Your... your eyes..."
"Ah, my eyes," Sisi shrugged carelessly. "Well, Jojo saw my purple eyes once. I think this only happens when I’m doing a miracle. Maybe these are my faerie eyes that I inherited from my late mother."
Sisi truly had no idea what was running in Kael’s mind. But right after she said that, Kael suddenly wrapped one hand behind her head and then planted a deep kiss full of passion and possession.
He was like a hungry wolf that hadn’t eaten anything for a long time, and his kiss grew hotter, more demanding, and more possessive with each second that passed, to the point that Sisi had to push him away before scolding him.
"Don’t show such indecent things in front of our boy! He’s not even five yet!"
Sisi couldn’t believe that Kael actually inserted his tongue right in front of Jojo. She turned her head towards the boy, and Jojo was staring dumbly with his mouth wide open.
Kael clicked his tongue. He covered Jojo’s eyes with his palm and then kissed her again.
He was so impatient because he had been longing for his fated mate for a long time. Though he had accepted that their bond was truly severed, sometimes he still wished to see her face at least once.
But now, he found out that Sisi was the fated mate he had been searching for all this time, and he wanted to make up for all the missing time they had.
He wanted to mark her, make her his, and build a litter of pups to make Jojo a big brother to many little brothers and sisters.
However, Sisi pushed him away once more and scolded him even harsher than before. "Why don’t you speak rather than kissing me so unreasonably!"
"Sisi, you... you are my fated mate."
That sentence was like thunder on a clear sky for Sisi. All this time she had never heard of herself being Kael’s fated mate. So she thought that he was just trying to make her stay.
"Kael, don’t be ridiculous. If I am, then why couldn’t you recognize me from the beginning?" Sisi asked. "I heard that in a wolf pack, an alpha can find his fated mate and detect her location once they are of age."
"That’s because I accepted my curse, which severed my bond with my fated mate. That’s why I cannot detect you at all, Sisi," Kael admitted. "I have still been dreaming of you every single night, but every time I wake up, I cannot remember anything except for your violet eyes."
"That is why I keep the amethyst that Ruela gave me. Because it reminds me of your eyes," Kael confessed. "Now that you’re in front of me, all the blur in my dream has been replaced with your face."
"You—you are my fated one, the one I had selfishly severed because I wanted to reclaim my power as the Dusk Star," Kael carefully held Sisi’s hands. He lowered his eyes while gently caressing these hands that he had been trying to hold in his dreams many times before. Kael rarely cried, but this time, the guilt of severing his bond with Sisi overrode any kind of thought in his head, and a single tear dropped from his eyes onto the back of Sisi’s hand.
"I am sorry, Sisi. I’ve wronged you."
"..."
Jojo, who had been squeezed between them and forced to become a third wheel, finally spoke up. "Daddy, does that mean Sisi is really my Mommy?"
"Yes, son. She really is your Mommy..." Kael admitted. "If she wants to forgive me."
"Ah? Then, Sisi, can you forgive Daddy?" Jojo asked. He actually had no idea what Sisi and his father were talking about, since they seemed to be on good terms right now. "Umm... Daddy is not bad, Sisi. Daddy loves you soooo much!"
Meanwhile, Sisi stayed silent not because she was angry at Kael.
Because she had no idea about this in the first place.
Maybe for a wolf like Kael, severing a bond between fated ones caused him so much pain. But Sisi was half-human and felt nothing.
However, she was just unsure what to say right now, because she only had two months.
In fact, it would be better for them not to have any bond at all, so it would be easier to leave by the end of spring.
But seeing how Kael was so desperate while holding her hand, Sisi’s heart began to soften.
On top of that, she also knew that a fated mate wasn’t a trivial thing. She heard from a wolf maid that a bond between fated ones was so strong that heartbreak might cause death.
Sisi didn’t know what the future held for them, but she wasn’t cruel enough to break Kael’s heart.
Besides, she was also in love with Kael.
So, for this very moment, she wanted to indulge in love. She wanted to love Jojo as her son, and Kael as her man. She really wanted them both!
’Forgive me for being greedy, Grandma. But I really want to be happy for at least two months before I live with you for the rest of my life,’ Sisi told herself. ’I will cherish this moment with all my heart and record everything in my head.’
"What are you saying, Kael? I’ve never been mad at you in the first place," Sisi chuckled. "So lift your head and look at me."
Kael followed suit, staring at Sisi’s violet eyes. His breath hitched for the second time, because her eyes were truly a marvel.
They forced him to recall all the good and bad dreams he had of her, and he couldn’t help but tremble as he held himself back. "Sisi—my love, can I... hug you?"
"Only if you don’t squeeze Jojo too hard."
Kael didn’t say a word after that. He hugged Sisi tightly while squeezing Jojo between them.
Though he promised to control his strength, Jojo was still struggling to break free from the tight hug. "Ugh, Daddy, Sisi! Let me go!"
