Mommy Alert! The CEO Daddy Won't Stop Courting-Chapter 163: Young Master Davies falls ill, searching for Melody Parker…
At this moment, Adrian Davies really resembled a child.
A big boy pleading for care.
Melody Parker nodded instinctively, "Okay, I won’t leave."
After speaking, she looked at Adrian Davies and gently reassured him as if soothing a child, "Don’t worry, I won’t leave. I’ll go grab a chair and sit here with you, okay?"
Adrian Davies’ lips curved slightly, "Melody, it’s so good to have you."
With that, Adrian Davies released Melody Parker’s small hand.
Freed, Melody Parker pulled a chair over in the room.
As she returned with the chair, the man’s eyes had already closed, clearly fallen asleep.
Melody Parker did not leave because of this.
She sat by the bed as promised, watching the man on the bed.
Even in sleep, the man’s deep features still gave off a cold feeling.
His eyebrows were thick and dense.
Long, curled eyelashes shielded his always icy black eyes.
His nose was straight and well-shaped.
His thin and attractive lips had a sickly pallor.
Yet despite all this, he was still incredibly alluring.
Melody Parker had never been so focused, so attentive for such a long time observing the man.
Looking at the man’s finely crafted handsome face like this, Melody Parker couldn’t help but admit that he truly was a darling of the heavens, with genuine reasons to drive women wild...
An hour passed.
Knock knock knock, a knocking sound arose.
Uncle Steven then opened the door and walked in.
He was carrying a tray, stopping in front of Melody Parker.
Looking at Melody Parker, he softly spoke, "Miss, I made some millet porridge. Why don’t you and Young Master have some?"
Melody Parker glanced again at the man’s peaceful and restful sleeping face, then stood up to look at Uncle Steven, "Uncle Steven, your young master is asleep. Let’s talk outside."
With that, Melody Parker walked out the door.
Once outside, Melody Parker stopped and looked at Uncle Steven, who followed with a tray, "Uncle Steven, I’m not hungry, thank you for your kindness."
Uncle Steven looked at Melody Parker, "Alright, if you’re not hungry now, Miss, I’ll take this away for now. But if you get hungry anytime, remember to call me." 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
Melody Parker nodded, "Okay, I understand."
Uncle Steven was aware of Adrian Davies’ illness.
Because of this illness, no woman had been around Adrian Davies these past years.
The girl before him was undoubtedly special to the young master.
But to what extent, Uncle Steven couldn’t be sure having only met her once.
Having gone through a gunfight with the young master and treated his wounds, this young lady must be very tired, right?
Uncle Steven looked at Melody Parker and, despite the house responsibilities, spoke, "Miss, if you’re tired, you can take a bath and rest in the room next door."
Having gone through the thrilling gunfight, and being compelled to treat Adrian Davies’ wounds, Melody Parker was indeed very tired.
Moreover, because of extracting the bullet from Adrian Davies, she had worked up a sweat and truly needed to clean up a bit.
Melody Parker nodded, "Okay."
Hearing her agreement, Uncle Steven proceeded, "Miss, the young master has never brought a woman back here over the years, so there aren’t any women’s clothes here. However, there are some new clothes that the young master hasn’t worn. Do you want to..."
Melody Parker nodded, "Alright, then please help me find a set I can wear, Uncle Steven."
"Please wait a moment, Miss. I’ll be right back." With that, Uncle Steven turned and left.
Quickly, Uncle Steven returned.
With a set of clothes in place of the tray, Uncle Steven once again appeared before Melody Parker.
He handed the pajamas to Melody Parker, saying, "Miss, these are a brand-new set of pajamas of the young master’s. I think you should be able to wear them."
Melody Parker accepted the pajamas, "Thank you, you’ve been a great help."
"No need to be polite, Miss," said Uncle Steven, turning to open the bedroom door next door for Melody Parker.
Melody Parker, holding the pajamas, walked into the next room.
After taking a bath, Melody Parker put on the cotton pajamas Uncle Steven gave her.
The pajamas were a home suit with two pieces, a top and bottom.
Since they belonged to Adrian Davies, they were excessively long on Melody Parker’s body.
Even though the clothes didn’t fit, they were better than putting on her sticky, sweat-soaked outfit.
Melody Parker took one look at herself in the mirror, then rolled up the cuffs and pant legs over and over until she was barely comfortable wearing them.
Yet it still gave off the impression of a child wearing adult clothes.
Melody Parker didn’t mind and simply walked out of the bathroom to lie down on the soft, large bed, soon falling into a deep sleep.
...
In the middle of the night, Adrian Davies suddenly awoke.
Opening his eyes, he didn’t see Melody Parker and immediately panicked.
He turned over and got out of bed, frantically searching, "Melody, Melody... where are you?"
Seeing the room was empty, Adrian Davies directly opened the door.
He forgot about the wound on his arm.
In such a rush, he called out while unsteadily rushing downstairs.
Uncle Steven, who was sleeping in the servants’ quarters not far from Adrian Davies’ room, heard his voice and immediately opened the door.
Seeing Adrian Davies staggering down, he quickly ran over, "Young master, are you looking for the young lady? She hasn’t left, she’s just resting in the room next to yours."
However, Adrian Davies seemed not to hear a thing.
His eyes were a peculiar red as he ignored Uncle Steven’s words, continuing to stagger downstairs and loudly calling, "Melody, where did you go? Melody..."
Realizing something, Uncle Steven anxiously asked, "Young master, young master... are you alright? Can you hear me?"
No one responded to him, as Adrian Davies continued searching for his Melody on his own.
Then, under Uncle Steven’s watchful eyes, he suddenly tumbled onto the marble steps.
At the same time, his whole body began to tremble.
At this moment, Uncle Steven confirmed: the young master had indeed fallen ill.
At this thought, Uncle Steven did not hesitate and quickly turned to run upstairs.
Regardless of whether or not to bring the young lady down, he had to call Locke and inform him to bring the medication over quickly.
Everyone in the Davies family and the caretakers knew that Adrian Davies had episodes when he had a fever.
This was the villa left behind by Adrian Davies’ mother, usually guarded by Uncle Steven alone, with only daytime housekeepers coming to clean.
Adrian Davies spent most of his time in River City or Europe and only brought Ned Faris and the others to the villa when on business trips to Fland.
Moreover, the most crucial thing was that there wasn’t any medication here to control Adrian Davies’ manic disorder.
Uncle Steven swiftly found the mobile phone in his room, made a call to inform Locke of the situation, and then immediately ran back to Adrian Davies’ side.
