When the android underground rang the alarm, the museum's entrance and exits were blocked by metal gates that descended from the doors' frames.

The trio on the surface were startled, scanning their surroundings with haste as the alarm deafened them from their communication with the group underground.

From the wall, a large, secret compartment opened up, releasing a human-looking android with the features of a woman who stepped out into the main hall with confidence, scanning her surroundings. freewebnσvel.cѳm

"Facial recognition failed—Intruder suppression, commencing," said the android, prompting Zac and his group to scatter.

As the android pointed her palm forward, her forearm extruded a gun barrel from it, releasing a barrage of projectiles that made the trio get into hiding behind the art pieces.

When one of the bullets hit beside Alice, the woman noticed they weren't lethal rounds and that the android was shooting "sleeping bullets," which were created by the Azure Rebels.

'I see… They don't shoot to kill the intruders in the museum area,' Alice thought.

Zac rushed out of his hiding spot with his baseball bat in hand, running toward the android and catching her attention, prompting her to switch her aim at the redhead.

After zig-zagging along the main hall, Zac tried bashing the android in the head, but the robot blocked his attack with her forearm, making the sound of metal clashing.

When the redhead followed up his attack with a set of strikes, the android was able to read his moves and defend against them, avoiding his stronger swings and kicking him in the stomach.

As Zac was pushed back by the kick, the android was about to continue her assault when Alice shot her in the eye from behind a column, halting the android's movements.

Faint electric currents and sparks shot out the android's face, making her turn around and place her focus on the ex-detective. However, as soon as she got her eyes off Zac, he advanced and slammed her head with the bat, flinging her against a wall.

Balthazar sat atop a statue, watching the Omega Team members fight the android.

It wasn't that the elder vampire didn't want to assist them, but Dante had asked him to leave the fighting to his teammates since they needed more training.

When Balthazar trained with the Jade Dragons at their headquarters, he knew that Alice was supposed to be the latest addition to their team, and he expected her to make some mistakes.

Nevertheless, Alice's experience as a detective gave her a deeper insight into battle, as she seemed to use the perfect moments when her enemies displayed weakness to strike.

On the other hand, Balthazar knew that Zac relied solely on his intuition and reflexes, as his movements always seemed to be improvised.

Suddenly, the trio heard a rustle coming from the area where the android crashed, followed by a buzzing sound that made them notice the robot standing up and using her fingers to weld the damage on her head.

A potent flame shot out from the tip of her fingers as she slid it across her head, sealing back the circuits that were visible on her face.

"She is healing…? Or, I guess it's more like repairing," Zac commented.

"We need to leave her completely broken down, or else she is just going to keep fixing herself," Alice replied.

Right as the android welded the gaping hole in her head, her elbows opened a compartment, releasing two rocket boosters from each.

"What the-?" Zac tried speaking but was cut short in an instant when the android's exhausts produced a potent flame.

In the blink of an eye, the android accelerated and appeared right in front of Zac, punching him in the chin with an uppercut that was boosted by the exhaust on her elbow.

The redhead was flung through the dome window into the rooftop, holding his chin in pain, wondering if it was broken.

With Zac momentarily out of the picture, the android targeted Alice and boosted herself to appear beside her, prompting the woman to duck and avoid her attack. However, she couldn't find an opening to counter.

As Alice took a step back and gained some distance from her opponent, she noticed Balthazar still calmly spectating the fight, and just as she thought about asking him to join, a rumbling shook the entire building.

"We should get this over with…" Balthazar commented, sensing that something strong was coming their way.

The android stopped in her tracks while the ground kept shaking, and when she tried to use the commotion to attack Alice, Balthazar grabbed his walking cane and threw it like a spear from the top of the sculpture.

Alice raised her arms to protect herself from the strike but was interrupted by a shower of sparks when she saw the elder vampire's cane stabbing the android from the shoulder through her torso.

Widening her eyes in realization, Alice's mind went blank momentarily as she quickly drew her sword and thrust it through the android's head, releasing a shockwave of umbra that blasted it away.

Still, the rumbling hadn't stopped, and just as their opponent had been dealt with, the entire floor of the museum's main hall caved in, generating a massive sinkhole leading to the underground room.

Balthazar caught Alice and flew upwards to prevent her from falling down, and as the miasma escaped the underground room, Dante, Megan, and Irina appeared coming out of the hole.

Following the trio, a male android emerged from the sinkhole, and the sounds of the bone golems awakening could be heard all over the building.

*Crackle, crackle* The sound of bones twisting and contorting traveled through their ears.

"Heads up!" Megan shouted to the group on the surface.

When Dante and his group made it out safely from the underground room, they stood atop a wall covered in paintings and noticed that the male android had halted his attacks.

"Scanning complete—Android 3.0 inoperative—Eliminate intruders," the android said.

Still, the robotic man wasn't their only remaining enemy, as the bone golems at the bottom began to climb to the surface.
