MMORPG: Rebirth of the Legendary TimeKeeper-Chapter 134: Meanwhile: Daily life of Trisha Vincent
"Mmmhhh..."
A slight stretch, as Trisha Vincent finally woke up.
The first thing that her eyes landed on was the half-moon through the window, lighting up the beautiful sky. The aesthetic beauty was calming, making Trisha somewhat relaxed before she reached out to her bedside table and picked up the phone.
12 00 AM
Midnight, huh? She mumbled under her breath before removing the blanket and getting out of her bed.
As far as the daily schedule of Trisha goes, it would be very rare for her to be awake at this hour of the day. For a girl who slept every night at 10 and woke up by 5 AM every day of the year without a miss, this was borderline abnormal for her.
But it was already in her control.
She had expected this to happen when Ezekiel told them about the Raid and the duration it would take. He was kind enough to answer all the questions that Trisha threw at him, relating how long the raid would take and whether they would be allowed to take breaks. Other than that, she also asked about emergency situations that might occur.
Thankfully, all the answers Ezekiel gave were satisfactory to her, allowing her to prepare everything in advance for this day to come.
In fact, the 14 hours of sleep that she had taken were also a part of her plan, since she knew she would be tired. Though, to be precise, she spared 18 hours for sleep just in case.
I am still hungry. She said with a dejected expression.
She had already eaten a lot after finishing the game, and now that she was still hungry, like a lot, she got worried about her weight for a moment there. In the end, she decided to shed some weight later on after the raid was over.
Until then, maintaining proper energy levels was more important.
Moving towards the kitchen area, she picked up the milkshake she had prepared before eating a few sandwiches. Her hunger pangs went away, but she was far from full. Hence, she decided to eat one more sandwich until her satiety was 2/3rd filled.
That way, she would avoid feeling bloated like she did in the morning while also not worrying about feeling hungry again a couple of hours later.
All right. Let’s begin. She mumbled once again before changing into her jogging clothes and beginning to stretch. Since she missed the entire session yesterday and the day before, she had to make up for the exercises for both days.
It would be a little more tiring, but it was necessary if she wanted to stay in the habit.
Exercising for 2 hours and then running on her personal treadmill for 30 minutes, she was finally done with the first major task on her list.
Heavily drenched in sweat, she then went to the bathroom and took a quick shower before changing into comfortable clothes. A t-shirt and a long skirt. This was her daily clothing, which she would wear when she had to stay indoors. Keeping outdoor clothes separate from those she wore in the house was something she had done ever since she could remember.
A habit that was passed down from her mother to her.
Since the first major task of her day was done, she then moved to the next one.
The Academics.
It involved the daily studying and revision that she did without fail. Adding the management of the student council at Regalia University. She was the General Secretary and handled all the smaller issues that the President and the Vice-President should not be dealing with.
Hence, while her presence was important, it was something that she could slack off on if she wanted to. Especially during exams, when she needed to put in extra time for studying.
Studying would be hard at this point, so let’s just revise. She thought as she picked up the books and reviewed everything she had learned over the past 7 days. Since it was a basic revision, it took about an hour and a half.
Since she had time to spare, she also completed a few extra Student Council tasks, reducing her burden from the time after the raid when she would need to finish everything without an error.
Studying done. Exercising done. Eating done. What else can I do? She questioned in her mind, pondering her usual schedule. Though by the end of it, she realised that there was nothing she could have done other than review.
Calling her friends or family was out of the question. Plus, even if she did call, there was nothing important enough to talk about. It will mostly be a waste of time. As for buying anything... that’s something that can be delayed.
In the end, she decided to take a walk around the mansion and clear her mind. Perhaps she can recall the entire three-day raid and plan accordingly. Normally, she would have done it on paper, but for now, she just wanted to walk a little.
Taking out her favourite jacket, she then prepared herself for a walk in the cold morning. And with a warm water bottle in her hand, she got outside, greeted the guards and began her morning walk.
Let’s look back at the raid. There was the travel. The Raid’s first part, the Garden. Lastly, the Cemetery. She recalled every detail, everything that had happened today. She mumbled the conversations in her mind, wondering if her tone was right or if there was something better she could have said at those moments.
All in all, she was proud of herself. Everything was done quite nicely, in ways she wanted it to be.
Though if there was something that could have been improved, that was her connection with Ezekiel. Despite all her efforts for the past three days, she was unable to connect with him at all.
He is friendly, but hard to approach. Easy-going, but always have a wall in between. She sighed as her analysis was pretty much spot on. Others might not have noticed it, but because of the way Ezekiel communicated, it was easy to talk to him. But it also made it very difficult to ask any personal questions.
The conversation would always flow in the direction he wanted, and before you realise it, you would have wasted a lot more time asking things about the game than about Ezekiel.
He is quite good. But I guess, if he can open up to Raven, if the chance is right, he can open up to the rest of us as well. Trisha thought, motivating herself. It was a hard challenge that she welcomed, and even though it seemed like it was going to take a bit of effort to get closer to him, she was ready to put up with it.
Hopefully, he is not an artificial intelligence. I would like to meet him in real life. She did a silent prayer before moving on to the next most important person at the party. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Raven.
How was it that even she was not approachable? Trisha thought with slight despondency.
Unlike Ezekiel, who was like a complex puzzle, Raven was straight up a wall. It was hard to get across to her, difficult to talk to her, and no matter what she did, she couldn’t break that ice between them.
At least, I got to know some of her likes. Trisha smiled as she recalled how excited Raven was about graveyards.
Perhaps I can bring a few things related to the Goth culture. She did say that she liked Vampires, didn’t she? Trisha then got lost in her own fantastical thoughts as she continued to walk around the mansion until dawn came.
"It’s morning already?" She yawned as she looked at the day getting brighter by the minute. Gazing at the sunshine, she decided to go back to the mansion now.
I should be glad that I got to be a part of this party, though. This game seems to be far more important than I initially thought it would be. She pondered as she walked back.
While the lore interested her, and the gameplay was phenomenal, what was even more fascinating to her was that almost all the big companies have started investing in the game. Everyone is trying to get ahead of everyone else.
The fact that she was currently one of the top players was due to her decision to follow Ezekiel. It was probably the best decision she had made.
If she were to somehow gain an upper hand in this game and maintain her standing for a long time, she just might be able to create a force of her own within the game. Something that might get even bigger than what her family owns.
She could feel it in her heart. That this whole thing was far more important than anything she had done her entire life. It was her ticket to the top of the world.
Well. For now, let’s just keep on moving one step at a time. She thought as he reached back to the mansion before waking Gabriel up.
"Wake up, princess. We got work to do," she said in a mundane tone as she began explaining things that they needed to do within the raid today.
