Chapter 813  Underground Showdown

"Get ready, they're coming," Ren warned.

As tension mounted in the dimly lit underground of the Netherworld, where Ren and his companions stood poised for battle, a sudden shift in the air signaled an unexpected turn of events. The group were bracing themselves for the impending confrontation with the surrounding players and guilds, and found themselves startled by a voice that cut through the anticipation like a blade through the silence of the underground.

The voice, dripping with a mixture of familiarity and menace, echoed from behind them, causing Ren and the others to whirl around in surprise. In the shadows, a figure emerged, silhouetted against the faint glow of luminescent fungi clinging to the cavern walls.

"Well, well, you've finally showed yourself, Ren," the voice sneered.

Ren's hand instinctively tightened around the hilt of his scepter as he narrowed his eyes, recognizing the speaker. It was none other than Cang Lu of Sleeping Dragon together with their hundred member and core memebers. There was no Angelica in their anks but Ren's eyes strained on Hixel and Aragon. Sleeping Dragon revealed themselves fully to the group. Clad in armor adorned with intricate designs that seemed to shimmer with an otherworldly aura, they exuded an air of confidence and arrogance that was palpable even in the oppressive atmosphere of the underground realm. The origin of this chapter's debut can be traced to n(0)vel(b)(j)(n).

Their face, partially concealed beneath the shadow of a hooded cloak, bore the unmistakable mark of someone who had spent countless hours honing their skills in combat. "You've been so elusive, Ren. We thought you were too scared and went into hiding," Dimitri laughed, his voice echoing through the cavern. Behind him stood the formidable force of Fate Alliance Guild, their presence looming like a dark cloud over the scene.

The others laughed along with Dimitri, their confidence bolstered by the sheer number of players gathered to crush World Conqueror in one mighty blow.

"It would have been best if you had stayed hidden."

"Ahahaha, you shouldn't have shown your face."

"This is the end of you and your guild."

Ren only smirked in response. "I'm flattered. You've even mustered the full force of your guild just to defeat us? Are you that scared?"

Cang Lu's expression twisted with anger, and Dimitri's smile faltered for a moment.

"It's to make sure that you won't be able to escape from us," a voice suddenly cut through the crowd, causing a ripple of anticipation.

The players parted to reveal the arrival of Black Lion and its mighty force. Clad in artifacts obtained through auctions, Black Lion was a force to be reckoned with.

This time, Joker wasn't with them. Alongside them stood White Unicorn, Black Raven, and other powerful guilds, united in their goal to bring down World Conqueror once and for all.

"It looks like they're going all out," Sumeri muttered, her eyes narrowing at Scar and Invayne.

"You're very slippery after all," Scar said with a smirk.

Whispers rippled through the crowd.

"It's Black Lion and White Unicorn."

"Now World Conqueror will really be killed."

"They stand no chance against this coalition army."

"This is like the culmination of the top guilds bringing down World Conqueror. Can they survive this?"

"Idiot, that's impossible. Black Lion and White Unicorn bought most of the artifacts auctioned last time, and coupled with their core members, they're a goner."

The players who had come for Ren's bounty found themselves recording the scene instead, eager to share it online.

News of the confrontation spread like wildfire, drawing reporters and media outlets racing to get online and capture the entire event.

It was a scene where all the top guilds had united to form a coalition army with the singular aim of taking down a single guild, World Conqueror.

Ren could feel the tension thickening in the air as the other members of his group tensed, preparing themselves for the inevitable clash that loomed ahead.

"Scar," Ren uttered the name with a hint of disdain, his voice tinged with a mixture of amusement and contempt. "I'm honored that you've personally shown yourself and even brought everyone with you just to defeat me."

Scar's lips curled into a smirk, revealing a flash of white teeth in the gloom. "I'm just making sure that you won't run away and went into hiding again," he replied, his voice dripping with mockery. "I'm here to settle this once and for all."

Ren's jaw clenched as he squared his shoulders, meeting Scar's gaze with steely resolve. Behind him, his companions bristled with anticipation, their weapons at the ready as they prepared to fight.

Ren stifled a laugh. "I think you misunderstand why I showed myself here."

Scar raised a brow. "Oh? Is it to surrender and plead for your life?"

Laughter echoed, but Ren remained unfazed.

Ren threw a small smile. "Don't get me wrong . . . we aren't trapped here with you . . . you're the one who is trapped here with us."

The laughter ceased abruptly, each individual eyeing the other warily. While Ren's words might have seemed like bravado to some, those who knew him and the reputation of World Conqueror understood the weight behind them. No one dared to dismiss his words lightly.

The tension in the air was palpable as Ren and Scar locked eyes, each silently daring the other to make the first move. In the darkness of the Netherworld, where the boundaries between reality and fantasy blurred, the stage was set for a showdown.

As the echoes of their confrontation reverberated through the underground, signaling the start of the battle to come, Ren and the others braced themselves for the inevitable clash and settling the score once and for all. Just as Scar raised his hand to signal the commencement of the fight, a dark, suffocating air suddenly gripped everyone. Those who couldn't resist and lacked the defensive stats to counter the strange fog's effects immediately fell unconscious.

The thousands of players congregated in the barren land were reduced to half in an instant, and a few more were on the brink of losing consciousness.

"Looks like you're in trouble. Need some help, Ren?"
