Xin gulped audibly, his apprehension palpable. He was relieved to know that Evangeline’s lethal prowess in one-shooting creatures applied only to her own kind.

"Agh . . ." Evangeline groaned, overcome by dizziness, collapsing onto the ground. "S-so . . . hungry . . ."
