Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva-Chapter 1615 - 79: Reunion After Twenty Years
'I ask you, what is the principle of life?'
'It is the eternal yearning and desire.'
'Or is it the end after being completely satisfied.'
——————
Year 1300 of the Sixth Era, the Year of Burning Destiny.
This was a magnificent year in the history of the Rose Federation. Since the Volcano Songstress Prin Coco took control of the Federation, the entire nation slowly pulled itself out of the mire it was stuck in, moving from a conservative stagnation to a state of exploration and progress.
3489 new residential space stations were established in various sectors of the Milky Way, 209 inhabited stars built the ecological circulation Dragon Vein System, every industry reaped the benefits in the rapidly developing economic situation, a wave of the era lifted countless people to heights once unimaginable, making them more confident in their choices, naturally enjoying all this.
These 20 years were called the third revival of the Rose Federation by scholars, a golden, flamboyantly burning 20 years.
Just like the initial idea of the 'Fire Lotus - Radiant Star' factions, they used scorching economic development to eliminate social class contradictions, ushering in another glorious era for the Federation.
"We are honorable."
"We are proud."
"We ought to praise all this as a reward for our efforts."
"Cheers!" xN
The gold-red liquid splashed and rippled in the magnificent hall, like the shimmering ocean, brimming with passionate and proud emotions.
Floral Crown Star Domain, Federation Capital Star.
Prin leaned against the golden World Tree alone, her fiery red hair illuminated by the tree's halo, dyed with a faint gold. Beside her were two wine glasses and a bottle of orange Cointreau.
She was waiting for someone, and time hadn't made her lose patience. A door on one side of the hall opened, and out came a young girl with black hair dressed in grand attire.
"You're here, Tilan."
Prin didn't look up, already knowing who had arrived. She picked up the bottle beside her and slowly poured two glasses full.
The clear sound of water echoed in the glass, the amber-colored liquid flowed, releasing a faint wine fragrance.
"You know, I don't like alcohol." Tilan's elegant voice came as she approached Prin.
"I know, but today is different."
Prin handed the full glass to the girl, the golden etched patterns on the arm revealed from the sleeve, paired with the brilliantly radiant flame mark on Prin's brow, indicating she was at the peak of the songstress rank, the Fiery Sun Rank in the Sunlit Level.
She took the wine glass, sniffed it slightly, then took a sip. The taste was smooth and fruity, not too unpleasant. It seemed Prin had chosen it according to her taste.
Seeing she didn't refuse, Prin supported her head and smiled, then picked up her cup, gesturing to Tilan, and downed it in one gulp.
"This way, it tastes better."
The two didn't talk about the events of the past 20 years, nor did they mention the promise back then, only slowly drinking, savoring the fragrance, feeling the subtle changes brought by the alcohol.
Not long after, the girl's face flushed slightly, her chest softly rising and falling; she put down the glass and stopped.
Prin didn't force her, continuing to slowly fill her own glass.
They sat leaning against the golden World Tree at the conference table, only the clear sound of pouring echoed. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
For a long time.
"I suppose I'll still be sitting here for 20 more years." Prin said calmly about her decision.
'Here' is the conference hall of the Federal Central Council, and the golden World Tree behind them was planted by Isenisha when the Federation was founded, holding enormous symbolic significance.
"Mmm." Tilan nodded lightly, not opposing.
"Actually, I originally thought you would win." Prin spoke of her former thought.
"Yes, I acted very assertively, giving people a sense of confidence and arrogance, but at that time, I still thought you would win."
"But what mattered to me wasn't the victory or loss in 20 years, but whether the repressed obsession in my heart could fully unfold and manifest, even if the final outcome was failure, I wouldn't regret." She said, gently blowing on the wine in front of her, watching it boil instantly and ignite.
"Like a self-destruction, I was prepared to face death, doing whatever I thought."
"Regardless of everything."
"But the miracle is, I actually smoothly achieved it, without perishing halfway."
"I'm beginning to understand what those Fiery Sun Level songstresses in history are like, why songstresses have such a high status within the Federation, and why those parliament members are so afraid of the emergence of Sunlit Level songstresses."
"The power brought by authority can smooth any shadows in the heart, make all regrets dissipate and dissolve, then become calm and certain."
"Now, being calm and open, I even have the spare energy to thank you for your contribution. If you return to the Federation, I would be willing to share half the power with you and let the Federation experiment with some of your ideas." Prin spoke, not entirely unaware of Tilan's activities in the Sigma Mechanical Council.
To this, Tilan shook her head slightly.
"If you merely want my technology, giving it to you is no problem, but I won't return." For her, fame and power were not particularly important or necessary.
"Are you sure you don't want it?" Prin lay gently on the conference table, gazing at the golden leaves above.
"You know, when countless people move around your will, acting on your command, what an exhilarating feeling it is, as if this Star Sea moves in your hands." She murmured, gently raising her hand, watching the golden glow between her fingers.
