Just as he was thinking of changing the topic to something else, Valerian stepped ahead and started talking about the afternoon's work.

"This afternoon, we will continue the experiment to study the working principle of the Transformation Secret Technique. This time, we will have more advanced instruments to record the entire process and understand how the ancient Dragon Sequence allowed humans to transform into another species in a short period."

"I know."

Ling nodded. This project is now one of their key cooperative projects with the Mechanical Council, with about 14 groups working simultaneously. His group is one of them, with nearly a hundred members, led and co-led by both humans and mechanical beings. Miss Valerian is a mid-level manager within the group, overseeing more than a dozen people, including him.

"Last time you mentioned that the realization of this secret technique may not be changing human biological characteristics, but rather realizing a kind of fantasy, turning oneself into a fantastical existence. The forms of dragons, phoenix birds, and other exotic beasts are merely symbols carrying that fantasy."

"Yes." Speaking of his area of expertise, Ling quickly calmed down.

"Most ancient Transcendents did not systematically study biological knowledge. They did not have a deep understanding of the body structure, internal circulatory systems, and many subtle features of dragon species, yet they could transform into similarly powerful beings. There must be a special way to fill this unreal gap."

"In a sense, it's precisely because they are not truly transforming into dragons that there is a time limit, as this is a 'form' maintained by Extraordinary Power rather than reality."

"But Extraordinary Power is great and magical; it spontaneously fills in the missing parts and even allows the whole system to operate, just like a real organism."

"If this form can be more perfected and stabilized, it would mean that humans will no longer be confined to a specific form, which would benefit many fields, allowing humanity to break through the shackles of biological frameworks."

"A form is no longer a limitation..." Valerian touched her chin with her finger, repeating the phrase.

"I'm really looking forward to it."

...

In another part of the city

On the lush green grass, Tilan and Mel walked beside a giant wild boar, which had bags hanging on its back, with many things hanging on both sides.

"Oink oink." The brown-haired giant wild boar laid down in the center of the grassland.

"This is the place, Hexia~" Mel pressed lightly on her sun hat and turned around.

This former classmate of Tilan from Yuanting Academy has now followed her to the Sigma Mechanical Council without hesitation, bringing many of her great friends.

Compared with thirty years ago, Mel appears much more mature now, but due to being a Transcendent, she looks only about 26 years old.

She comes from a good family and has always been in the company of various Extraordinary Animals after graduation, rarely engaging in mundane society, with little change in her temperament compared to the past.

"Alright." Tilan also stopped, and the two of them moved the ice cream maker from the wild boar's back onto the lawn.

"Next are the ice and beverage makers and our small table to use," Mel said with slight happiness, her deep purple hair tied into a single braid in front of her.

"The kids will come soon; we need to prepare today's ice cream and popsicles. Oh, and we should set up a price list since Tilan said not everything can be free."

"That's true." Tilan joined her in the bustling activities. Today, she was dressed in a casual sports outfit with a circular sun hat on her head, making it hard to tell that she was a famous songstress in the Federation.

Half an hour later, a group of children, led by their teacher, came to play on the grass, and some of them immediately ran over upon seeing the ice cream stand.

"Wow, there's ice cream, Lily, look~"

"I saw it, huh, no need for your reminder."

"Let's go eat."

"Let's go, go, go~" Several children crowded around Tilan.

"I want... cranberry flavor." A child placed his hand on the edge of the table.

"I like Purple Herb flavor."

"No problem, please wait a moment." The black-haired girl behind the table raised her finger, her purple eyes blinking lightly, then briskly prepared the ice cream, adding fruit and chocolate chips as requested.

After taking the ice cream, the children who ran until they were sweating sat down on the grass to enjoy it merrily.

"Is that...? Is it a pig?" One child finally noticed the giant wild boar behind all the facilities of the stand.

At this point, the brown-haired wild boar had already unloaded its bags and was resting under the trees, occasionally snorting softly.

"It's a pig, but aren't pigs all white?" The group of children focused their gaze.

"There are black pigs too, I've seen them in games."

So they walked over out of curiosity, but didn't dare get too close.

Mel, now with some free time, wearing a breathable long dress, approached the giant wild boar, touched its head (actually its cheek), and then took out an apple to stuff into the wild boar's mouth.

In no time, like eating a small candy, the giant wild boar finished the apple and rubbed against Mel.

"Be good, don't scare everyone." Mel smiled and petted it, then waved to the children not far away.

"It's the first time I've seen such a big pig, I used to see them in videos." One child spoke.

"There aren't any wild animals here."
