Chapter 1027: Erasing Twilight

Collins did not stand idle while the Angels were occupied; with a mere thought, he vanished from where he stood, his body transforming into a streak of lightning as he covered the distance between himself and an Angel in less than a split second. The moment he appeared behind the Angel, he cast another spell without remorse or hesitation.

[Lightning Magic: Erasing Twilight]

Mana roared violently around him, Lightning molecules trembling around his palm as they gathered at that precise point with blinding force and terrifying speed. The cosmic air screamed in agony, space itself seeming to fracture at that singular location, and without the slightest hesitation, Collins stretched out his palm and unleashed his spell with devastating precision.

An enormous beam of pure Lightning energy, capable of swallowing stars and entire solar systems as though they were insignificant, tore outward from his hand, and true to its name, it erased everything in its path as it surged forward. The battlefield around him turned completely white, as though no other color dared to exist within that moment of pure destruction.

The Angel’s reaction was instantaneous; he did not need to turn to perceive the incoming attack, his senses alone were more than sufficient. His agility flared to its peak, his wings flapping as he twisted midair without any restriction of movement. The moment his golden eyes locked onto the incoming beam, he invoked his own skill without delay.

Field Of Faith

His Faith Energy rippled outward as radiant light erupted from his body, condensing into a defensive barrier within a split second, just in time to intercept the incoming devastation. With maddening intensity and overwhelming force, Collins’ attack slammed into the light-forged field. A world-erasing explosion tore outward with all-consuming power, space and the very molecules around them being erased effortlessly under the sheer magnitude of the clash.

The Angel gritted his teeth, his expression tightening as he both saw and felt the cracks rapidly forming across his barrier. He poured more Faith Energy into it in a desperate attempt to reinforce it, but it made no difference. Just as the barrier was on the verge of complete collapse, another Angel intervened immediately, launching an attack toward Collins in an effort to save his comrade.

Collins’ black eyes snapped sharply to the side as he sensed the incoming threat, an Angel closing in with a deadly spear thrust aimed directly at him. Without missing a beat, Collins swung the very palm that was unleashing the Lightning beam toward the approaching Angel, and like a blade slicing through butter, the beam shifted direction and crashed headfirst into the Angel with frightening erasing force.

The Angel had been completely caught off guard; she could not react in time. She had assumed Collins’ attack was stationary, believing it to be a fixed, linear strike that could not be redirected, but she had been wrong, and that single miscalculation cost her everything, her life extinguished in an instant.

Her armor offered no resistance, no protection whatsoever, as she was utterly erased by the overwhelming force of the attack, leaving behind neither a corpse nor even the smallest fragment of her existence.

[Holy Magic: Sword Of Gratitude]

One of the remaining Angels immediately cast a spell, and in less than the blink of an eye, Collins’ surroundings were filled with massive golden swords of light, each radiating immense destructive power. Collins abandoned his attack instantly; his Lightning phasing ability only worked against physical strikes, not magical constructs. With a thought, his body once again transformed into a streak of white lightning as he vanished from his current position.

His body tore across the battlefield from one point to another, moving with the effortless dominance of one who ruled the skies, dodging each incoming strike with surgical precision. But the Angels did not relent; they pressed their assault continuously, their numbers now reduced to seven, yet their coordination and aggression only intensifying.

[Holy Flame Magic: Solar Eclipse]

Collins came to an abrupt halt, his head snapping upward, then to the side, then behind him in rapid succession. From every conceivable angle, heat flared and converged, gathering into what appeared to be miniature suns. But this was not the sun; the heat was far greater, far more intense, to the point where space itself melted like glass under the overwhelming thermal pressure. Without hesitation, a booming explosion erupted outward with the force of collapsing stars, detonating at point-blank range from every direction simultaneously.

The battlefield was engulfed in orange and crimson as flames consumed everything indiscriminately, expanding outward to swallow planets and stars within reach, while thick smoke and searing fumes blanketed everything in sight.

The Angels did not move; they floated in place, their senses heightened to their extreme limits. They did not dare assume Collins had perished, assumptions had already cost many of their comrades their lives. Until they saw a body, until they had undeniable proof, their guard would remain up and at its peak.

Through the clearing smoke and churning fumes, Collins appeared once more, his body completely unblemished as he floated within the void, his expression calm, indifferent, and utterly unfazed by the destruction that had just taken place.

The Angel who had cast the previous spell could not help but frown, a flicker of frustration crossing his features; he had believed his attack would at least inflict some degree of damage, yet it had achieved nothing, as Collins had blocked it entirely.

In the very next moment, mana surged outward from Collins’ body once again. The Angels did not need to be told, they already knew he was preparing another spell. Yet they did not retreat; they were facing a mage, and granting a mage distance was a fatal mistake. Close-range combat was traditionally a mage’s weakness, and they intended to exploit it.

But their reaction was too slow, and their strategy was utterly useless against Collins. This tactic had been employed by countless enemies before them, and Collins had long since surpassed such limitations. He no longer required time to cast his spells, he had outgrown that stage entirely.

[Forbidden Magic: Mana Zone: Molecular Disruption]

The moment the spell was completed, reality itself seemed to still, as though existence hesitated under the weight of what was about to occur. Lightning Magic was typically executed through the control and command of lightning molecules, but this time, Collins was not seeking to control them, no, he was going to destroy them. And with Mana Zone active, his reach expanded drastically, amplifying the scale and potency of his spell to unimaginable levels.

The Lightning molecules within the galaxy trembled with overwhelming intensity and madness, as though the universe itself stood on the verge of collapse. The Angels could not dodge this attack; such an action would be meaningless. Lightning molecules existed everywhere, there was nowhere to escape, nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

And then, it happened.

The Lightning molecules detonated outward like an overfilled vessel bursting under pressure, the battlefield erupting into a chaotic tapestry of blinding white flashes and overwhelming brilliance. Lightning crackled violently, it sizzled, it raged, it erased, it obliterated, it wiped away everything in its reach without mercy.

Space? Torn apart without resistance.

Planets? Erased completely without leaving a trace.

Solar systems? Reduced to nothing but scattered remnants and drifting debris.

Stars? Annihilated utterly, their existence wiped from reality itself.

In a single, forbidden spell, millions of kilometres within the Acarnis Galaxy were erased, wiped clean from existence as though they had never been there at all, leaving behind only silence, devastation, and the lingering echoes of unimaginable power.
