MIGHT AS WELL BE OP-Chapter 1016: Abnormal Ones [Bonus - ]
"Sigh... who knew this moment would come? I thought it was never going to end," Veronica spoke with a sigh as she sat, a teddy bear bigger than her already in her hands, which she hugged as she spoke.
"Same, with the way the fights were going, I thought it would never end," Altheria stated with a sigh as she had thoroughly enjoyed the show.
Veronica nodded, then spoke, "So, what now? After such a battle, I’m sure we should explore somewhere and, you know, cool off and relax," she suggested, her tone making it evident that she was used to such moments of relaxation and leisure. After all, she had spent much of her time with Vega moving from planet to planet.
Altheria nodded in agreement with Veronica’s words. Veronica immediately turned to Vega to ask about follow-up plans, but before she could even speak, Vega spoke first. "Maybe at a later time. I’m not sure anyone has the time to attend such things," she stated calmly, not dismissing the idea entirely but explaining that everyone would soon be far too busy.
Altheria arched an eyebrow, wondering what could possibly be keeping them busy, and she couldn’t help but ask, "Why?"
"Seclusion," Aura Nova answered before Vega could.
Then it immediately hit Altheria and Veronica. This had been a battle between outrageous geniuses; there was no way they would battle each other and not gain something from each other’s clashes.
And indeed, they were right. Almost everyone present had gained something. Although Lucian simply had to wait for the system to finish deciphering whatever it was deciphering, it didn’t mean he hadn’t had his own personal gains. He had gained a lot from his battles with Anthony and Aaaninja, insights and understandings that could not be ignored, which meant he would need to return to seclusion to properly understand them and even take his comprehension a step further.
Everyone already knew why Aura Nova was entering seclusion, so there was no question there. As for Aaaninja, although he had broken through, he still had ideas and thoughts he had to put into practicality, and things he needed to digest on his personal level, together with the power and knowledge that had come from his current breakthrough.
Kingsley wasn’t left out either. He had the Martial Rhythm to train, and not only that, although he could be considered nearly perfect in hand-to-hand combat, he realized that compared to Anthony, he was still below him in terms of pure technique and finesse.
But those who fought weren’t the only ones who had gained something. Almost everyone did. Riven, Vespera, Zachary, Nyxss, and even Rain had gained something. After all, they who were from the Older Generation could not watch a spar of this level and not grasp or understand a few things.
And Vega had gained something as well. Her Eyes of the Universe were not decorations; just like Anthony’s All Seeing Eyes, they were permanently active at all times without any form of strain or backlash. Meaning she had gained quite a lot from this spar too, perhaps even more than most of them could imagine.
And lastly, and surprisingly, Klaus and Amara, two beings who stood above galaxies with utter ease, had also gained something from a battle of this level. Normally it was impossible... no, it should have been impossible. But Lucian Darkheart and Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos had made it possible after they both used their Personification abilities.
With those two abilities, Amara and Klaus, beings for whom taking a single step in power usually meant spending countless eons, had now taken a glimpse at the impossible, a fleeting yet undeniable glimpse at power that stood above even them. And by the time they went into seclusion and eventually came out, reality itself might shudder in fear and denial at whatever they had achieved.
As for Veronica and Altheria, the both of them had simply been far too weak to glimpse or understand anything from what had transpired. This had been a battle beyond even their greatest imagination. Even if they had watched every second of it with utmost attention, they simply could not gain anything from it. After all, one could not skip from level one to level ten and then jump straight to level one hundred. One had to walk before they could run, and these two were still crawling. How could they possibly understand power on such a level? 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
But they weren’t the only ones who had gained nothing.
Anthony himself had also gained nothing from this spar, simply because he had been too powerful. Although one might argue that he should have gained something from the Personification abilities, just like how Amara and Klaus had gained something from witnessing them... but no matter how ridiculous his talent was, the same reason that bound Veronica and Altheria also bound him.
LORDTEE’S PERSONIFICATION and RIVER OF TIME’S PERSONIFICATION were not something the current Anthony could simply see through just because he was talented enough. They were abilities that required understanding of things that were still beyond him at the moment. Of course, if he ever reached a point where he could comprehend those things, then with his perfect memory he could always remember the final abilities Aaaninja and Lucian had displayed and gain whatever he wished to gain from that moment in time.
Altheria and Veronica couldn’t help but sigh as they spoke. "Are you sure we qualify to hang around you people? Tsk, we are simply the normal ones here. You all are the abnormal ones," Veronica couldn’t help but cry out as she sighed in total defeat.
Anthony and the rest paused at her words for a moment, then suddenly burst out laughing at Veronica’s statement. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time someone had called them abnormal.
"Yeah, yeah, keep laughing. I will get to your level one day and defeat all of you," she stated, obviously joking, as she wasn’t delusional enough to seriously consider or even believe such a thing.
At her words, everyone simply laughed again, the atmosphere that had been filled with battles and destruction moments ago now replaced with laughter and lightheartedness between friends, as though the echoes of the battle had already faded into distant memory.
