MIGHT AS WELL BE OP-Chapter 1015: Biological Reaction
Everyone listened as Klaus spoke. Although they did not know exactly how strong he was, they all knew he was powerful. Aaaninja could still remember Klaus and Amara tanking the destruction of the Acarnis Galaxy with their bodies without batting an eye; that feat alone displayed just how absurdly powerful they truly were.
"I have nothing to say but thank you for the great show. I truly enjoyed every moment of it, and if there will be another spar or battle between you all, I will certainly be present," he paused for a moment before speaking again, "although I doubt that will be happening anytime soon. Although I would love to share a few gifts, you all are already far too strong for your age to need anything from me," he sighed as he shook his head.
The moment Klaus finished speaking, Rain, Zachary, Riven, and the rest approached him with smiles. Although they had only met him barely a few days ago, that did not mean they would not try to establish connections with this overwhelmingly powerful man whom no one truly knew the limits of.
Altheria turned toward Vega as she spoke, "You know you can tell us how strong your parents are, right?" she stated, as she was far too curious not to ask. At her words, everyone’s ears sharpened instantly, because who would not want to know.
Vega could only sigh before speaking, "I personally don’t know. I’m too weak to properly understand," she paused, her eyes shifting toward Anthony as she continued, "Anthony might have a better idea though," she stated calmly.
The moment those last words left her lips, several eyes snapped toward Anthony, who was sitting silently. He blinked in confusion, wondering why Vega could not simply leave him out of it. Even he did not know how powerful Klaus truly was. Although he had summoned his Primordial Beast to fight him prior to Vega’s birthday, he was certain Klaus had not gone all out.
"How could I possibly know when their daughter, their only child at that, doesn’t even know?" Anthony answered simply as he shrugged with calm indifference.
Lucian, Aaaninja, and the rest could only sigh in disappointment as they failed to gather any useful information.
’Tsk, so many overpowered people present and I can’t even copy any of them,’ Lucian thought to himself, a little saddened. As Klaus and Amara’s daughter, Vega was bound to possess some extraordinary abilities and skills, but he could not even copy her. Klaus, Anthony, Aaaninja, Amara, Aura Nova, and Kingsley were all completely out of bounds.
Although he could copy Veronica, Altheria, Zachary, Riven, and the rest, Lucian could not even be bothered. His standards were simply far too high at the moment.
He sighed again at the loss he was experiencing by the minute.
[Host, there is no need to be sad. After what I am doing, Anthony and everyone else could be considered trash]
Lucian’s system chimed within his mind, immediately halting whatever gloomy thoughts he had been entertaining. He seemed unconvinced; Anthony and trash in the same sentence? Did the system think his intelligence quotient had suddenly dropped after facing his previous backlash?
The system seemed to pick up Lucian’s thoughts and immediately replied.
[Okay, I might have gone a bit overboard with the boasting]
If the system had a physical form, it would probably be coughing awkwardly at the moment. It had only been trying to elevate Lucian’s mood, and now it had placed itself in a rather embarrassing position.
’Explain,’ Lucian replied, although the system had boasted somewhat unrealistically, he was sure it would not make such statements without having something substantial to support them.
[I can’t say much at the moment, but... due to the LORDTEE’S PERSONIFICATION ability that you used, I was able to see through some things. Although I can’t exactly say what I saw, because at the moment I am still trying to decipher them. It could take a couple of months, but I am confident that when I am done, whatever advantage your rival, Aaaninja, currently has over you will be completely gone]
The system explained excitedly.
Lucian paused for a moment, then in the next instant, a flicker of light flashed through his eyes. Although the system had not specified what it had seen, he was certain that when the system was finished deciphering everything, he would take a significant step forward in power. A smile appeared on his lips as the gap between him and Aaaninja that had just been created a few minutes ago would be erased very soon.
Just in a few months.
Although he did not know what Aaaninja had gained, he did not know what knowledge or power the boy possessed, he was confident in the system. Aaaninja had the River Of Time; he, Lucian, had the system.
’I knew you would come through, system,’ Lucian shamelessly praised, as if he had always believed such a thing.
[ ᕙ (° ~͜ʖ~ °) ᕗ ]
The system replied, flexing in its superiority and basking in Lucian’s praise.
’A couple of months,’ Lucian thought to himself as he leaned back into his seat. Who would not be happy in his situation? He did not need to do anything at all; he just had to sit back and relax for a few months, and then the next moment, his combat power would skyrocket.
’If Anthony, Aaaninja, and Aura knew, they would definitely be jealous,’ he thought as he smiled.
"What is making you smile so much?" Anthony’s voice suddenly cut through whatever imagination he had been entertaining.
Lucian coughed as he had been caught off guard. "Nothing, nothing," he replied quickly.
Anthony arched an eyebrow as he spoke again. "Then why are you coughing so awkwardly?" He knew Lucian was definitely thinking something suspicious; he had seen that smug and slightly evil smile before.
"I’m a living being, coughing is simply a biological reaction," Lucian replied swiftly.
Aaaninja turned his gaze toward Lucian and Anthony for a brief moment before looking away again. Anthony simply stared at Lucian for a few seconds before shaking his head, already knowing that the man was definitely not going to answer truthfully.
