The .338 Lapua Magnum round can reach a range of 1,500 meters while retaining enough power, but regardless of the gun used, at this distance, the bullet’s spread becomes too large for precision shooting. Hitting the target really depends largely on luck.

So, if the shooting distance reaches 1,000 yards, which is over 900 meters, and still maintains excellent accuracy, then this gun and bullet are quite remarkable.

Just like Gao Yang using the Blade of Satan, when using ordinary 7.62 NATO rounds, he basically wouldn’t attempt to shoot targets beyond 800 meters. But when using high-speed, long-distance rounds that are expensive and scarce, he would often shoot targets over 1,000 meters away, and fairly confidently attempt ultra-long-range shooting at targets over 1,100 meters, sometimes even hitting targets at 1,200 meters. For the 7.62 caliber, this is truly an ultra-long-range.

The .338 Lapua Magnum round, with a metric caliber of 86x70 mm, is specifically designed for sniping, with a larger caliber and increased length, making this not-so-common but not-rare bullet possess greater power and longer range at the same distance compared to the 7.62 mm caliber.

Therefore, the .338 Lapua Magnum round still retains very high kinetic energy and a relatively smaller spread beyond 1,000 meters.

Alexander sees potential in this bullet, so he started a company to design a semi-automatic sniper rifle specifically for the .338 Lapua Magnum round.

Actually, Alexander has been quite successful. At a 1,000-meter distance, being able to control the spread within the size of a human torso is an excellent sniper rifle, and it’s a semi-automatic rifle.
