Chapter 245: Training base - 6

Silas’s POV

Then if I am Theron’s and Damon’s mate, that means I’m all four brothers’ mate—aren’t I?

"Silas, you’re awake?" My eyes were on Lysander as he asked.

I think I really hit my head hard. That’s why I’m thinking nonsense. I shake off those thoughts.

"I’m fine, Lysander. But there was no need to fight with those guys. You know that—it was useless."

"Are you saying it was useless? Do you really think that was nothing? They were all alphas, and when he touched you, he released pheromones that could have triggered your heat cycle. Do you really think that’s nothing? It’s an crime to release the pheromones which can trigger the omegas’s heat cycle"

"WHAT?!"

I didn’t know they had released their pheromones. Since I can’t sense them, I didn’t realize.

But what they did was indeed wrong. If it was another omega in my place, he might be in heat right now.

I think Lysander did the right thing by beating them.

"Thank you for helping me, Lysander. And why did you hurt yourself? It’s not like I was going to blame you or anything."

I think I know why he did that—because I was already angry at him due to that misunderstanding.

And now he must have thought that I’d hate him even more because he hurt me.

"No need to thank me, Silas. But Silas, tell me honestly—by any chance, you don’t feel pheromones?"

My eyes widened hearing him, and I clenched the quilt that was covering me halfway.

I don’t want to tell them anything about myself. They don’t even trust me.

And who knows—if I forgive them and something like that happens again, there’s no guarantee they’ll believe me.

Despite what I was thinking, a surge of truth rose from my heart.

"To be honest, I don’t feel or sense alpha pheromones—since childhood. But I can feel your pheromones, Lysander. Yours are lavender, right? And Damon’s is a forest aroma. Theron’s is lemon, and Kael’s... I don’t know."

"Wait—Silas knows that I’m your brother, Mr. Damon?" Lysander whispered, but no one paid attention because there was a bigger matter at hand.

"Kael’s pheromones are ice. That’s why there’s not much scent in his pheromones."

They both stood up—Lysander and Damon—and their eyes were on me, filled with questions. But I decided not to meet their eyes.

"Silas, do you know we also can’t sense or feel any omega’s pheromones since childhood? That’s what the Oracle said—that we’d only be able to sense our fated mate’s pheromones."

What? He’s lying, right? I still remember vividly how he asked about my strawberry pheromones.

"You’re lying, right? Because when we first met, you said my pheromones were strawberries."

"Yes. You are the first omega whose pheromones I could feel. Even during that childhood festival."

My eyes widened hearing him—what he said was unexpected.

When they found Orian, strawberry pheromones were coming from him.

That’s why they took him—but later, there were no pheromones on Orian.

"Orian used to like my pheromones. That’s why I had covered him with my pheromones at that time."

But as I said, I now understand what this means. It means I’m really their fated mate.

No—wait. Don’t jump to conclusions, Silas. What you’re thinking is wrong. Very, very wrong.

"I could also feel his pheromones from the start. They’re very sweet," Lysander said.

"Silas, I can’t believe you are our fated mate. You know, I used to think the Oracle was fake—just to keep us from dating any omega. But no—it was true after all," Damon stated.

I stepped down from the bed.

"Silas, what are you doing? You still need to rest," Damon said.

"Please leave me alone. I want to be alone for a while."

They both left the room, and I lay down on the bed again. Because what’s happening in my life right now is really something I didn’t expect at all.

Who would have thought that I’m their fated mate? But wait—it’s not confirmed yet. So let’s not think about it.

For now, my only mission is to do well at this training base. I came here with many hopes and dreams.

Fated mate, those four brothers—that’s my personal life. And I don’t want to mix personal life with professional life.

While thinking, I closed my eyes. And when I did, I fell asleep.

The next day when I woke up, I was in our dorm room, on my bed.

But I clearly remembered I was lying in the medical room.

When I touched my head, it hurt. That means what I saw was not a dream.

I sat up and noticed Lysander was in the bathroom, and his suit was on his bed.

It must be him who brought me back into the dorm.

Creak

I glanced toward the bathroom after hearing the sound. Lysander came out—naked, with only a towel wrapped around his waist. Seeing that, I quickly covered my eyes.

"What are you doing? Wear some clothes at least!"

"Morning, Silas."

I stepped down from the bed without answering, opened my wardrobe, took out my training suit, and ran into the bathroom.

Since I had a head injury, I couldn’t get my hair wet. That’s why I soaked myself in the bathtub, then came out and got ready.

Lysander also got dressed, and we had to go for our training now, since it was our first day.

But just as we were about to leave the room, I grabbed Lysander’s hand to stop him—because I wanted to clear something with him.

"The thing we talked about yesterday..." I didn’t know how to bring it up again, but I had to.

"Silas, that’s our personal matter. Let’s talk about it after two months when we leave from here. Until then, let’s be friends and focus on training. That’s what Mr. Damon and I decided."

I smiled—because I can’t live in the past, blaming them for not believing me. That would be childish of me.

"Okay," I replied
