Mated to Four Alphas-Chapter 221: Separation - 2
Chapter 221: Separation - 2
Theron pushed his mother away from himself, ’cause this was not important right now.
"Mom, don’t beat around the bush and tell me, where did you send Velric?"
"I handed him over to the police, they’ll find his family. It’s nothing to worry about. And how can you push your own mom like this? Do you even know how much I was worried about you?"
"Mom, Silas is also worried about Velric, don’t you think?" Damon said suddenly, stepping forward.
"It’s really frustrating that we have to tolerate this behaviour of yours mom. You know, ’cause of you, how many times we got hurt? But we didn’t say anything ’cause you’re our mother. But you can’t hand over someone else’s kid to the police."
Her eyes widened after hearing this, like her whole world had crumbled.
Now that her own sons were talking to her like this, like she had made some mistake.
In her eyes, she did nothing wrong. And she had the same way of thinking as Kael. Kael takes after her, after all.
"You both are talking to me like this because of this Silas, right?"
"Excuse me? What do you mean by because of me? You did something wrong, that’s why they’re telling you. And I’m sure you still think you did nothing wrong. But believe me, you’re gonna regret it soon."
Saying that, Silas turned and started to leave the mansion. He didn’t want to stay there any longer.
Since she said she handed Velric to the police, that means he’s probably still with them. So he was gonna check the nearby police stations.
"Wait, Silas, I’m coming too," Theron said.
He was about to follow Silas just then—
"No need to follow me, Theron. please stay out of it. That’s what your mother wants, and you should listen to your mother. Because of me, don’t fight with her please."
Silas walked away, and Kara also ran behind him, knowing he didn’t need to be there.
The whole family situation was awkward, and as an outsider, staying while they argued would be even more embarrassing.
When Kara was leaving, Joha glanced at him, then went to his wife to calm her down.
Theron was still about to follow Silas, even after all that, but his mother grabbed his hand to stop him.
She clearly didn’t want her son to follow someone because of whom they were already fighting.
When Silas reached outside, he glanced around, not knowing where to go from there, and just then Kara came to him.
"Silas? That’s your name, right?"
Silas turned towards Kara after hearing that, not expecting him to come out.
"Let me give you a lift. I know the way around here."
"Okay," Silas nodded.
In a second, Kara pulled out his vehicle—and it wasn’t a car, it was a sport bike.
"What are you waiting for? Hop on!"
Silas sat on the bike and grabbed onto Kara’s shoulder for support.
As he settled, Kara wore his helmet and started the bike at full speed.
The speed was so fast that Silas got scared he’d fall, so he grabbed Kara from behind, hands resting on Kara’s stomach.
And just then, Silas’s phone rang. He felt the vibration and tapped on Kara’s shoulder.
"Kara, can you stop for a moment? I’m getting a call."
Hearing that, Kara stopped the bike at the roadside.
Silas got down and when he took out his phone, he saw it was Jeren calling. He answered the call.
— (Silas) "Yes, Mr. Jeren?"
— (Jeren) "Silas, where are you right now? Can we meet?"
— (Silas) "I’m sorry, Mr. Jeren, but we can’t meet right now."
— (Jeren) "Sorry, I didn’t know you were busy. Anyway, if you have time, just call me. And what happened to your voice? It sounds like you’re sad or something?"
Silas didn’t understand how Jeren figured out he was sad.
He hadn’t shown it on his face, or even in his voice, yet Jeren still said he sounded sad.
— (Silas) "I’m not sad, Mr. Jeren. Don’t worry."
— (Jeren) "Silas, you know that you can share everything with me. I’m like your father. So tell me, come on. What happened?"
— (Silas) "Really, nothing happened. I think I should hang up now."
— (Jeren) "Don’t be stubborn and tell me what happened. Otherwise, if you hang up, I will call you again and again."
Jeren kept asking, and Silas had no other choice. So he told Jeren about Velric being missing.
Jeren didn’t understand whose kid Velric was.
He just knew a kid named Velric was missing because Damon’s mother had handed him over to the police to find his true parents.
He didn’t ask further questions after hearing that—like what that kid meant to Silas, or how he ended up with Damon’s mother, etc.
— (Jeren) "Where are you right now? I’m coming there to pick you up. We’re gonna search for that kid named Velric together."
— (Silas) "There’s no need for you to waste your time, Mr. Jeren."
— (Jeren) "My time isn’t being wasted and I have plenty of free time. So don’t worry about me. Just tell me where you are."
Silas looked around, figured out his location, and told Jeren.
After that, Silas hung up the call and stood there.
Kara was staring at him like—when are you gonna tell me to drive?
"Silas, don’t you want to search for that kid? We should leave now, don’t you think?"
"Actually, someone’s coming to pick me up. He said he’d help me search for Velric."
Kara nodded after hearing that and leaned back while standing.
"By the way, Kara... you know last night, right? That black magic... it was originally on Velric?"
"Yes, I know. But it didn’t look like someone else had transferred that black magic onto His Highness. It seemed like he took it upon himself—as if he transferred it onto himself willingly. That’s why."
Kara said with a gentle smile. Silas also smile him back.
"By the way who is coming? If you don’t wanna say then don’t bother"
