Gil was able to keep Walker's mind distracted for a while. But that was all until Gil realized he had to head out and meet Alma. He needed to focus on her as one of the leaders of Genesis and also as the person he was spending the rest of his life with. Gil would have his hands full since he had also brought back a lot of information about the unexplored continent.

Besides this, Gil was also someone who had seen the issues that occurred while on that expedition. The ways that some of those who just wished to pursue glory had failed and caused others to get injured.

He had his own ways of countering that while also pushing the agenda of dedication, loyalty, and growth. He would ensure that every elf he spoke with or worked with would stand as an example. He only needed the time to inspire those values.

Walker actually found himself feeling very confident once Gil had left that he would not hear of a single elf stepping out of line. Gil had gone head to head with the elders who had been against Alma. He had held his own and proved many of them wrong. Therefore, it was a given that he would manage to succeed.

For himself though, Walker knew that he had to take some time and get his head straight. He had dipped his hands in to a greater number of things than he would normally pursue. It was overwhelming and he was beginning to dissociate his own body and development compared to the entirety of Genesis and every small branch it was spreading out to.

Genesis was simply massive now. With the dragons able to help in terms of combat power, areas with powerful and dangerous monsters were handled. Any potential chaotic mana causing corruption here and there was dealt with by those who learned to handle natural mana. With these two forces alone working together, there were a lot of villages, nomadic tribes, and smaller towns that had become much more stable. It also made the roads and traveling much more efficient and safer.

All that aside, there was the boom of adventurers and growth of education shaping the people. Leaders too were beginning to take steps to stay ahead and prove to their subordinates and people that they were destined to lead in this time of great growth. A few people have even begun to call this an era of ever changing growth. Something Walker liked and also worried about.

The mentality that growth was all there should be was hard to accept. Growth could be good but a solely focused being pursuing only growth did not have the morals to ensure that the growth was positive for everyone.

Just like how Walker right now had been finding his mind split and his lack of focus on his own bodily changes. He was potentially setting himself up for a rude awakening when something happened or changed within him that he may react to in the wrong way causing him injury or others around him injury.

Therefore, Walker had stopped where he had and dropped off items he gathered to those who needed them before he entirely isolated himself.

He didn't just stay within the Genesis territory. He separated himself entirely and focused on getting to the most open space he could. Luckily, the open territory between the demi-human kingdom and Genesis had a lot of open fields where even monsters were few and far between. Especially with the fact that the world was larger now that the bridges to the elemental planes were connected.

He didn't need to worry about being bothered by any monster. He naturally deterred them with his presence now. Something he and the others had not entirely realized when they relaxed. They had a presence that poked at the instincts of most people and monsters. Enough to be a warning, but not enough to outright harm or cause larger amounts of fear.

As he sat and watched the sun on the horizon set, Walker eventually closed his eyes and turned his focus inward. Not just to the ways mana moved all around him, but the ways that mana moved within him.

This was where he found the oddities he had sensed lately. The fact that manners were mixing with him more than he believed.

Elemental manas were blending together as if they were casually meeting within nature. Even natural mana formed and broke up as it moved through his body. It was simply the flow of mana in peace and tranquility.

Even the life and death mana that Walker was so careful with were moving around freely from what he could sense. His very own life mana that he could manipulate was denser and moved around his whole body rather than being concentrated anywhere like it had been when he first discovered life mana and how to spur it.

This to him meant that his body was undergoing growth he was unable to fully grasp.

The catalyst for this?

Time mana and space mana.

Both were denser within him than he had understood before.

It wasn't just that time mana was being absorbed in to his body naturally now. It was the fact that he was able to use it subconsciously to see the potential and feel the way toward what he wished to achieve. It was within him and he had to accept that with that came changes for the better.

Changes that would allow him to see a much grander image of everything around him right now.

The space mana was even deeper than that. Walker knew he could manipulate space mana now, and it was actually somewhat easier. He had figured out forms of teleportation and could even call it a skill now. Not to mention being able to sense and help with spatial teleportation formations. That alone was shocking for someone that didn't study those formations and runes constantly.

The space mana and the unique spatial storages he had created all had become firmer than Walker realized. He could feel that he was able to expand the elemental storages. Fire, water, dark, light, earth, and wind had all grown significantly. The items stored there were still held safely without damage, but he could tell that they were now like extensions of himself.

He didn't even fathom that a being stronger than him could potentially reach in to them. It would be the same as someone trying to sneak an entire city in to a small keyhole. It just didn't have enough potential to do so.

He also noticed the unique spaces he had. Not only his first storage where he stored basic items of lesser value or monster parts, but the unique one where time ticked forward.

His overall shock and absolutely heart stopping stunned reaction was enough for anyone if they could see it to understand what was going on.

The unique storage space with time mana melded in was larger. Not just the size of a small garden, but like an entire farmer's field garden. And the herb left there with even a few of the remnants that had been remaining within the space from the fairy dragon's safe haven had anchored themselves within.

They lived there as part of it. Some beings being small elemental spirits too.

It was like a sandbox world. Almost like his dreams of what this space could be were starting to become a reality.

Could he manipulate that space and alter it? Sure to a degree. But he felt that if he did so it would be the same as asking himself if he wanted to cut away pieces of his own heart to see if it could keep beating. Foolish and generally just stupid.

It further reinforced the fact that he had grown. Not just a little, a major leap ahead and was still going through a growth spurt.

But, this confirmed within his mind and soul that the origin beings certainly used their ability to wield spatial mana to bring the different small elemental planes from the chaos that surrounded the greater elemental planes. With his development, he could slightly glimpse the path to achieving what he wished to have. The ability to give those he wished to protect a safe haven if the worst of the worst happened. A place he could store them where they could live and breathe without any risk of dying.

That way he would be able to bring them to safety without them being at any risk whatsoever.

Right now, Walker understood one very clear thing.

He had to accept the changes that were happening to his body and mind. Take to them like a fish to water. That was the only way he could pursue the next steps of what it meant to be an origin race member and who he was destined to be.
