Master Of None-Chapter 2543. Resistance training
"What would you consider as more important right now for what elemental resistance training rune formation rooms we should make? We might be able to make larger ones later." Now this made Walker raise his eyebrows.
He hadn't noticed that the apprentice had a few papers full of questions. Apparently, the rune carvers training him had left him with a task to find out as much as possible. For them, this was a valuable test for their apprentice and what he had learned.
Dealing with customers and what they might need, especially the governing officials, would be very important. Therefore, having their apprentice run through all these questions would be very advantageous for both his growth and ensuring that the projects were exactly what was needed. free𝑤ebnovel.com
"That's a good question. I can tell you that right now the earth elemental plane is shifting from the closest bridge to Genesis. That means we have a connection to the water or the wind elemental plane next. What do you think?" He looked down at the small golem partially formed keeping an eye.
"The light mana I sense would be more telling than water or wind." The true earth sage was not subtle. It seemed that a small golem of earth was always close to Walker, while there were clearly others about Genesis learning.
From what Walker would guess, the elemental kings had allowed for the true earth sage to entirely focus on the world with the fact that multiple races had joined the world and now a monster species had as well. A lot was happening with the world and as the elemental planes shifted they would have to expect more changes.
"Then in that case, with the best guess of our friend the true earth sage, I would like you to focus on a larger light rune resistance training formation. Make a room here if possible and I will select some elites that can begin testing it with you." Being able to choose elites with this in mind would be ideal. Walker wanted to choose soldiers, guards, and a few adventurers if possible.
Looking over at a group of rune carvers, Walker sensed the purer light mana gathering. It was potent and if the light mana was used to flash out all at once it would surely be able to temporarily blind people.
Many people believed that light mana was focused entirely on healing. That was something that just about every race had some misconception about. The very same with how dark mana should always be about rot and decay. The idea that hiding in the dark or even using it to heal people was considered crazy. The idea that light could be used to make barriers or to use illusions was also the very same, often forgotten or ignored.
Yet, if light was used to make some illusions, then it could cause a lot of mental and internal stress. Meaning that it would be a training of the mind and also resistance to light mana. That wasn't what this rune formation was being made for. It was being made for the more brutal and dangerous side of light mana.
The condensed light mana would also be used to make spikes, spears, and even vicious serrated attacks. This was all aside from the pure beams or waves of light mana that could be created to tear through enemies.
Many of the light mages capable of these attacks did not use them since they preferred the defensive and supportive aspects of their mana affinity. Often this led them to becoming major healers and supporters overall. But just as many who had fought beside Alice had seen, there were ways to use the light mana to both buff others and also to fight safely.
Out of habit, Walker began shaping a little light mana in to different shapes. He could condense mana sin to various weapons, not as strong as if he used his eternal codex to act as a base but it was something he had picked up more closely from Alice. She was naturally gifted in shaping light mana which Walker always learned from.
"If you can make rune formations that even craft light daggers. Small ones like this, then you could have additional training potential." His idea was more ahead of what was being done now. The ability to make more traps related to the physical aspects of mana would be ideal for the future.
"Yes. We hope to be able to develop more advanced formations for the resistance training races that will be held in the future, along with a request from the demi-human generals to create new training areas outside of Genesis as well."
For the other representatives and even kingdoms in general to be requesting these things was perfect. It meant that the recent events had inspired them to strengthen their home soldiers.
It wasn't a secret that the forces stationed within Genesis and remaining part of Genesis grew much faster and more advanced than the home based soldiers. The guards within Genesis could also act as an offensive force when needed as well.
Both of these things proved that the kingdoms would fall behind unless they adapted as well. Whatever their people learned had to be brought back and utilized. It would do leaps and bounds of good for the future of everyone within the world.
"Alright, I will check back in a few days." Walker ended things with that. He had more to think about when it came to resistances.
He in particular had to think about his. He had higher resistance to mana and magic because he was always absorbed within it and also because he'd become an origin race member.
Where he grew too was in the changing situations he went through. He was adaptable and knew that he could keep growing. He'd begun to be resistant to space mana as well lately. Something he'd noticed as he began to use it to move around more and more.
What he didn't know is if he was able to find ways to challenge his resistance in the world right now. It was a strange concept if he were to present it, but the way that he was, he had very high resistance. He didn't even have to focus on the buffing skills for himself when he was in the fire elemental plane. He just needed to utilize the mana around him appropriately.
That being the case made Walker feel that the best course for his own training was to keep going in to the elemental planes. Simply because the purity of manas there would challenge him to adapt and grow more.
The issues with that were not few though. He would become more acclimated to using the denser manas and it would still take a lot more time. That would leave him away from Genesis while also making him more dependent on denser and purer manas over the manas of the world.
Besides this, he would have to figure out exactly where he could and could not go within the elemental planes. There were places too dangerous for him while there were also places too delicate for him to do a single thing because of the state of that area. The balance needed to be maintained.
Therefore, the focus on the combining of manas and the essence of space mana within them made Walker focus on that. He felt that he could derive the place space mana played in life, death, and natural mana if he were to focus on it.
He had seen how space mana can be manipulated by the general densities of manas meaning that if he used natural mana with more control he might be able to grasp hidden concepts of space mana. However, when it came to life mana, it was clear that space affinity was something that had to be connected to the life mana of whatever monster or being had it.
This meant the same for the death affinity someone might have. Meaning that both life and death mana had influences on space mana and took up space so to speak. An interesting theory that Walker felt he could learn from.
"Before you leave!" the apprentice helping Walker called out. "These pieces of metal were damaged while we worked, they hold some residual mana that makes them dangerous for crafting, can you look in to recycling them?" Now this was a problem that caught Walker's interest entirely.
He'd seen mana get trapped in metals and other items before. The idea that the manas made these pieces of broken or failed metals dangerous though was intriguing. It meant that the manas could adversely react with the crafting process or other materials of even the same kind.
"I will see what I can do, maybe we will learn something new." He smirked a little and saw a larger barrel of metal scraps.
