Marvel: Umbrella Corporation-Chapter 166: The Meteorite’s Whereabouts
Chapter 166 - The Meteorite’s Whereabouts
In the town of Puente Antiguo~
Inside a bar, Thor was devouring his meal with enthusiasm.
Sitting across from him, Jane rested her chin on one hand, gazing at him with infatuation. No matter how she looked at him, Thor perfectly fit her ideal type—exactly the kind of man she liked.
Beside her, Darcy rolled her eyes as she watched her best friend practically drooling. 'Here comes the lovesick fool again...'
But Darcy hadn't forgotten the real reason they were here.
"You were inside that cloud, weren't you? And also, how are you able to eat an entire box of pastries and still be starving?"
Last night, in the photos she took, a figure had appeared inside the storm clouds before crashing onto their car. There was no doubt now—it had been him.
But what baffled her was how he had been up in the clouds in the first place.
At the table, Eric also looked at Thor with curiosity but remained silent.
Thor, however, didn't bother answering Darcy's questioning. Instead, after finishing his food, he lifted his cup of coffee and took a deep sip, savoring the taste.
This bitter yet aromatic drink gave him a flavor he had never experienced before.
"I like this drink," he said.
Darcy nodded. "Yeah, it's pretty good. I like their coffee too."
"Bring me another!"
Thor then slammed the cup onto the floor.
In Asgard, this was a customary way of expressing appreciation. But here on Earth, it was anything but appropriate.
Everyone in the bar turned to look at him in surprise. The bar owner even flinched in fear, mistaking the noise for gunfire. With the recent rise in robberies, she had been targeted several times already.
Seeing this, Jane quickly stood up and began picking up the broken pieces, "Sorry! I'm so sorry! I'll clean it up right now!"
Meanwhile, Thor simply watched her clean up the mess, making no move to help.
That made Jane furious.
"What's your problem?!"
Thor looked at her, confused, "I liked it, so I wanted more."
Jane huffed, "You could just ask properly!"
"I 'did' ask properly."
Jane sighed, rolling her eyes as she sat back down, "I meant, without smashing things!"
"I didn't mean to be rude..."
Seeing that he was completely impervious to reason, Jane finally gave up, "Fine. Just don't break things anymore, okay?"
Thor finally took a good look at the woman in front of him. She had a temper, but he liked that. She was also quite beautiful, with an air of intelligence and grace.
Unlike the warrior women of Asgard, who were all muscular and intimidating, Jane had a delicate, gentle beauty that stirred his protective instincts.
He had grown up surrounded by Asgardian women—strong, fierce, and battle-hardened. Seeing someone soft and fragile for the first time was refreshing.
Jane noticed Thor staring at her and blushed slightly.
"Hmm, not bad," Thor said, nodding in approval. "Waiter! Bring me another meal, just like the last one!"
Darcy glanced between Thor and Jane, a knowing smile creeping onto her lips, 'Oh yeah, my best friend has definitely fallen for this guy...'
Just then, the bar doors swung open, and a group of men walked in, looking frustrated.
"Damn it! We just found the meteorite crater, and then we got kicked out!"
"Yeah, those Umbrella guys were way too aggressive. They didn't even let us take a look."
"What else could we do? They had guns..."
"Waiter, get us something to eat."
Hearing their conversation, Jane, Darcy, and Eric immediately turned to listen more closely.
Eric grabbed his drink and walked over, "You mentioned a meteorite?"
The newcomers looked at him in confusion. Erik quickly gestured for the waiter to bring over some drinks for them.
Seeing the drinks, the men finally smiled.
"Yeah, this morning, we found a meteorite crater on the hillside. But then a bunch of Umbrella guys showed up—at least ten helicopters!"
"Their choppers even had shipping containers hanging underneath. Definitely up to no good."
"They forced us out and completely sealed off the area."
"Where exactly is the crater?" Eric asked.
"About forty kilometers west of here."
Having gathered the information they needed, Erik quickly returned to their table.
"Let's go."
Jane and Darcy nodded immediately, standing up to leave. As they turned to go, Jane glanced at Thor, who was still eating, and sighed.
"Come with us."
Thor looked longingly at his food one last time before reluctantly standing up to follow her.
However, as soon as they stepped out onto the street, they saw their car being driven away by someone else.
They all froze in disbelief.
'Did...someone just steal our car?'
Turning toward their rental house, they saw a group of men in black suits going through their belongings.
Alarmed, they rushed over.
"What the hell are you doing? Are you stealing—no, robbing us?!"
"If you don't stop, we're calling the police!"
A man named Wade was overseeing the operation. Seeing them approach, he turned and smirked.
"We're investigating a security threat. Please cooperate. And if you don't cooperate, I won't hesitate to run a blade straight through you from below and turn you into a human kebab."
Ever since the Blacklight virus experiments were deemed successful, Wade had started thinking he was invincible—until reality smacked him down hard.
After that, he settled down and was assigned by Adam as the leader of the security squad, handling less critical missions.

Right now, his job was to retrieve any documents related to last night's meteor event.
But just because he followed orders didn't mean he'd stopped being a sarcastic, mouthy bastard. In fact, he was even more obnoxious and unhinged than before.
Hearing his threats, Jane, Darcy, and Eric immediately fell silent.
Wade had already unsheathed his katana, and the other security team members had raised their rifles.
There was no doubt—if they made a wrong move, they'd be riddled with bullets.
Still, they quickly recognized who these people were. The unmistakable red-and-white umbrella logo on their sleeves made it obvious.
"The Umbrella Corporation... You corporate thugs!" Furious, Darcy pulled out her phone, aiming to record the incident.
Wade casually snatched it from her hand.
"Phones need to be checked too."
His men stepped forward, taking the phones from Jane and Eric as well.
"This is theft!"
"You bastards!"
When the security team reached for Thor, intending to search his pockets, Thor finally lost his patience.
He shoved them back with ease, sending them stumbling.
