Marvel: The Villain-Chapter 234 Trouble
The pristine, clean floor was defiled by Banner's blood and brain matter.
Everyone in the laboratory stared wide-eyed at Banner's headless corpse.
"No, Bruce!"
Betty lay prone on the floor, her head pinned firmly down by security, rendering her immobile. Two clear streams of tears flowed from her eyes, her expression one of agony and despair.
"Shut her up!"
Jason was irritated by the unpleasant sound of her crying.
"Yes, sir!"
The security guard immediately pulled out a few stinking socks, balled them up, and stuffed them into Betty's mouth.
After waiting a while, Banner still showed no movement.
Jason breathed a sigh of relief inwardly, but at the same time, felt a sense of unreality.
Was the ceiling of combat power for the early Marvel universe really dealt with this easily?
Iron Man, who was significantly weaker than him, was still jumping around alive and kicking, even wittily starting to actively avoid him to prevent direct conflict. Yet Hulk, the absolute beast who was supposed to have massive screen time in the future, had bowed out this early?
Since when did plot armor stop working?
Just as Jason was wondering, Banner's corpse began to change.
The severed cross-section of his neck became rapidly active. Starting from the neck, Banner's missing brain began to regenerate. The bright red blood turned green rapidly, like ink dripping into clear water.
What the hell?
Regeneration from a drop of blood?
Jason's eyes were filled with confusion and shock. He quickly raised his fist, wrapped in pale blue energy, and smashed it down hard onto the newly growing head.
Bang!
A dull thud echoed, but the sensation from his fist was different this time.
Smashing Banner's head last time was like punching tofu, but this time it felt like hitting a steel plate.
Banner's head took the punch unscathed and proliferated rapidly, gradually forming a silhouette.
Jason unclenched his fist, his face ashen.
It seemed Dr. Sterns' serum could only suppress the transformation, not kill Hulk completely.
"Harley, David, John!"
"Understood!"
The three stood at their respective positions, superpowers ready to fire.
Those researchers, who usually loved studying bizarre phenomena, ran out of the lab like cowards seeing a real threat when they saw this scene. Only Dr. Sterns remained on site.
Failing to kill Hulk was his responsibility, and he was even crazier than the other researchers, more obsessed with the unknown.
Seeing a dead corpse regrow—this scene completely shattered the knowledge structure he had studied for so many years.
If he couldn't see the end with his own eyes, it would be as frustrating and depressing as the power going out in a cinema right before the movie's climax.
"Dr. Sterns, stop staring."
Jason shoved him, pushing him out of his ocean of knowledge.
"Go prepare the suppression serum immediately. I have a feeling this transformation is unusual."
"Right, I understand!"
Dr. Sterns reluctantly walked to the experiment table, rushing to concoct the suppression serum.
Tens of seconds later, Banner's head had fully grown back. At the same time, the muscles and bones throughout his body began to expand.
The transformation had begun!
"No time! Stall him now!"
At Jason's command, his three accomplices immediately activated their superpowers.
Infrasound, Freezing, Spatial Confinement.
With triple control applied simultaneously, Banner's transformation stopped immediately.
At this moment, Harley's expression changed, and she shouted, "Honey, you were right, it's really different this time."
A sound of creaking and groaning filled the air; her spatial confinement was about to be shattered.
"Hold on a little longer!"
Jason turned back anxiously to urge, "Dr. Sterns, are you done yet?!"
"Almost, almost, just wait a second!"
Crack! Crack!
John's freezing energy gave way first. Cracks appeared in the surrounding ice, and the frozen green blood began to thaw.
"Argh!!!"
John furrowed his brow, pushing his superpower to the limit; the equipment next to him even stopped working due to the ultra-low temperature.
Bang!
A few seconds later, the ice and spatial confinement shattered simultaneously. Banner's body burst out like a fat guy ripping out of tight clothes, that mass of flesh popping out instantly.
"Sterns!!!"
"Almost there, almost there, ten more seconds!"
The serum needed ten more seconds, but Hulk's transformation was already complete!
ROAR!
Hulk reappeared, his scarlet eyes roaring at Jason, as if mocking his overconfidence.
This transformation was indeed unusual. Not only did he break Harley and John's dual control, but even David's infrasound had lost its effect on him.
"Hmph, beast!"
Jason looked at him with contempt. Energy radiated from his body, and that longsword which terrified Banner appeared in his hand again.
Seeing this longsword, Hulk recalled memories he'd rather forget, instantly becoming bristling with rage like a frightened cat.
He raised his casserole-sized fist and smashed it toward Jason, wanting to flatten him to vent his anger.
"Your speed has indeed gone up a level, but it's still not enough in front of me."
Jason shifted his feet, sideways dodging the attack.
The longsword danced, slashing over a dozen times in the blink of an eye.
Rip!
Dozens of fine cuts instantly appeared on Hulk's body, and green blood slowly oozed from the wounds.
ROAR!
His confident attack was easily dodged, and he was counter-attacked; Hulk's anger rose another level.
He clenched both fists, turned, and began a barrage of strikes against Jason.
The massive fists swung rapidly, creating countless afterimages.
Unfortunately, Jason's agility far exceeded his.
Even if Hulk had surpassed his limits, Jason strolled through the afterimages, dodging every strike with precision.
"Sir, the serum is ready!" Dr. Sterns shouted, sweating profusely, handing over a glass vial with trembling hands.
Seeing that dark blue liquid, Hulk frowned; the experience of being forcibly 'evicted' earlier was evidently still fresh in his mind.
To avoid repeating the past, he immediately stopped attacking and charged at Dr. Sterns with increased speed.
Although Jason was faster than him, his attack power was too weak—once Hulk started running, no one could stop him.
"Shit! Save me!" Dr. Sterns' expression twisted in terror.
ROAR!
Hulk roared, raising his fist to smash this hateful human into a meat patty.
Boom!
The heavy fist smashed down, instantly flattening the lab equipment, but the target, Dr. Sterns, was gone.
Hulk turned his head furiously, only to see the man appearing ten meters away, with a woman standing beside him.
"Harley, nice work!"
Jason took the suppression serum from the still-shaken Dr. Sterns.
Pop!
With a slight squeeze, the glass vial was crushed to dust.
A streak of blue energy wrapped around the serum and infused it into the blade of the longsword.
"You guys stand back a bit. I'll handle this beast." Jason waved the longsword, speaking with confidence.
"Okay, be careful," Harley leaned in and kissed Jason on the cheek, then quickly moved everyone out.
Jason held the sword in one hand, walking forward slowly.
"Alright. Now it's just the two of us." 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
ROAR!
Hulk grinned ferociously, clearly not planning to surrender without a fight.
"Good boy! Don't throw a tantrum! Sick kids need their shots to get better!"
Jason walked over like an evil doctor in a hospital, holding a giant 'syringe'.
Hulk looked around in panic, trying to find a way out of this desperate situation.
Suddenly, he saw biological instruments piled in the corner.
His not-so-bright brain sparked an idea. He reached out and grabbed two instruments, wielding them left and right like boxing gloves.
He straightened his arms, the huge instruments blocking the entire path in front of him, and Hulk powered his legs to charge forward.
He wanted to use this method to force a breakthrough!
Hmph, his IQ went from three years old to four.
Jason tapped his feet lightly, his body moving upward with agility, appearing on the ceiling.
Banner's thrust hit nothing but air, and he exposed his back. Now, all Jason had to do was...
ROAR!!!
Suddenly, interrupting his breakthrough halfway, Hulk stomped the ground, his massive body flying into the air at incredible speed.
That ugly face revealed a smug expression, and then he swung a fist violently.
A look of surprise appeared in Jason's eyes.
Impressive. Not just strength, but intelligence was growing too.
However...
He lightly stepped on the ceiling, and energy surged, shooting him away instantly.
Rumble!
Hulk punched through the wall panel, but Jason had dodged the attack and landed lightly on the ground.
This time, Hulk was frozen in mid-air, unable to leverage any force. Facing Jason's attack from behind, he could no longer dodge.
"It's over!"
Jason roared!
The moment he landed, his toes tapped the ground and he sprang up quickly, gripping the longsword tightly and thrusting it toward Hulk's anus.
Rip!
The familiar sound rang out.
The longsword was completely buried in Hulk's body.
ROAR!!!
Hulk screamed in despair!
And just then, the structure of the sword blade changed.
The bottom of the hilt became like a syringe, pushing the suppression serum stored in the blade out.
Anal injection!
Complete!
Bang!
Hulk fell from the sky, smashing heavily onto the ground.
His expression was twisted, his face full of anger and reluctance, like a drowning man desperately trying to grab a straw.
But unfortunately, his saving straw did not exist.
No matter how much reluctance or unwillingness he felt, he couldn't change the reality of the suppression serum destroying the Gamma cells.
He could only swap his body back to Banner, ending this round of the contest. The massive body deflated like a punctured balloon, rapidly shrinking to the size of a normal human.
Banner was back.
The successive blows left Banner's body incredibly weak; this time, he even fainted.
Jason walked up slowly and squatted down to examine him closely.
The face was still the same face, no changes there, but the skin compared to before was worlds apart.
Acne scars, blackheads, large pores—all these skin problems had vanished.
Aside from not being handsome, this face was almost flawless.
If skincare brands saw this, they would surely offer a sky-high contract for Banner to endorse their products.
"Your head gets smashed and still grows back... are you a damn Hydra sleeper agent?"
Looking at Banner, who had practically changed his entire face, Jason spoke speechlessly.
"Regeneration from a drop of blood, getting stronger with every setback..."
"I've picked up a huge fucking trouble."
