Marvel: My Sign-in System-Chapter 287: C278
Chapter 287 - C278
Using righteous scolding to drive away a bunch of brats who didn't know anything—today belonged to Leon and Natasha.
When Leon entered his spacious room, the bright lights cast a warm glow, filling the space with a sense of hope. The walls, illuminated but not glaring, made the atmosphere feel cozy rather than overwhelming.
On the rooftop terrace of the room, Natasha sat in a cradle chair, a glass table in front of her. Beyond, the lawn and forest stretched into the darkness, the sounds of horses and birds echoing in the distance.
Leon approached, holding a bottle of red wine and two goblets. He poured a glass for Natasha and handed it to her.
"Cheers~~" Leon clinked his glass gently against Natasha's, her smile blooming like a peach blossom.
Ding!
The crisp sound of glass meeting glass resonated in the night.
Early morning.
In the luxurious, spacious manor room, the aftermath of the night was evident. The large bed was a little messy, Natasha leaning half-side against Leon's bare chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. A white, wrinkled sheet covered her delicate figure, but her long, slender legs remained exposed, a vision of elegance and allure.
A faint blush still colored her face, her eyes glistening.
Sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, filtering past the curtains and casting a warm glow over them. Leon lay back, one arm around Natasha and the other resting behind his head.
For a while, neither spoke, simply savoring the tranquility of the moment.
Then, Natasha pressed a soft kiss to Leon's chest and murmured, "Are you really going to send us to Hell?"
She didn't believe for a second that Leon's words last night had been just an excuse to brush off those people. He had mentioned this plan before, but she hadn't expected it to happen so soon.
Leon gazed at the ceiling, his voice soft. "You're different from Wanda. She was born with Chaos Magic. The more she learns, the stronger she becomes. Her power will only continue to grow and reinforce itself."
"But you can't rely on that. The genetic serum in your body still has untapped potential. I believe you must have felt it in your brief fight against Surtur. The stronger your opponent, the higher the stakes—the more intense the battle, the more you'll be forced to evolve."
"In other words, like Thor, you're a combat genius. We train you intensively to push your limits, but real growth comes from fighting over and over again. As long as I keep protecting you, your potential will remain restricted."
Natasha gently bit his chest, acknowledging his reasoning.
"In addition," Leon continued, "I need you to go to the border of Hell, Limbo, at the right time. Not just to grow stronger, but to accomplish something else."
He didn't hide anything from her.
"Limbo?" Natasha frowned slightly. "I've never heard of it."
"Limbo is a pocket dimension connected to Hell. It's filled with magical energy and home to many powerful beings. It's a unique place. I want you to explore it, grow stronger, and eventually find a way to seize control of this dimension."
Leon's eyes darkened with thought.
After all, something this valuable should remain within his grasp. He didn't need to rule Limbo himself, but there was no reason to let others take advantage of it.
Natasha narrowed her eyes, her expression unreadable. Then, she smirked slightly and looked at Leon's profile. "Is that really all?"
Leon chuckled. "As expected of Natasha." He lowered his head, capturing her lips in a slow, deep kiss. Then, as if seeing into another distant dimension through the ceiling, he murmured:
"Don't you think it's strange? Hell is making its move, yet there's one place that remains completely silent."
Natasha's eyebrow arched slightly, the subtle movement adding to her undeniable charm. Though phrased as a question, her tone was certain. "Heaven."
Leon nodded. "Heaven has always stood opposite Hell. But despite all this recent activity, we've heard nothing from them. Those self-righteous beings who pretend to be noble but actually only care about profit, status, and power... they haven't reacted at all."
"That in itself is unnatural."
"So, you plan to use our journey to Hell to test Heaven's response?"
Natasha finally understood his true intention.
Leon's gaze darkened. "Too much about Heaven remains unknown. When I confronted Mephisto in Hell, he hinted at some things about Heaven. But that demon is as cunning as they come—I wouldn't believe half of what he says."
When he had beaten Mephisto into submission, the demon lord had let slip some interesting tidbits about Heaven. But Leon wasn't naive enough to take his word as truth.
He had no admiration for Heaven, but he wasn't reckless either. Even if he had fought Mephisto and won, he knew better than to assume Hell was weak.
Hell was vast—far larger than most people realized. It was divided into countless territories, each ruled by a different demon lord. Mephisto might claim the title of Satan, but that didn't mean he truly ruled all of Hell. There were many demons who had no fear of him.
Take Lucifer, for example. That monster wasn't just Mephisto's equal—he might even be stronger. Mephisto wouldn't dare provoke Lucifer lightly, let alone try to take his domain.
And if Hell was this chaotic, what of Heaven? A realm supposedly above even Hell in power?
This was why Leon remained cautious.
Arrogance was the first step toward downfall. If he intended to challenge Heaven, to seize control of it, he needed to be fully prepared.
And yet... Heaven was still so quiet.
Perhaps it was due to the Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One. But even so, for not a single agent of Heaven to show up?
That wasn't normal.
And Leon never ignored abnormality.
