Martial Arts Worlds-Chapter 845: Arch Reapers
Rumble~ Rumble~ Rumble~
"One of the Elite Reapers just got his head punched off!"
Junior Reapers cried out in shock, and the souls that were with them never imagined seeing them like this.
It was obvious fear.
"Y-You’ll pay for what you did to Brother Reaper!"
Elite Reapers screamed, and with their white robes fluttering against the wind, they wrapped Kiernan up with their chain hooks.
"Human Flex."
Kiernan whispered and just flexed his muscles a little bit, and the chains shattered into pieces.
The eyes of the Elite Reapers bulged, and they screamed, "How is he this strong?!" as they saw their cosmic weapon—the chain hook—get destroyed!
With their status as Elite Reapers, they have also received the enhanced version of the chain hooks, and they were crafted in the hearts of the cosmic void.
Yet.
This human possessed a strength that defied all logic.
Kiernan’s fist came as fast and furiously as a bolt of lightning, striking the Reapers with a force that left them stunned and bewildered.
With each punch, another Elite Reaper died.
"Argh!"
At that moment, one of the Elite Reapers lunged suicidally towards Kiernan.
Kiernan’s hand snaked out and grabbed the Elite Reaper from his throat. He squeezed. The neck cracked.
"Ugh..."
The Elite Reaper’s eyes lost their light, and then, the rest of the Elite Reapers attacked Kiernan at the same time.
"You’re an abomination! Evil soul! The Great Robber! We won’t allow you to defeat us!"
They screamed.
With a smile, Kiernan used the Elite Reaper’s corpse as a weapon and smashed him through the crowd of attackers.
It didn’t take long for the Elite Reaper corpse weapon to become completely bloodied and mangled.
"Tch."
Kiernan tossed the mangled corpse away and returned back to his fists and punched through the crowd of attackers.
"Ahhhh!"
The bodies of the Elite Reapers got crushed to pieces with their limbs flailing in all directions.
"A-ah..."
And then, only one remained, and he tried running away, but Kiernan grabbed him and ripped his body in half.
"Ripper!"
Kiernan breathed heavily—and his flesh had turned slightly red—he calmed down his breathing and tried to relax.
The Uncontrollable Demons inside him were trying to break free, as they hadn’t felt this much bloodlust from Kiernan since his reincarnation.
’It’s been a while since I’ve killed so many... It’s getting dangerous... My former self is slowly returning to light...
’Not yet... I don’t need you just yet... I’ll handle the Reapers... You’ll handle the rest... and please, save my daughter.’
Kiernan talked to himself in a strange manner.
"YOU!"
The sudden scream sent Kiernan flying back to the ground, and he crashed through the ground.
It was a powerful shout. It reached every corner of the afterlife. And every soul and Reaper knew whose shout that was.
"What the hell...?"
Kiernan climbed out of the hole, scratching his hair, and he looked towards the sky with a nonchalant gaze.
There were over a thousand flying demons circling overhead, and alongside them, there were a couple of pitch-black robed figures.
"The new stage, I assume?"
Kiernan chuckled.
"..."
The pitch-black robed figures didn’t look amused. Their eyes were round as if they were held open by toothpicks.
And their eyes looked deep. As if they had seen horrors beyond comprehension.
"Rejoice, scummy little human... Arch Reapers have come... Personally to capture you... An impressive achievement for a weak human."
The head of the demons said.
Arch Reapers were commanders of regions, timelines, and even some realms. They oversaw the army of Hell’s Demons, and they were the enforcers of the cosmic law.
They didn’t spend their time in the afterlife but instead out there, in the land of the cosmic, battling threats.
However.
They got the call from Death, who told them to personally come to apprehend this human, which was new even for them.
They had never had to do something like this because humans had never warranted that level of attention from the cosmic beings before.
"...I know of you."
One of the Arch Reapers said.
They had also known about the human who went by the name of Kiernan Hunter.
"Haah... Huff... Haah... Huff..."
Kiernan started walking, but then slowly he skipped into a jog, and soon he was sprinting as fast as he could.
Crack!
He stomped the ground.
His body leaned close to the ground, his knees lowering, and then, his leg muscles propelled him upward with incredible power!
Kiernan jumped straight towards the army of demons and the Arch Reapers!
"IRON SMASH!"
Kiernan screamed. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
The Arch Reaper’s eyes started glowing with blinding light, and they attacked Kiernan with some kind of cosmic ray.
Kiernan crashed straight back to the ground while the cosmic ray engulfed him and obliterated everything around him.
"Aaaaargh!"
Kiernan screamed as his body went through an excruciating attack.
"That human got hit by the cosmic ray delivered by six Arch Reapers. There is no way he will survive this."
The demons were sure of it.
In that moment, Kiernan stood back up while the cosmic ray tried pushing him back down, but he wasn’t going to fall.
Kiernan stabbed his fingers through the ground.
"Worldlift..."
With a grin, he lifted the ground. A boulder the size of a mountain. And he was carrying it with only the strength of his fingers.
"?!"
The demons wondered what he was going to do.
"GAIA’S EMBRACE!"
With a scream, he hurled the mountain-sized boulder at them, and the Arch Reapers shot their cosmic rays at the incoming boulder.
The cosmic rays disintegrated the mountain-sized boulder like it was nothing.
"Haha... What was the point of that attack? A mere earthy ground can’t handle the power of the cosmic rays."
"What a moron!"
The demons laughed.
However.
When the dust settled, they saw that Kiernan was nowhere to be seen, as if he had completely disappeared.
He used the mountain-sized boulder as a decoy to disappear.
"He ran off while the Arch Reapers were dealing with that boulder?"
The demons wondered.
"Nope~"
In that moment, they heard a voice behind them, and they turned around to see Kiernan smiling behind them.
They were about to scream—all thousand of them—but then Kiernan sliced his fingers through them, silencing them forever.
"King Lion Scratch!"
The demons got shredded into pieces, and the army—which every soul feared—got crushed in a matter of seconds.
The Arch Reapers even looked shocked and wanted to stop him before every demon was dead, but he killed all of them in just a second.
All thousand of them. Immediately.
The dead demons fell from the ground and splattered against the ground—splat, splat, splat—as if they were pancakes falling down from a pan onto the kitchen floor.
’Want me to take over now? Hehe... I’ll kill all of them in just a second... And then we’ll go kill Death... Kekeke...’
Kiernan thought to himself, but then he shook his head and thought again.
’Not yet... I’ll handle these ones without a problem... I’ll leave only Death to you...’
He thought.
"YOUR TERROR ENDS HERE!"
The Arch Reapers screamed, and with their voices echoing far and wide, they again launched their cosmic ray attacks.
Any human. Monster. Or a soul getting hit by those cosmic rays would be disintegrated till there was nothing left of it.
Not a single speck of dust, even.
They attacked Kiernan from point-blank range.
"..."
The Arch Reapers frowned as they didn’t hear a scream or anything like that, and they weren’t even sure that they hit anything.
At that moment.
Kiernan suddenly appeared behind one of the Arch Reapers, grabbed the back of his head and chin, and then snapped his neck.
"Stygian Strain!"
With a stunned look, the Arch Reaper slowly fell from the sky, and he didn’t even realize that he was dead.
The rest of the Arch Reapers looked shocked—and took one second too long to react—Kiernan immediately followed up with his attack.
"Death Lance!"
His hand pierced through one of the Arch Reapers before they could even blink, killing yet another.
"Cosmic Ra—"
Before the third Arch Reaper could unleash another one of his attacks, Kiernan pushed his hand through his chest and pulled his heart out of his body.
"Heart Tug!"
The three Death techniques of the Iron Style completely overwhelmed the Arch Reapers, and they were in a complete state of shock!
"...What the hell are you?"
One of the Arch Reapers asked in shock.
It finally dawned on him why Death sent us here, as when they did at first, they thought that it was a waste of time.
It was just one human. They believed that the Elite Reapers could easily handle him. But to think that they were also dying now.
"You can blame Death for this!"
Kiernan chopped his hand through the Arch Reaper. His hand was sharper than a sword. And yet another Arch Reaper died.
The last remaining Arch Reapers tried fighting back, and unleashed their cosmic rays, but Kiernan just punched straight through.
The fist smashed through the cosmic rays and then smashed through their faces, cracking their skulls like eggs.
