Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 132: Good terms
"OLIVIA?!" Leo exclaims as he rushes towards the edge of the roof.
When he got there, Gabriel was already on the ground below, lifeless with bones broken to awkward directions, his eyes open as he bled. But fortunately, Olivia had grabbed the protruding part of the roof.
"Olivia..."
"Leo," Olivia cried, as she tried as much as possible to hold onto the protruding edge.
"I can’t hold on too long!" she added.
"Give me your hand," Leo instructed and Olivia was about to give him her hand, but it felt like she was going to fall, so she held the edge again.
"I can’t, I can’t. I’m going to fall," she cried on.
"You won’t fall, trust me Olivia. Don’t look down, give me your hand and trust me," Leo pleaded, then Zane as well, got to the edge of the roof, where Leo and Olivia were.
"Give me your other hand Olivia. Trust us, we got you," he assured and so, Olivia gave them her hands one after another and they successfully pulled her up.
Leo immediately pulled her to himself, getting her into a hug. She hugged him back, her grasp on him tightened, she was so scared just now.
"You’re alright, you’re okay... you are safe now," Leo assured and comforted her.
Few minutes later, vehicles surrounded the manor as Zane had made some phone calls, with Leo’s permission of course.
The vehicles were of the police, the ambulance and Leo’s parents and sister had also arrived at the scene.
Leo, Zane and Olivia were already off the roof and at the ground below.
"No..." Helen voiced when she saw her son’s lifeless body on the ground. She just couldn’t look anymore, she turned around towards Mr. Yul and hugged him as she cried.
Mr. Yul’s eyes went to Leo’s and Leo gazed back. Then Mr. Yul nodded and Leo returned the nod.
Zane and Leo soon explained all that had happened, to everyone. Colleen’s hands turned into balls of fists, while Helen cried on.
No matter how quiet as possible they wanted to keep Gabriel’s death, words soon spread across Asteria, especially after his wake and funeral.
...The night after Gabriel died...
Olivia and Leo returned to the villa.
"Are you calm now?" Leo asked her. She had freshened up and drank some water.
She nodded.
"Should I massage your feet for you? I heard massaging the feet helps pregnant women to relax," Leo told.
"No, I’m good," Olivia smiled at him. She was on a chair and he knelt in front of her.
His head was soon buried in her shoulders as he sobbed. This was the second time she was witnessing him cry.
"I’m sorry, I’m so sorry you had to go through all that," he told.
What? She thought he was crying because his brother had died, but he was crying because of her?
"I thought I would lose you today, you and our child," Leo acknowledged the baby as he rubbed on her stomach, which belly’s bump was slowly becoming more prominent day by day.
It made her smile.
"But you didn’t," she uttered.
"Yes, and I’m grateful to the universe for that," he replied.
"Leo... I’m sorry about Gabriel," she said.
"(Sighs) It’s... okay. It wasn’t your fault," he replied. He then stood up and walked towards one of the drawers in the room.
"What happened today, has taught me that life is too short, too short to keep hating, to keep being envious, to keep resenting, to keep feeling guilty and sorry and not reaching out.
"We don’t know what would happen in the next second," he then brought out her torn jotter from the drawer and started to walk back towards her.
She was more than surprised. She was touched.
"You... you still kept that?" she managed to say.
"Hmm hmm. And Olivia, once more... I’m sorry. Let’s start all over. I’m Leonard Yul and...I would love to finish this list with you," he told.
She felt tears at the brink of her eyes, she nodded.
"Yes, I would love that. I’m Olivia Shipman by the way," she replied.
"Nice to meet you," he kissed the back of her palm.
Silvia and Sentencia both paid Olivia a visit as soon as they heard the news.
Olivia narrated everything that had occurred, from the beginning when Gabriel had first brought the idea of bringing Leo down to her.
"He is also responsible for Davian’s kidnap, I had him admit to that too in the voice recording," Olivia added.
"I know that. Olivia...are you sure you are okay?" Silvia inquired one more time.
"Yes," she smiled.
"I mean look at her, she looks okay," Sentencia chimed in.
"Something seems fishy here," Sentencia added.
"What? Nothing is fishy, it’s just...Leo and I are now in good terms. Really good terms," Olivia responded.
"Explain really good terms?" Silvia smirked naughtily.
"Nothing," Olivia giggled.
"I sense something in the air," Cia declared and the ladies shared a laugh.
Silvia cupped Olivia’s cheek, "All Cia and I want for you is complete happiness. Always remember that,"
"And we will support your happiness, wherever you find it," Cia added.
"Thanks girls," Olivia appreciated.
"All these encouragement should be going to Silvia. I mean, you just found out that Leah was responsible for the tragic event that had occurred. Davian lost his mom and you both almost lost your lives," Olivia continued.
"Nothing to give me encouragement there, that woman is currently in custody. She will be going to jail soon, she will pay for her crimes," Silvia responded.
"I see." Olivia replied and Cia just nodded.

"Is there really no way?!" Leah found herself yelling at her lawyer.
"They have solid evidence against you, Ms. Leah. There really is no way out of this," the lawyer responded.
"I can’t go to jail," Leah hit on the table, making her lawyer, who is a woman by the way, to flinch.
Then she settled down, "I can’t go to jail," she repeated.
"They have your health test results Ms. Leah. I don’t know who gave them the permission to take it but it seems you are suffering from mental disorder and so the court must surely send you a mental facility then a rehab before sending you to jail-"
"Now they think I’m crazy! I DON’T WANT TO GO TO ANY OF THOSE PLACES!" Leah screamed.
"Take it easy Ms. Leah. You are not helping your situation," the lawyer responded.
"Do you know how long that will take?! Mental facility then rehab then jail! You have to do something!" Leah continued.
"But again, you are a terrible lawyer. You couldn’t even get me bail out of custody. GET OUT OF MY SIGHTS!" Leah added.
"You don’t understand the severity of your case, Ms. Leah. But then again, you can try pleading with the Randells to drop all charges against you and pardon you," the lawyer suggested.
"..."
But Leah didn’t see Davian nor Silvia till the day of the hearing and they didn’t give her a chance to plead with them. Well, not until the day of her main trial.
"Davian..." she stood before them, she had just been brought in handcuffs and the trial was yet to began.
"Please, pardon me this one. I didn’t mean to do it, I never meant for what had happened to your mother to happen. I never wanted her or you dead, I would never hurt you both.
"You know how much I love you both. Please Davian, forgive me and drop all charges. I promise to change my ways," Leah pleaded.
"No matter how you try to justify yourself, you did try to harm Silvia and that’s a crime itself," Davian responded.
"I did it out of love. I just wanted Silvia out of the picture, I love you Davian. I really do and I know you love me too but all it would take to make you realize that again was if Silvia was out of the picture and that’s why I did it, Davian. I’m sorry, please have mercy on me this last time," Leah continued to plead.
Silvia just glared at her without a word, if this Leah was truly sorry, she should be directing some of her apologies to her as she was her initial target, but she didn’t.
Davian gazed down at her for a while without uttering a word.
"Your actions caused me my mom’s life and for that, I’m sorry Leah. But you are going to jail," Davian finally responded and dashed passed her, Silvia soon joined him after giving Leah one last glance.
The trial soon began.
After several hours of advocating by both lawyers of the parties, the chief judge finally decided to pass his verdict.
"Well, according to Ms. Leah Rockwell’s health test results, it was clearly true that Ms. Leah Rockwell is mentally unstable and due to the evidences presented for the main case, I hereby find Ms. Leah Rockwell, guilty of the crimes, attempted murder and unintentional murder-"
"No, no! THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING," Leah interrupted the judge.
"By the power vested in me by this honorable court, I hereby sentence Ms. Leah Rockwell to ten years imprisonment which she will serve after some time in both the mental facility and rehab as some addicting substance was found in her system.
"Then due to her condition, after her time at the mental facility and rehab and also, after serving her jail term, she will also observe a one year period of house arrest and another one year period of probation," the judge concluded and hit on the circle portion of his desk with his hammer, to dismissed the trial.
"No! NO!" Leah uttered under her breath as some police officers came towards her to apprehend her.
This can’t be happening, she lost the hearing and this too!
Her eyes went to Davian who didn’t spare her a glance, ’No Davian... don’t do this to me..." 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
