Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 206: Memories of friendship 1
********************************************
On a dreary snowy day, young Cyrus, who appeared to be about ten years old, stood in front of a completely frozen lake. His blue slit eyes were dull and filled with unfathomable coldness, his full black long hair the length of his feet swayed in the wind, as did the black cloak that swallowed him whole, and he just stood there staring at the frozen lake without saying anything. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
"Are you going to just stand there?" A younger Ashton, who looked about eighteen years old but was truthfully very much older, was seated on one of the branches behind Cyrus, casting a nonchalant gaze at the cold ice dragon.
"Yes."
"You wiped out all the Soldans without my permission an hour ago, and instead of apologizing, you came here to stare at a frozen lake?" Ashton inquired, scowling in disbelief.
"Why should I be sorry? I didn’t murder Charlotte, Sergio, and their children, did I?" Cyrus inquired flatly.
"You’re so arrogant." Ashton tsked and jumped off the tree, landing next to Cyrus, who was staring at him.
"You act as if they don’t deserve anything worse than death. I simply put them out of their misery." Cyrus spoke as if it were the most natural thing to say for someone his age, then turned away from Ashton, who shook his head in disappointment.
"Let’s hurry back before Aurora notices and leaves the mansion." Ashton said, pulling Cyrus’ ear hard and frowning, seeing Cyrus look unaffected but knowing he was feeling the pain of the hard pull. "When in hell will you return to your normal state? I have never seen him before, and it would be an honor to meet him." He said it through his teeth, pulling harder on Cyrus’ ear.
Cyrus did not respond, and Ashton released his ear.
"You are not going to see him anytime soon." Cyrus said flatly, rubbed his ear, and turned away.
Cyrus began walking away from Ashton, towards the frozen forest. "This child." He shook his head and mumbled. "That hair should be cut." He added as he put his hands in his pockets and began following Cyrus.
They returned to the castle in no time, which surrounded by guards, all wearing stern expressions.
Sergio and Charlotte were kneeling in front of the throne when Cyrus entered the throne room.
"Why are there peasants here?" Cyrus asked, clearly unconcerned, despite knowing why they were there.
He approached the throne and sat on it, one leg on top of the other.
"You annihilated them all!" Sergio was the first to scream, while Charlotte appeared to be crying her eyes out because her makeup had been horribly ruined by all of her crying.
"So?" Cyrus asked, tilting his head to the side and looking at his palm, which began to glow with sapphire sparkles.
"You are a beast!" Sergio yelled once more.
"Sergio Soldan," Cyrus hissed darkly, his blue slit eyes narrowing fiercely at the man who appeared enraged but froze in fear of the heartless child seated on the throne.
He lowered his head in fear. "Please accept my apologies, your Majesty." He was forced to apologize.
Cyrus’ mouth twitched. "What brings you here?" He inquired, chewing his lower lip.
"There is nothing!" Charlotte screamed.
They had learned that their entire family had been massacred by their one and only king, and they wanted to scream at him, but it had all backfired. They couldn’t even speak properly because the child was so frightening.
It had been two years since he died and became trapped in his dark state, in which he had an eternally frozen heart and only experienced strong negative emotions.
"Then get out!" Cyrus raised his voice, and they stood up, bowed their heads at him, and ran out of the throne room, shaking.
Ares and Venus, who had silvery fur and beastly ice blue eyes, entered the throne room and approached Cyrus, who smiled at them and watched as they sat by the sides of his throne.
"Where has Snow gone?" Cyrus inquired directly.
At the same time, Ashton entered the throne room, looking agitated. "Firerian dragons have been spotted," he reported.
"Intriguing; is it an attack?" Cyrus inquired, a sly grin on his face.
"It’s a chase on the outskirts of the city." Cyrus nodded slowly as Ashton responded.
"All right," Cyrus exhaled, stood up, and vanished from sight.
Ashton shook his head and looked over at the sleeping panthers. His eyes widened as he observed them being engulfed by a bright glow, and when the glow faded, they were completely black.
During that time, the Firerian dragons had begun to attack Antica gradually, underestimating Cyrus because he was known as the child who rules a broken kingdom.
They were never victorious in any of their attacks because Cyrus was always able to defeat them.
...
Four massive dragons could be seen in the sky on the outskirts of the city, in an isolated vast space devoid of trees. Three of the dragons were chasing a fourth dragon with a younger River who looked at least ten years old and was covered in bruises and blood, and in his arms was an unconscious girl who looked like the female version of him who was also covered in bruises and blood.
River appeared disturbed as he noticed the dragons chasing them getting closer.
"Hurry!" River screamed at the dragon, who he was riding.
The dragons from behind all exhaled raging fire at the dragon River was riding. The dragon was instantly affected and let out a pained roar while titling his body.
River screamed in terror, clutching the girl tightly as they fell off the dragon’s back. Their landing from the sky to the ground was going to be brutal.
While they were still falling to their deaths, he hugged the girl tightly and closed his tear-filled eyes. "I am sorry, Ophelia, I failed to protect you." He muttered.
River waited and waited for a long time, but they hadn’t fallen. His eyes flew open in confusion as he realized they were already close to the ground but floating above a white-haired boy with glowing ice blue eyes who had his hand outstretched towards them.
"Hello," Cyrus said, smirking and tilting his head to the side.
