"Can I be released," Zayn curtly questioned his friend who gave a glance at each other for some time before they finally decided to release him, once he was released, Ezekiel was also released.

Zayn walked towards him and then he held him on the collar.

His friends once again were about to interfere but with one glance from Zayn which showed that he wasn’t thinking of hitting him, they retracted.

Zayn tightly held him on his collar seeing Ezekiel’s dirty gaze and his sight which looked like he was on the verge of dying.

"You were with her, why did you let her go?" How else was he supposed to know that she was going to be gone?

He didn’t intend to attend the event in the first place but he had to because he wanted to make a good impression in front of Phoebe’s mother even though he had a lot of insecurities about the situation and here he was going to face the consequences of what he had done.

"She told me not to interfere with the both of you but you, I’ve always known that you were someone who couldn’t be trusted, I knew that I couldn’t trust her with you, " he stated in pain as his friends wondered who he was talking about, from what they knew, the only woman or she that Zayn must be talking about desperately and in that tone must be Leah but the girl was with her mother, so who was he talking about?

"Common, tell me where last did you see her?"

Wait a minute, the friends reasoned once again, Zayn and Ezekiel, why were they trying to guess about the she he was speaking about when the answer was right in front of their faces?

How the hell will the two famous men know each other closely to the fact they were fighting because of this when they had no one other than someone who must have connected them together?

And the person must definitely be someone who was close to Ezekiel and had attended the event.

But the person that had attended the event with him was...

Oh my, at first they didn’t want to believe it, a look of shock on their faces as they looked at the men who looked like they came back from fighting Star Wars.

So they were talking about PHOEBE MARVEL LANE.

"Zayn," one of the friends interfered before another event could open up, they didn’t want the others to start suspecting for the reason why they were in their position after all there might be a reason why Zayn was doing this in the first place and the reason why he didn’t tell them.

But the question was who was he? Phoebe’s lover or the ex-lover?

"I think what’s best at the moment is if one of you looks for this girl you’re talking about instead of staying here, you came here to retaliate with Zayn but have you tried calling her?" His friend argued as Ezekiel turned to him with an arrogant gaze.

" I would have done that a long time ago, why else would I come towards him, I’m not that foolish that I would just come towards him, she left her phone in her bag, and that’s why I’m here, " hearing what Ezekiel stated, he had a worried face, where could Phoebe be? 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

The last time he could remember she came from the toilet and when they argued, he was also angry he didn’t bother to check on her when she left.

He had the urge to inform them that he might be the last person that she saw but he had to think again, if he was going to say it then there was going to be a question of where she was heading to and probably he was going to end up telling his friends about the relationship he has with Phoebe.

Besides, after what had happened he was sure that they were going to have a lot of questions.

Without any other thoughts, he walked away from the place leaving Ezekiel astounded by his action, Ezekiel followed Zayn who matched to the hall event.

Ezekiel was curious as a frown settled on his face, what was he going to do by going to that place, when he followed Zayn to where he was heading, he saw Zayn move to the row where his family was seated and then he took a little girl after a few minutes of talking to the woman who was beside her.

Zayn pulled her out of the hall and then when they were out, he walked her towards the toilet.

"So do you remember what we’ve agreed on?" Zayn questioned Leah who thought Phoebe had finally made what she promised her come to pass and now that her uncle was caught with another girl, he was trying to make amends for his mistake by using her.

She felt she was so smart.

Oh my, she knew that her uncle must be feeling bad about his action but she wanted her uncle to get punished somehow so the best thing was advising Phoebe to make her uncle be punished just a little while more after all that was what he deserved for flirting with another woman.

She pouted with a nod and then she was on her way to the place, as Zayn watched her go he hopefully prayed she was going to be there.

It was not like she was a missing tool but then he couldn’t explain his emotions, he wondered why he was feeling really worried about the matter.

Ezekiel came in with a short race turning to him and seeing where his gaze was at.

"Did you really think that she was going to be in the toilet?" Ezekiel stated rudely but Zayn maturely ignored him.

Ezekiel was about to deal with him to remind him who was older than who, just because he was a few centimeters taller than him didn’t mean he was going to behave arrogantly with him.

He was about to touch Zayn on the collar when Leah came out of the toilet.

"Uncle Zayn, she isn’t here," Zayn knew that there must be something that was going on.

He turned to Ezekiel.

"When she was going what did she tell you?"

"Why else would I come here to this place when this was the place she said she was going to, the same place just as where you’re looking, you came to the toilet, and just as she left she was heading here."

" Did she come back after some moments, " to hell if not because of the little girl that was in front of them then he was going to punch Zayn.

To hell he was going to, Zayn was getting on his nerves and here he is behaving like a detective.

How did Phoebe tolerate this boy?

" No, " he stated with a lot of self-control.

From there Zayn knew that she must have not returned then which meant that when they were in an argument, she didn’t move back to the hall.

Did she go outside to get her mind calm?

He took Leah hauling her from the ground and in a race, he was out from where he was to the hall he made sure to place Leah back to where he took her from.

" Uncle, what’s happening? " Leah questioned a bit shaken by the words she heard moments ago.

There was no way she was going to lose Phoebe, she must be alright, right?

Zayn placed a smile on his face and then he pattered her head.

"There’s nothing wrong, we’re just looking for her, that’s all."

"Okay then," she stated with a small smile.

"Don’t worry, don’t you trust your uncle, you know that I’m not the type to let you down, and when it comes to Phoebe, I’m not going to let her down too, I’m there for the both of you, okay?"

"Pinky promise?" Zayn nodded raising his hand, he crossed his pinky finger with her.

Zayn got out of her place after some moments, he asked the guards to search for Phoebe without interrupting the event and not making his mother suspicious of his movements, well that was after making sure that Brooklyn had the job done.

Once he had the information from the guards that they hadn’t seen Phoebe around, he came out of the event center, looking around, his sight scattered.

Where could she be?

Ezekiel also came out of the hall but just coming down the stairs as his phone had a notification and then he took it out from his pocket.

His eyes had a suspicious gaze as he read the message.

"It’s done," he read the message making sure not to alert Zayn of his doings, and then he placed his phone back into his pocket after deleting the message.

"So what are you going to do? Common, I know that there is something that you’re hiding from me, so, tell me what are you hiding from me?" Ezekiel purposefully retaliated as Zayn bit his lip inwardly hearing his irritating voice and enduring his action.
