Manaless Mage-Chapter 225: Harry Vs Trent[4]
Chapter 225: Harry Vs Trent[4] freewёbnoνel.com
Trent’s eyes widened in shock, and he quickly tried moving away in order to escape the lightning ball.
However, his legs remained glued to the ground, no matter how much he tried.
’What?!’ He thought, instinctively shifting his gaze to his legs, only to find them trapped to the group with a thick brown lump of earth.
’Shit!’ Before he could even channel his mana, the lightning ball struck his chest with immense force, consuming him in a powerful explosion of lightning.
"Argh!!" Trent shouted in pain, his body spasming from the electric shocks coursing through his body.
The water ’gauntlets’ around his arms and legs only worsened his situation. Since water was a good conductor of electricity, the lightning excitedly coursed through them, digging deeper into his flesh.
The electric shocks painfully electrocuted his body, causing him to scream even louder in agony.
After a few seconds, the explosion finally died down, leaving only a few sparks of blue electricity which kept flickering in the air.
Szzz!
"D-damn... it..." Trent mumbled, smoke rising up from his lips.
His body was badly charred from the blast, with mist slowly rising up from his skin.
His hair, which had blackened from the explosion, stood up like spikes.
His ’blessing’ was still active, however the water stream flowing around his chest had greatly reduced.
Swoosh!
As if that wasn’t enough, another gust of wind suddenly blew beside him, causing his eyes to widen in shock.
Before he could even react, Harry reappeared beside him, sending a powerful punch towards his chest.
Thwack!
"Kukh!" Trent grunted in pain, blood spraying from his mouth.
His back arched backwards, and the force behind the punch sent him flying almost immediately.
Bam!
Bam!
His body bounced a few times on the ground, before finally sliding to a halt.
"Argh..." Trent let out a light groan, clutching his chest in agony.
His chest felt like it was on fire, and the bruises he sustained from bouncing on the hard ground stung with pain.
Slosh!
The water stream flowing around his arms and legs suddenly started fluctuating, with some parts of it rapidly dissolving into tiny blue particles.
’What... is this?’ Trent mumbled, his brows furrowing into a deep frown. ’My mana... I didn’t expect it to drop this fast.’
’I can’t keep it up... my elemental blessing.’ He thought, gnashing his teeth in self disappointment.
What was even the point of it all... even when the blessing was active, he still couldn’t stand against Harry. Talk less of now, when more than half of his mana had already been consumed.
’Am I really going to lose... to him...?’ He mumbled inwardly, clenching his fists tightly, to the point where his nails dug into his palms.
As he pondered in his thoughts, a familiar voice suddenly echoed in his mind.
’You will... if you keep rejecting me.’ A sweet yet annoying whisper reverberated within his head, adding fuel upon the fire.
’If you fully accept my help, you’ll be able to win. Not just against him... but against anyone you want.’
’You already ’tasted’ my power, you know you need my help. Stop being so stubborn.’ The voice spoke again, its tone turning a little harsher.
’Just shut up already. I need your help...? Your power...? Just to win a fight...?’ Trent thought, gnashing his teeth in frustration. ’I already said I would do this without your help!’
"Healing bubbles!" He shouted, veins bulging around his forehead.
Slosh!!
Numerous water bubbles rapidly appeared around him, immediately latching unto his arms and legs.
After a few seconds, the wounds around his body speedily started healing, and the charred marks around his body started clearing.
In mere seconds, all the injuries on his body completely healed, with his skin regaining its normal complexion.
Except from the burnt marks on his clothes, the rest of his body was completely healed.
Meanwhile, Harry remained standing on the other side of the stage, with his gaze locked on Trent.
’I can sense it again... that weird vibe around him.’ He thought, his eyes narrowing slightly.
The reason he hadn’t been attacking Trent persistently, wasn’t because he was underestimating him or anything of the sort.
He was simply observing, to notice anything out of the ordinary.
Ever since the fight began, he had been sensing an ominous air around Trent.
The Elementalist’s sudden spike in mana, his weird agitation, none of it made any sense to him.
He didn’t really understand it, and it might just be him being paranoid, however, something about it made him feel wary.
Suddenly, Trent’s mana spiked up again, causing Harry’s brows to furrow slightly.
"Don’t look down on me... I’ll win." Trent muttered, his mana bursting violently out of his body.
"Water Blessing!!" He shouted, veins bulging all over his head.
Slosh!!
A powerful water stream swiftly materialized all around his body, flowing towards his arms and legs.
Splosh!!
Within a few seconds, the water condensed over his body, flowing around his arms and legs like a gauntlet.
However, unlike the last time he activated his blessing, the flow of the water was a lot more erratic, with a few droplets splashing down from his body.
’I can only keep up my water blessing for a few minutes at most... during that short time, I’ll unleash my most powerful attack! And beat him!’ He thought, panting out heavily.
"I don’t really understand how ’that’ works, but I doubt using it would do you any good." Harry said, his brows furrowing into a slight frown.
"Just... shut up!" Trent shouted, the water stream gathering around his hand with greater intensity.
"Spikes downpour!!" He shouted, swiftly raising his hands upwards.
Splash!
Water immediately shot out from his palm, rapidly gathering above him.
Slosh!!
The water stream swirled violently in the air for a few seconds, swiftly merging into numerous sharp spikes of water.
Swishh!!
Almost immediately, the water spikes shot towards Harry, rapidly descending down upon him.
A strange glint flashed through Harry’s eyes as he watched the barrage of water spikes raining down from the air, and his lips slowly curled into a slight smirk.
’This same old trick... you really think you can overwhelm me huh...?’ He thought, stretching his hand towards the incoming attack. ’I’ll just melt them all down!’
