The sound of fireworks resounded in the skies of Sky city as the most anticipated event in the entire region was drawing nearer.

Unlike eldoria where everything happened in an instant, sky city took several days to prepare fighters for the battle event and share the jolly times.

To them, this festival was more than just an imported culture, it was something that was engraved in their very beings, children looked forward to the festival because of the gifts and food, and adults because of the sportsmanship of battle.

Right now there were already special betting booths all around the city’s fighting arenas collecting bets from the denizens who had come to watch.

"Hm? This much for a nobody?" Behind on the booths, a females attendant raised her eye brow in confusion at a bet slip infront of her.

Twenty thousand sky gold coins had been placed as bets on two individuals—

The blizzard Sword and Saint Firestone

The thing about these two was that apart from them looking like friends, there was really nothing else known about them. Most of sky cites denizens were known to spend their savings bets during the sky festival so this wasn’t out of place.

But still, on a nobody?

"Hehe, I don’t know just place the bets" two bald monks in leather jackets said unprepared to argue, they weren’t the ones placing the bets after all.

"Whatever, 40k sky gold coins for contestant 25 and 26 to survive the royal rumble placed, let me have your celestial cards" noticing the annoyance in the eyes of the two men infront of her, she hurriedly took their celestial cards and proceeded the payment…..

Unknown to her, this same thing was happening all over the arena, several individuals were currently placing exhorbitant bets on two unknown participants in the arena….and all these bets were placed by one person.

"Beat them up!!" A young man with white hair covered in fan paint shouted waving a flag in the air with two females on it.

"So embarrassing " beside him, a bald monk seated next to him on the bleachers buried his face in his hand and sighed.

This guy was always so serious, what was this all about? Blending in? He couldn’t understand it. Wouldn’t it be better to just stay low key?

"This guy" the two females who were so clearly depicted on the flag just felt this feeling of awkwardness at the scene as most people glanced at them because of Leon’s reaction.

He was putting them in the spot light.

"Who are they?"

"The arena is not a place for women"

"Why do they look so awkward?"

The audience wondered what kind of situation could make a grown man act in such a manner? Were these two related to him or he was just a fan?

"Forget about those nobodies, look over there, it’s Wind Chaser Valrian, if anyone’s going to survive this Royal rumble without taking a hit it’s him"

The source of this c𝐨ntent is freёnovelkiss.com.

"Yeah, I heard he can go 0 to 60 in about 0.5 seconds"

"Sure, but apart from running away, what else is he good at?" Beside them another group added.

"We are here to see a fight not a race, the best fighter here is gold fistlight Kirk, he will win"

Several individuals of exceptional fighting prowess were mentioned amongst the crowd as they supported their favorites to survive the battle, and maybe even the entire thing.

Soon enough though, the time for talking passed as a horn blew from no particular direction.

Fight

Immediately, everyone on the stage below sprang into action.

The rules of the battle Royal were simple, who ever fell out of bounds would fall out of the competition as such everyone was a threat.

A flash of blue light followed by the annoying sound of a bee resounded in the arena as a young man with a smile build dashed around the platform at high speeds.

This would be the easiest of the stages of the festival competition for him. You couldn’t push out of bounds what you can see or touch right ? His speed was just too phenomenal for ordinary people.

"Let’s have some fun" Valrian smiled evilly as he dashed around the arena.

Even though he could just keep on his feet all throughout and just not get eliminated, he still thought it entertaining to pull some unsuspecting participants down.

So as he zipped around, he subtly made moves, either tripping someone over at a crucial moment or pushing them in the line of a sword swing to end their lives.

He was truly ruthless.

But even with all of this, he still managed to stay far away from those who were truly powerful as even he knew not to mess with known great mages despite being one himself.

Yes, not everyone on the stage was a great mage, some were merely at the peak of level 3 or even lower. All this was done to compensate for those from outside the city.

For example, there were a few that came directly from kingdoms like eldoria here. The sky festival over there was but a pliminary competition.

That was only the beginning of the real thing and here was where the real thing happened.

Naturally, to cut the effect of the large power gap between peak level 3 existences and great warlocks there were a few rules place, for example, no flight, no Area useage and most of all, no usage of elemental embodiment.

"Let me take care of them, I could use the practice" Ember stepped forward with two jewel embedded daggers and said to Arian

She was a well trained assassin of the faceless mercenary company and an elite talent, but in terms of fighting, she was severely lacking when compared to the likes of Leon and Arian.

So every so often she would engage in battles to sharpen her sword to futher help them reduce the load.

"Sure, just don’t lose control please" Arian saw this and nodded hesitantly. Whenever Ember spoke of practice, she always seemed to end up putting to many people to sleep.

"Sure, I’ll be careful" Ember smiled throwing one dagger into the air and smiling evilly.
