Several dozen figures descended from Griffin’s Peak at astounding speeds. Their bodies constantly under the pressure of the mountain, and their descent seemed to increase with each passing second.
But they weren’t shaken even in the slightest , focusing entirely on the goal ahead. As they dived, the Royal Roc apparitions descended right in front of them, their massive bodies releasing a special luster of brilliance and majesty.
The challenge was as follows:
The Rocs would exit the crack from Griffin’s Peak and fly down to the grounds of the dry lands. Then they would swoop back up into the air, immediately turning and heading westward toward the Yi Mountain Range.
This mountain range was massive and completely controlled by the Golden Griffin Clan. Once they arrived, the Rocs would merge with the mountain, forming various glowing stones of different sizes called
**Royal Providence**.
Once in the hands of a warlock, this treasure would immediately be consumed, likely pushing that warlock to new realms of existence. So, the first thing to do was not follow the Rocs but get to Yi Mountain first.
"Are you ready?" Kang called out to those falling by his side. They all nodded in unison before pulling out several scrolls from their various robes
**—Wang**
As they opened the scrolls, a force field of energy surrounded their bodies, protecting them from the influence of Griffin Peak’s formation. It was the same scroll given to Leon by Elder Black Wing.
Black Wing was the clan’s leading formation master and had the privilege of controlling the formation around Griffin’s Peak. He created these scrolls to negate the effects of the mountain temporarily.
Naturally, this went against the will of the Sky Sovereigns, but what could they do? Being a Sovereign didn’t mean they could control formations. In this respect, Black Wing had free rein.
But he wasn’t the only one with ways to negate or reduce the effects of Griffin’s Peak. To their left, Cious Vrian pulled out a massive shield and placed it in front of him, with Kai Loxin and the other talents of the Unique Claw Clan hanging on his back.
The shield emitted a primal energy similar to that of the Rocs in front of them. It was undoubtedly a clan treasure.
Scenes like this began happening all around as they plummeted toward the ground.
Of course, it didn’t matter how well they had prepared; their treasures and schemes would never be as useful as innate abilities.
At the front of the group, falling at incredible speeds, the talents of the Golden Griffin Clan released their strong, feathery wings from within their armor, streamlining their bodies and allowing them to move even faster.
In an instant, the distance between them and the others increased slowly but surely leaving the others behind. This forced the other clan talents to push themselves harder.
**—Screekkkkkk**
At the base of Griffin’s Peak, several encampments had been set up by the myriad clans, housing the escorts who were not allowed on the peak. This included the likes of the Supreme Leader’s personal guard and those who had failed to climb the mountain.
"Hm? What’s that sound?" a young lady asked, looking up at Griffin’s Peak in confusion. The loud screech had erupted out of nowhere. It sounded like an eagle’s call, but what kind of eagle could make such a loud and obnoxious sound?
The entire camp looked up in one way or another, trying to determine what was happening.
That was when—
**—Woooooo**
A mighty gust of wind blew down from above, parting the clouds as the figure of a gigantic creature came into view. One of its wings spanned several hundred meters, and as it tried to halt its descent, the wind blew half the tents away.
It wasn’t alone though, as soon, several other Rocs thrust themselves upward with their wings before flying westward toward Yi Mountain.
"What was that?" Hearts pounding, the people who had been blown away looked at the flying Rocs with fear and shock. The people above had been too busy preparing, so they couldn’t communicate what was happening before it unfolded.
**—Whoosh**
**—Whoosh**
**—Whoosh**
**—Whoosh**
It wasn’t until they saw the disciples of the myriad factions chasing after the Royal Rocs that they began to understand something had happened atop Griffin’s Peak.
"Let’s go," a woman with white hair said to her counterpart from a distance away from the camp. They were currently beside a carriage.
"Hm," the Second Lady covered her colorful hair and boarded the carriage, riding forward in no particular direction.
The stage was set. Now, all that remained was for *him* to do his job.
---
**Meanwhile:**
"Rengoku! With me!" Kang’s voice was urgent as they flew through the dry lands at sonic speeds.
Getting off Griffin’s Peak had been the first step, which had claimed the lives of those who hadn’t prepared. Those who had used their sites to halt the fall had been splattered on the ground, instantly reduced to minced meat.
Now, what remained was to overtake the Rocs.
That was easier said than done.

Rays of purple light shot down from above, instantly taking the life of one of the Golden Griffin Clan’s talents. The Royal Griffin showed no favorites; if you tried to go ahead of them, they wouldn’t hesitate for a second to kill.
"Okay!!" Rengoku nodded before flying forward toward Kang.
He, Kang, the kid with blond hair, and the head disciple of the Bone Serpent Clan were presumably the strongest members of their alliance.
Even if the others couldn’t make it past the Rocs, they had to. He would take the lead.
"Beast Actualization: Divine Blood Serpent," Kang called,
and from above, a giant serpent, nearly the size of the Rocs, appeared midair. Crackling with divine lightning, it emitted an energy most of them had never witnessed.
It was truly a monstrous and intimidating beast, radiating a supreme aura that sent shivers down the spine of anyone who saw it.
He called it Divine Might.
