Magnate Tycoon: How Did Simply Enjoying Life Make Me a Male God?-Chapter 84 Part-Time
Chapter 84: Chapter 84 Part-Time
Inside the car, two silhouettes were entwined together.
But it wasn’t long before An Tong regained her composure and stopped the advancing Li Jing.
Her face was flushed, eyes shimmering, and she shyly lowered her head, "Don’t do this, I’m not ready... at least, not here."
It was clear the other had compromised to the limit. Li Jing looked at An Tong’s blushing face and couldn’t help pinching it before standing up and saying with a smile, "Alright, I’m actually a very polite person, respecting the personal wishes of lady friends."
Seeing him put on a serious face, An Tong rolled her eyes and slowly sat up from the backseat: "You’re polite, are you? Not sure who suddenly..."
Li Jing saw she stopped mid-sentence and couldn’t help but grin, "Suddenly what? Why not finish?"
An Tong, with her face turning even redder, couldn’t help biting her lip and lightly pinching Li Jing’s arm as she softly said, "Pervert."
Li Jing, hearing this, laughed even more happily, then reached out towards her, which made An Tong’s expression change slightly. But then he seriously helped her button up her top one by one.
"You can’t leave it open, or it’ll be revealing."
"Isn’t it because of you..."
An Tong muttered with a red face, got up, adjusted her clothes again, and then turned to tidy up the gifts scattered on the seats.
"Look at what you did, the gifts I just arranged are all spread out, luckily they weren’t crushed."
An Tong carefully rearranged all the gift boxes and then said to Li Jing, "Alright, send the stuff back first."
"Sure."
Li Jing nodded, got in the driver’s seat, and made a call to his parents.
The call was as caring and chatty as usual, except this time Li Jing’s tone and mood were noticeably improved, which his mother caught on to.
"Son, work hard and don’t worry too much about home. Don’t buy too many things; we are coming over in a few days. Most importantly, take care of your health."
"Alright, when you arrive, I’ll show you around the big city so you can enjoy yourselves."
"Okay, okay, it’s the thought that counts. Your father and I combined are over a hundred years old, what’s there to enjoy, we’re just happy to see you healthy and happy..."
Hanging up the phone, Li Jing saw An Tong looking at him and couldn’t help saying, "What’s up, why are you looking at me like that?"
An Tong tilted her head with a smile, "Nothing, just thinking that when you talk with your family, I feel like we’re closest."
Hearing this, Li Jing raised his eyebrows and chuckled, "I haven’t actually changed at all; it’s mainly about how you see it."
Upon hearing this, An Tong’s eyes changed slightly, then she turned to look at the scenery outside the window, softly saying, "Yes, it does seem I’ve changed more..."
As she spoke, her eyelashes slightly trembled; she hesitated for a moment, seemingly recalling what happened in the parking lot earlier, and then said, "Li Jing, in your heart, what exactly is our relationship?"
Driving swiftly on the city road, Li Jing’s previously relaxed expression slightly tensed, waiting a few seconds before responding, "Friends."
"Friends, huh..."
An Tong’s eyes darkened for a moment, then she smiled, "That’s good, I thought in your heart I was just an ordinary friend. A friend... should be a level higher than a regular friend, right?"
Li Jing glanced at An Tong’s expression in the rearview mirror and nodded, "Of course, in Celestial Sea City, I don’t have many friends, just a few."
"Since we’re friends..."
An Tong turned her head to look at Li Jing’s profile, asking, "Why did you do that to me just now?"
"That..."
Li Jing was momentarily at a loss for words but soon responded, "To be honest, I couldn’t hold back. You’re wonderful and very beautiful."
"Is it because I’m wonderful, or because I’m beautiful?" An Tong seemed particularly concerned about this, her eyes fixed on Li Jing’s face.
"The appearance is just the foundation; what attracts me more is your character and personality."
"Is that so..."
It’s unclear if she was satisfied with the answer; An Tong withdrew her gaze and looked back out the car window.
Li Jing glanced at An Tong’s expressionless face in the rearview mirror and wanted to say something but ultimately chose to remain silent.
A woman like An Tong needs to figure things out on her own; trying to persuade her with words might have the opposite effect.
After sending the gifts back to his hometown at the courier station, Li Jing drove to the rental community, passing by a relatively secluded old road.
Suddenly, An Tong spoke softly, "Pull over."
"Stop the car?"
Li Jing was startled, but seeing her serious look, he pulled over and asked in confusion, "What’s wrong?"
An Tong didn’t answer him, her face flushed, eyes evasive, and she whispered, "In the parking lot, you seemed hard. I heard from Xinxin that if a man... doesn’t take care of it when he’s hard, it’s bad for his health. I... I’ll help you with my hand."
Li Jing’s eyes widened slightly, hardly able to believe these words came from An Tong’s mouth.
Seeing Li Jing not responding, An Tong, who had mustered all her courage, immediately turned away, red-faced. "Forget it, forget it, if you don’t want it, it’s fine. I just thought rejecting you halfway might be bad for your health..."
"Ah, yes, it’s indeed bad for the body!"
Li Jing immediately frowned, "I was very uncomfortable just now, really sorry to admit it. Now I feel even worse, ouch, it hurts..."
"Hurt? Where does it hurt?"
An Tong’s expression changed slightly, clearly inexperienced and a bit flustered, "What should I do? Tell me."
"Okay, listen to me. First, extend your hand, and then..."
...
They returned to the rental community in Li Jing’s Maserati.
Li Jing looked relaxed in the driver’s seat, while An Tong consistently kept her flushed face turned towards the window, her emotions not quite settled.
This was her first time crossing the line since that kiss before.
She understood that from this point on, it would be very difficult for her and Li Jing to return to being just regular friends.
She wasn’t sure if this choice was right or wrong; it was merely due to Li Jing’s sudden move in the parking lot that she was compelled to act impulsively.
Li Jing noticed An Tong continually tugging at the hem of her skirt, aware of her inner turmoil and complexity at this moment.
He knew An Tong was different from Zhang Xinxin.
Zhang Xinxin wouldn’t worry about the future, whereas An Tong’s goal had always been to find someone local with a decent background to marry and settle down in Celestial Sea City.
So, until she met a person meeting her objective, she believed her body and feelings shouldn’t be given lightly; maintaining simple emotional experiences and a clean body was one of her few advantages in the competition with other women.
Seeing An Tong’s somewhat lost yet slightly disappointed look, Li Jing got out of the car with her and entered the building. While waiting for the elevator, he asked, "Have you ever thought about why you want to settle in Celestial Sea City?"
Surprised he suddenly brought this up, An Tong nonetheless answered, "Of course, I have. It’s prosperous here, beautiful here, more people to interact with, and more information to receive."
With that, An Tong slightly raised her head, looking at the sunlight filtering through the hallway, continuing, "Only here can I truly feel the changes in ordinary people’s lives brought by economic development."
"While in my hometown, I can only experience this prosperity through television and the internet."
"So, your goal of staying in Celestial Sea City is due to its prosperity, not necessarily in line with marrying a local, right?"
Hearing Li Jing’s analysis, An Tong was momentarily dazed, then shook her head, "Staying in Celestial Sea City is the goal, and marrying a local is the most achievable way to reach the goal with my ability. The two cannot be discussed separately."
Reaching An Tong’s floor, as she opened the door to her home, Li Jing paused, then said, "What if there’s another way to achieve your goal?"
Upon hearing this, An Tong stopped in her tracks, turned back to look at him in surprise, with a hint of guesswork in her heart but still somewhat unclear, "What way?"
"The most important thing to stay in Celestial Sea City is to have a stable and well-paying job.
With that, you can save up to buy a home, shop, and support yourself, even without relying on marrying a local."
Hearing what he was getting at, An Tong self-deprecatingly shook her head, "If I were the kind of talent big companies needed and could find a high-paying job, perhaps I could. But my current monthly salary is just eight thousand, how could I do what you say?"
Li Jing looked calmly into her dim eyes and spoke sincerely:
"I’m a lazy person who always needs help handling things. So, I need a life assistant, with a monthly salary of fifty thousand, to manage various things for me.
Of course, you can still work in your current company, as I don’t need you by my side all the time, just when there’s something to be done.
This is a mutual choice; you can quit anytime, and I can dismiss you if unsatisfied.
What do you think of this part-time job?"
