"Alright, it was that black-robed Mage who helped me recover my memory, but there are still many things I can't recall." Lynch held a glass of red wine in his hand, smiling as he conversed with Wislin and Morgan. The nobles and generals participating in the meeting cast astonished glances, while the lord of Haisas, though disliking any mages, dared not show any sign of discontent.

"So, I should thank that black robe." Morgan wiped the wine foam from beside his beard with his sleeve, and in his usual loud voice said, "I'm so glad you've returned to normal! Shouldn't we drink to that?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Wislin took the large goblet from the dwarf's hand, saying, "Now is not the time for drinking! You need to keep a clear head to enter the venue!"

"Bah! What's the need for that! Now that our Lynch is back, he can blow a puff, and the Snake-men have to roll out of here!" Morgan laughed heartily. "I reckon even that big serpent is no match for you."

"Yes, I certainly have that ability," Lynch nodded. "But that is not my goal."

"Why?" the dwarf asked, puzzled.

"If I were to eliminate the Snake-men, the entire Mage Association would become an excessively powerful force on the continent. Even if outwardly glorious, it would create even more fear among ordinary people, distancing them further from the Association. Furthermore, if I accomplish what the northern Knights of Pate ought to do, what about the temple and those sacrificed warriors?" Lynch answered, "Besides, I'm no butcher."

At that moment, servants opened the large doors of the meeting room, respectfully inviting them to take their seats. The vast transparent dome covering this circular venue allowed in brilliant sunlight, yet the room's temperature remained unaffected. The tables and chairs were crafted by the finest dwarven artisans, and the elf clan's crystal goblets were filled with sweet thirst-quenching beverages, quietly awaiting to be tasted.

As the representative of the Mage Association, Lynch stepped into the venue. It was also the first time in years that the seat reserved for the Mage Association wasn't left empty. Many wanted to come closer to greet this "famous" figure, yet an invisible gentle force lightly pushed them away, preventing them from approaching the mage.

The elf clan's representative bowed in greeting to Lynch and relayed the Empress Hernfurry's regards. Lynch expressed that he would go to the Elf Kingdom after the war ends to aid its residents in recovering from the war's trauma with his own power.

Upon hearing this, the elves were very pleased, yet many nobles of Haisas whispered among themselves, "End the war? Such bold words!"

"Brave Pastan, glorious Pastan—from the north, knights call you such?" Before the meeting started, the Duke of Yi'en Kingdom spoke first, ahead of the host, "Let me ask, why would such a brave man like you abandon the vital Five Realms Fortress! Better to strip off our armor and expose our chests to the Snake-men's bayonets!"

"Rest assured, friends of Yi'en, if that day truly comes, my chest will be the first for the giant serpent to pierce." Since his name was mentioned, the Half-Elf General stood up. He first bowed to the whole room, then said, "We have not abandoned the Five Realms Fortress, but given up on a dead end where we would have been trapped there. Rest assured, the great Light God has not forsaken us, nor will we abandon hope or cease fighting!"

"Your resolve is commendable, but what countermeasures do you have regarding the recent advancement of the Snake-men?" said the Platinum City Lord, Ista. "Everybody already knows that our druid friends have brought unfortunate news. The giant serpent has gathered an army of hundreds of thousands, targeting our capital! In the north, they've bypassed the Five Realms Mountain from underground, attacking several towns! With each battle, the number of Snake-men hasn't diminished but has grown instead."

"The Snake-men are using evil magic to transform living beings into Snake-men soldiers," the elf clan's representative said gloomily. "They also used similar methods to imprison living people within steel bodies, turning them into demon statues for war. Our homeland has been hurt by such wicked magic."

"Regarding this," Ista turned to Lynch, inquiring, "what countermeasures does the Mage Association have?"

The room immediately fell silent, all eyes focusing on the young mage.
