Lustful Demon King: Summoned by the Demon Goddesses!-Chapter 117: The Heroes Reaction!
Kingdom of Lumeria – Royal Capital, Solaria
Far beyond demon territory, beneath skies perpetually washed in holy gold, the Kingdom of Lumeria reeled. The News of what was going on in the Demon Kingdom had finally arrived, and people saw it as a sign of imminent catastrophe if not dealt with.
Divine messengers had descended in screaming light ready to reveal what they learned. Oracle mirrors cracked under the pressure of trying to investigate what was going on with Jax and the Demon Kingdom, and the Heavens themselves seemed quite uneasy.
Within the Grand Cathedral of Solaria, a structure of white marble and radiant crystal that rivaled mountains in height, emergency bells rang without pause.
The Heroes had been summoned, having finished their impromptu training excursion, that had massively improved their strength at the cost of their now inability to return to their Home world of Earth, all with the goal of defeating the Demon King and stopping him from sending the world to ruin, at least from their propaganda influenced perspective.
Killian stood at the center of the council chamber, his golden armor gleaming under divine chandeliers. The holy blade at his side hummed restlessly, reacting to the unrest spreading through the world and eager to slice through demon flesh.
Around him stood the rest of the party, Alexi, Touka, Alicia, Lizzy, each summoned from their own assignments. Each one with a more sturdy, powerful aura from before, but also all carrying a growing sense of dread.
One of the High Priests of the Holy Church, named Aurelios was standing before them with a very pale face, sweat beading at his temples despite the sanctified air.
"It is confirmed," the priest said hoarsely, "According to our informants, The Demon King has indeed built a Capital within the Demon Kingdom, and it is quite advanced as well,"
A murmur rippled through the chamber.
"A city, is that what he did while we were training?" Killian scoffed, though his jaw was tight. He had imagined that while he was away, the Demon King would spend all his time attacking the various Kingdoms or even preparing for the inevitable battle between them, not building a City.
"So what’s so special about this city?" Lizzy asked.
"It’s more of a stronghold than a City. According to our information, this place is much, much bigger than any City in our Kingdom, or in any of the primary Kingdoms across the world. It is a capital designed to house tens, perhaps hundreds, of millions. Self-sustaining. Militarized. Layered with spatial and mana formations beyond even our current comprehension and resources,"
Alexi’s eyes widened, "That’s... impossible. Even divine blessings—"
"Are being overridden," the priest interrupted grimly, "Our scrying spells cannot penetrate its inner districts. The Demon King’s authority has altered local reality."
Silence fell. Then Lizzy stepped forward, eyes blazing with fervor, "Where is Natasha? Do we have any more information on what happened to her? She’s been captured for quite a while now,"
The priest swallowed.
"She was revealed publicly."
The words hit like a hammer.
"She was chained," Aurelios continued, forcing himself onward. "Displayed before all of Demonkind. She was alive, but definitely marked by the Demon King’s authority. We’re worried he’ll use his power to corrupt her,"
Touka’s hand slammed into the table. "That bastard."
Alicia’s face went white. "They... they paraded her?"
"Yes," Aurelios said. "And worse."
He gestured, and a projection flared into existence above the council tabl, —fragmented divine recordings stitched together at great cost.
The Heroes watched.
They saw the impossible city, black-and-crimson towers spiraling outward like a living organism. They heard Jax’s voice, calm and absolute, declaring freedom and war in the same breath. They saw Natasha dragged forward in chains—and worse still—
They saw her look up at the Demon King. But with something disturbingly close to familiarity. Lizzy screamed in unmatched anger.
"That’s fake," she shrieked. "He’s controlling her! He’s corrupted her mind!"
Alexi said nothing, but her hands trembled.
Killian watched the projection in silence, his golden eyes burning brighter with every passing second. When Jax’s words, And she is mine, echoed through the chamber, Killian’s grip tightened until cracks spread through the stone beneath his feet.
The projection ended.
Silence followed.
Then Killian spoke.
"We will kill him."
Every head snapped toward him.
"He’s mocking us," Killian continued, voice low and shaking with fury. "He built that city knowing we’d see it. He chained Natasha knowing it would enrage us."
"He wants us to come," Touka said slowly.
"Good," Killian snarled. "We’ll oblige."
High Priest Aurelios hesitated. "Hero... this is no longer a simple purge. The Demon King has unified them. An assault on that Capital, "
"We don’t need to assault the capital immediately, we just need to make the first move to take down the Demon King and his Kingdom,"
"This will be a great war, and it’ll start now,"
Lizzy fell to her knees, clutching her staff. "Please... we have to save her. Goddess Kayle wouldn’t allow—"
The chamber darkened. Light bent inward. A divine presence descended.
Golden radiance poured from the ceiling as a colossal figure of light manifested behind the throne, wings vast, eyes blazing like suns.
Kayle, Goddess of Light.
Her expression was no longer serene.
"Natasha has failed," Kayle said, her voice reverberating through stone and soul alike, "But she has not been lost."
The Heroes straightened instantly.
"The Demon King’s city is a blasphemy," Kayle continued. "A challenge not merely to Lumeria, but to divine order itself."
Her gaze hardened.
"You will march."
Holy banners unfurled across the chamber walls as visions filled the air—armies assembling, knights blessed en masse, siege engines inscribed with divine scripture, angelic hosts descending from the upper heavens.
"You will strike the Demon Kingdom," Kayle commanded, "and eventually, You will tear down Aeternum Noctis stone by stone."
Killian dropped to one knee, grinning savagely. "I’ll bring you his head."
"And Natasha?" Alexi asked quietly.
Kayle’s eyes flicked toward her.
"If she resists extraction," the goddess said coldly, "she will be cleansed."
Something twisted in Alexi’s chest. But no one spoke against it. The war drums of Lumeria began to sound that very hour, echoing across holy lands and human kingdoms alike. Armies mobilized and portals opened. Faith burned hotter than reason.
Far away, seated upon the Throne of Dominion, Jax could sense the shift, and was eager to get this war underway.
