"Thank you" the Dwarf spoke as Sylve stepped away from him.

Even he could tell she had burnt through her Mana for that. Healing yourself and healing someone else was different, and this wasn't even a normal wound because his bones were shattered; it was regeneration.

"We're going to be here a while, do any of you know where the Hydra crystal is?" Xavier asked.

The three of them shook their heads; they had only seen a Hydra in books and not in real life, and even if they had, they certainly didn't fight it.

[Frost Reflection]

Xavier created a clone as he still had some Mana to spare; he was going to hack through the Hydra's body till he finds the crystal; last time with the Queen ant, he didn't have the time to find it, but this time, he wasn't going to stop till he did.

The Hydra was most likely on par with a dragon, and with its ice ability, its crystal would contain a large amount of Mana in it.

Xavier was still at stage 5, and he had no idea the amount of Mana he would need to absorb to reach the next stage; Xavier chuckled as something crossed his mind: Mirabel was at stage 8, which meant her Mana was going to be greater than his by a margin.

"Are you going to find the crystal?" Sylve asked as Xavier brought out his cursed sword from his inventory.

"Yes, I'm going to hack at till I find the crystal" Xavier replied as he walked away.

"Hope you didn't forget our agreement," Sylve spoke, and Xavier turned around.

"Ohh, I didn't forget, so don't worry," Xavier spoke; he didn't expect Sylve to be the one reminding him that she wanted to have sex.

Since this was floor seven, the next floor was going to be harder than this; Xavier couldn't really think of something that could be harder to kill than a Seven-headed Hydra, but the god of death was going to find something.

If he survives floor eight, which he was going to, then floor nine, Xavier is more than certain it's going to be a death match on floor 9; that is the easiest way to take care of them.

In the death match, one person was going to survive, but that one person was going to face floor ten alone, Xavier had no idea the contraption the god of death had located on the tenth floor, but one single person would have no chance of winning, and so all of them would die.

But Xavier was more concerned about floor nine; since starting the Tower of Trials, his stats had gone up considerably, especially his Mana, but that wasn't nearly enough to defeat the people he was planning to face off against.

Xavier turned around to look at Sylve, who was still staring at him; if he had to, he would waste no time in killing her; his best chance would be to decapitate her right away.

'I shouldn't be thinking about all this now'

Xavier was in front of the Hydra while his clone had gone to the back at his command; all seven of the heads that were cut off were gone; they had disintegrated into thin air.

Xavier picked a nice spot in between one of the heads and slashed it; with his Bloodreaver, the skin wasn't so tough, and he didn't even need to use that much strength. As soon as blood came in contact with the sword, it changed its form.

"I'm not fighting anything" Xavier spoke as he looked at the sword.

"So you have the guts to use me to carve up a death beast," the voice spoke in his head, causing Xavier to stagger backward as he turned around.

This voice was different from the one the sword normally speaks with; it was more like a mad person talking, but this time, he heard it perfectly.

"Did you just talk?" Xavier asked.

"No, I didn't...and how the hell are you able to resist my control, for some reason I can't do anything, I even tried pouring my power into you but still nothing"

"So you can speak just fine; I thought the only thing you knew was 'feed me' and 'more,' and you can't control me anymore; besides who are you because I'm sure swords don't talk like this?"

"I am Kaan the blood demon"

"Ohh, so you're the reason I lost control the other time and tried to kill everyone; you took control of my body; is that what you do?"

"I'm still going to take control of your body, I have no idea what you did, but you should know, you're going to die soon"

Xavier continued slashing into the Hydra, and as he did, not a single drop of blood was touching him.

The moment the sword makes contact with the Hydra, it begins absorbing the blood till Xavier pulls it out.

"I'm not; I'm still going to the land of the living and going to fuck up that demon lord that destroyed my kingdom," Xavier replied.

"You have a kingdom, are you a king or a prince?"

"Neither, and how are you even able to talk to me?" Xavier asked.

"As long as you're holding the sword and I want to talk, I can speak directly into your head and stop"

Xavier stopped, the sword in his hand stopped and he couldn't move it an inch, "Cut gently"

Xavier was already inside the Hydra's body now as he had cut deep into the flesh. He had no idea why he was told to cut gently, but he did, and a shining blur of light greeted him as he cut through the next piece of flesh.

Xavier cut around it, and a smile formed on his face; he had gotten the Hydra's crystal, a beautiful blue crystal.

"For a human, you are pretty strong, but you should watch your back, I'm not as kind as you think"

That was the last word his sword spoke as it went silent; even with Xavier talking and talking, it didn't answer.
