Lust System: Conquering the World Beauties-Chapter 415
Liam followed them until the path curved downward and opened up suddenly and when he stepped closer his eyes narrowed slightly in surprise.
Below the cliff rested a small private airport carved neatly into the land hidden and quiet like it did not want to be found by anyone who was not meant to be there.
A sleek private jet waited on the driveway its body gleaming under the open sky engines already humming softly like a living thing preparing to wake up.
Liam slowed his steps without realizing it.
Even he had to admit it was beautiful.
Not flashy not loud just clean sharp and expensive in a way that spoke of control rather than wealth.
Irina walked straight toward it without hesitation.
As they approached the stairs lowered smoothly and the door opened wide welcoming only the three of them.
Liam noticed it instantly.
The five guards stopped.
They did not follow.
They did not even move closer.
They simply stood where they were eyes alert bodies still like statues guarding the cliff itself.
Liam’s gaze shifted to Irina slow and questioning.
She noticed immediately and smiled faintly without turning around.
"Oh they’re not going with us" she said casually like it was nothing worth explaining.
Liam hummed once and nodded.
Fair enough
Inside the jet the space opened up wider than it looked from outside.
Soft lighting leather seats quiet hum of machinery beneath the floor
It smelled clean metal and faintly like expensive wood polish
Lana looked around with open curiosity
She had been on planes before but this was different.
This felt special,
Controlled.
Liam took a seat across from Irina and leaned back as the door closed,
A soft click sealed them in.
Up front the two pilots moved in perfect sync, Hands checking switches fingers tapping screens voices low and professional. One of them spoke into the headset while the other adjusted the throttle
Lights flickered softly overhead as systems came alive, The jet began to move slowly at first rolling forward with a gentle pull
The sound deepened engines rising together like a restrained growl
Lana glanced toward the window
The ground began to slide past them faster and faster
Then the push came
Not violent not sudden just firm
A steady pressure that pressed them back into their seats as the jet raced forward
The sound swelled air rushing past metal tires lifting
And then weight shifted
The ground fell away
Liam watched through the window as the world shrank
The cliff became a line
The airport a dot
The land unfolding beneath them like a map being folded smaller and smaller
He had flown many times
Even flown himself
But there was something grounding about watching the world fall away like this
He turned his head slowly toward Irina
"So" he said calm steady "what exactly do you want me and Lana to do when we get to Russia"
At his words Lana straightened slightly
Her curiosity sharpened
She had agreed without pushing for details trusting Liam but now that they were in the air heading somewhere far she wanted to know exactly what they were stepping into
Irina rested back in her seat hands folded loosely
Her expression shifted
The light tone faded replaced by something older heavier
"This goes a long way back" she said
She paused for a moment eyes drifting toward the window before continuing
"Long before borders before governments before people like you and me were born"
"The world wasn’t just humans"
"There were three of us who mattered"
"Werewolves vampires witches"
Her voice stayed even but the weight behind it was clear
"Back then vampires were the weakest" she continued
"They were nothing like what you see now"
"All they did was suck blood"
"They burned under the sun"
"They aged fast"
"They were so weak that even regular humans could kill them if they were careful enough"
Lana frowned slightly
That was hard to imagine after everything they had seen
"They hated it" Irina went on
"They hated being at the bottom"
"So they started searching for ways to change it"
"Not just strength"
"Everything"
"Power"
"Longevity"
"Freedom"
Her fingers tightened slightly as she spoke
"And they succeeded"
Liam’s eyes sharpened
"They found ways to evolve themselves"
"They rewrote what they were"
"They could walk under the sun"
"They became stronger faster harder to kill"
"Stronger than werewolves in many cases"
"But power always takes something in return"
Her jaw tightened
"Their bloodlust grew"
"Not hunger"
"Lust"
"Uncontrollable"
"Towns started disappearing overnight"
"Entire settlements wiped out"
"No survivors"
"No bodies sometimes"
Lana inhaled slowly
Her hand clenched on her thigh
"That’s when the witches stepped in" Irina said
"They couldn’t destroy the vampires completely"
"So they cursed them"
"A massive sacrifice"
"Lives given freely"
"The curse bound them"
"Restricted their movement"
"Restricted their power"
"Restricted their bloodlust"
"For generations the balance held"
Irina lifted her gaze and locked eyes with Liam
"But now" she said quietly
"That restriction is over"
The words settled heavy in the cabin
The jet continued climbing
The world below distant and small
And for the first time since stepping on board both Liam and Lana understood something clearly
This was not just another fight
This was not just another enemy
This was history waking up again
Liam stayed quiet for a moment after Irina finished speaking. The hum of the jet filled the space between them, steady and constant. Lana could feel the tension shift beside her. Liam’s posture had changed. Not defensive. Not relaxed either. Focused.
He finally spoke.
"So what’s our part in this?" he asked calmly, his eyes fixed on Irina. "Because you didn’t bring us all this way just to tell a history lesson."
Irina met his gaze without flinching. There was no smile on her face now, no teasing edge. Just seriousness.
"When we get to Russia," she said slowly, choosing her words, "there is something I need you to see."
Liam frowned slightly. "See what?"
She shook her head. "Not yet. If I explain it now, you won’t understand. And if you don’t see it with your own eyes, you might not believe me."
Lana leaned forward a little. "Is it about the vampires?"
"Yes," Irina replied immediately. "But not just them."
That made Liam’s eyes narrow. "You’re being vague on purpose."
Irina didn’t deny it. "Because this isn’t something you agree to with words. It’s something you agree to after you feel it. After you understand what’s really at stake."
Silence settled again.
Liam exhaled slowly through his nose. He didn’t like being led blind. He never had. But at the same time, Irina wasn’t lying. He could tell. Whatever she wanted to show him mattered. A lot.
"And Lana?" he asked. "What’s her role in all this?"
Irina glanced at Lana briefly, then back at Liam. "The same as yours. To see. To judge. And to decide."
Lana raised an eyebrow. "That’s not exactly comforting."
Irina gave a small shrug. "The truth rarely is."
The jet shifted slightly as it adjusted course. The light outside the windows changed, turning darker as thick clouds passed beneath them.
Liam leaned back in his seat and turned his head toward the window. Far below, endless forests stretched out like a living ocean. Dark green, dense, untouched. No cities. No roads. Just wilderness as far as the eye could see.
Russia.
Big. Old. And full of things that refused to die.
His reflection stared back at him faintly in the glass. His mind was already moving, already calculating possibilities, threats, outcomes. Vampires without restraints. Witches who had once rewritten reality. Werewolves desperate enough to ask for help.
And now him.
Liam rested his arm against the window frame and watched the trees slide by beneath the clouds.
Whatever Irina wanted him to see, he knew one thing for sure.
Once he saw it, there would be no turning back.
