Lunar Legacy: Rise Of The Beastlord-Chapter 77: Wrath of Titans (2)
Chapter 77: Wrath of Titans (2)
The world held its breath. Ash rained down from shattered trees. The very ground was carved in trenches from claw marks, impacts, and spiritual pressure alone. Even the wind was afraid to blow.
Jayden and the Winter wolf stood on opposite side of the arena, silently watching and waiting for the right moment to strike.
The final round was about to begin.
Everything they had endured so far... the fights, the wounds, the sacrifices. All of it had been for this very moment. The moment that would be remembered in primal history.
The moment that would determine the winner. The Alpha. freēnovelkiss.com
Jayden and the Winter wolf stepped forward, locked gazes, and gave each other a silent, respectful nod. A final salut.
Then... they vanished.
BOOM—BOOM—BOOM!
Sonic cracks ripped through the forest.
Jayden teleported mid-dash using psychic pulses, zigzagging like lightning... approaching the Winter wolf with a wild frenzy.
She countered with a spiral of frost rings, freezing space itself to limit his movement.
But he slipped through, ducked under, and came up with an uppercut that launched her skyward.
BOOM!
The Winter wolf shot up into the sky. She recovered quickly and twisted, conjuring a frozen disc under her paws, and ricocheted downward like a missile, claws first.
CRASH!!
She drove Jayden into the earth.
Jayden retaliated instantly, grabbing her by the snout, flipping her over his shoulder and slamming her into an ice pillar, shattering it.
Then he teleported behind her... And blasted her spine with a point-blank telekinetic pulse.
BOOM!!!
The whole hilltop cracked.
Trees leaned.
Clouds spiraled.
The beasts watching screamed and fled—anything with a soul knew it was too dangerous to watch anymore.
This wasn’t just two beasts fighting. It was a clash of titans.
Jayden surged forward, meeting the Winter wolf head-on. He slammed his shoulder into her gut, lifted her up, and...
BAM!!
He delivered a devastating... German Suplex.
Right into the frozen floor.
"RAAAAHHH!!!"
He roared, his voice echoing through the coliseum like a war cry of the gods.
The Winter wolf staggered up, blood on her snout, half her ribs broken.. But her eyes still glinted with savage thrill.
She wasn’t defeated.
She refused to be.
Her wounds closed up, her ribs healed with a terrifying speed. She growled and raised her head high, her expression turning serious.
And then...
AWOOOO!
She howled.
The air dropped instantly to sub-zero... and in the wake of her voice, the sky above twisted into a spiral of auroras. Snowflakes the size of fists descended.
But they weren’t snowflakes.
They were blades.
Dozens.
Hundreds.
Thousands.
Each one razor sharp, glinting with blue fire.
Jayden looked up at the cloud of death shards, thousands of blue blades, all targeted at him.
He quickly raised his arms and used his telekinesis to form a barrier above his head.
But it wasn’t enough.
The Winter wolf dropped everything at once, thousands of blades pouring on Jayden like a storm.
SHRING—SHRING—SHRING—
BOOM—BOOM—BOOM—
Some were deflected by the telekinesis barrier, but most were not.
He got buried beneath them, as they tore pierced his skin and tore into his flesh.
Blood flew.
Fur tore.

Jayden gritted his teeth. But he didn’t fall.
He refused.
The Winter wolf watched in anticipation as her attack barraged Jayden, dealing a lot of damage to his health.
She hoped that the attack was enough to defeat him for good.. but at the same time, she hoped that he recovered. So they could fight some more.
But then... Silence.
The shower of daggers had ended, burying Jayden in the process.
There was no sign of movement.. and for a second, the Winter wolf thought it was over.
But as she took a seat forward.
BOOM!
Jayden burst upward, swiping wildly, psychic force rippling out from his claws. He pierced through the blades, and went straight for the her neck.
But she was quick to react... moving like a blur, heading towards Jayden’s incoming body.
She met him in mid-air... and the two slammed into each other like two gods made flesh.
They clashed again. Slashing. Chomping. Dodging.
The Winter Wolf rolled, spiraled around and landed a hit to Jayden’s chest, freezing the air in his lungs, hoping to paralyze him with a frost aura.
But Jayden adapted. He struck the ground, and summoned heat from his body, creating a thermal shockwave that exploded the frost.
The Winter wolf tried to retreat, but he grabbed her paw. Slammed it down, and kicked her snout.
"I’m not done!" he bellowed.
But then—She rammed him in the face.
CRACK!
Blood exploded from his nose, his mouth.
And before the droplets touched the ground...They froze.
In mid-air.
And just like the last time, she turned his blood into crimson glacier daggers.
Her paw snapped.
They launched—straight at his face.
But Jayden was faster this time.
SHHHING!
He crossed his arms, blocking them. The daggers pierced his forearms but barely broke through his thick fur.
The Winter wolf tried to conjure another wave of ice daggers, but Jayden acted quickly.
THWACK!!!
Jayden’s backhand crashed into her cheek like a falling mountain.
CRASH!!!
She hit the ground hard—snow exploding around her.
She lifted her head—dazed.
But Jayden was already there.
He grabbed her tail—
And hurled her like a meteor into a tree.
CRACK!!!
The trunk split. She dropped with a muffled grunt.
She tried to stand—
But Jayden wasn’t done.
He towered over her, claws raised—aiming straight for her skull.
But she rolled—fast.
SWOOSH.
His claw slashed through the snow, missing by inches.
She sprang back, panting, bloodied, but still burning with that wild fire.
They stared at each other. Both determined to win. Both determined to get retribution.
The Winter wolf was already getting exhausted, her stamina depleting rapidly. She had used a lot of energy to conjure the thousands of ice daggers earlier. And that took a toll on her.
But Jayden was still burning with a fury, his claws twitching and aching for blood. He still had a lot of stamina and his will was unyielding.
And with a surge of primal power, he charged forward towards the Winter wolf again, this time in a mad, wild frenzy.
The Winter Wolf ran.
Her body was battered, her gait uneven, blood soaking into the frost with every limping step. Her breath came in short, hissing bursts—each one a puff of steam in the frozen air. The once-proud Alpha of the forest, now stumbling through the snow like a wounded ghost.
But behind her, steady... unstoppable...
Jayden followed.
His steps were thunder.
Heavy.
Relentless.
The wind didn’t dare touch him. The trees themselves seemed to lean away as he passed.
His golden eyes locked on her silhouette. He raised his hand—trembling, trembling not from fatigue, but from something deeper. Something primal, buried under layers of pain and rage and heartbreak.
Then...
WHHHHRMMM!
A shockwave of telekinetic energy roared outward.
It struck the Winter Wolf like a hammer from heaven. Her body convulsed mid-leap, frozen in the air as if time itself had grabbed her.
She hit the earth hard, twisting with a growl of pain. And before her mind could catch up...
He was already there.
A flicker. A blur. A storm in human skin.
His claws sliced downward.
RRRRIPPP!
Her back leg erupted in pain as Jayden’s claws tore deep, slicing through flesh, tendon, and pride.
She howled and collapsed, her body slumping against the snow like a broken statue. Her paw twitched. But she didn’t rise.
She couldn’t.
Jayden had immobilised her. And he needed to finish the fight before her legs healed up.
But then... something hit him.
A flicker of memory.
A inferno of rage.
Jayden’s breath hitched. His fists clenched. His eyes widened as a reel of pain spun wildly behind them.. fragments of his past flashing like lightning in a thunderstorm.
Her howl overlapped with another...
...his sister’s scream.
...his mother’s silence.
That night. That night. When everything was stolen from him. When his world turned to ice and never thawed.
"You froze my heart..."
His voice cracked like glass.
"You wanted to destroy my home... my family..."
Something inside him gave way. A dam broke. And the flood came.
Jayden’s body surged. Veins bulged. His spine arched. His breath grew ragged and sharp. The beast inside him, originally caged, had been let out.
And Jayden stopped holding back.
He let it take over.
He let it devour him.
And what came next wasn’t a fight.
It was a brutal reckoning.
