Chapter 657: Mrs. Churchill And Her Old Pupils

Mrs. Churchill smiled. She glanced at Arielle briefly and nodded. She had known from the start that the queen would ask her like this. However, to be honest, doing that was hard. She had to discuss it with the school directors, as well as the teachers first because there was a lot to consider. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

This academy was an elite school where many people were competing to get in here, and they had to go through a difficult test. Sasha also did the same. The boy was preparing for his tests now, thus he couldn’t play in the palace much because he had to prepare to enter the academy.

Arielle waited for Mrs. Churchill’s answer.

"I cannot give an immediate answer, Your Highness. This must be decided by the school directors through several tests, and one of them is the interview test," answered Mrs. Churchill firmly.

Ronan had predicted that Mrs. Churchill would talk like that, so Arielle wasn’t too surprised to hear it. She also felt a little relieved because the man had told her everything beforehand.

"The new semester is still a month and a half, right? If Princess Irene manages to pass all the tests, the academy will accept her, right?"

Mrs. Churchill wouldn’t hide anything. She would tell everything she knew to the queen so that there would be misunderstandings in the future. Not only the tests that she was worried about, but several decisions related to the school environment also needed to be thought of.

Mrs. Churchill didn’t lie or try to cover up that even though they had done everything as strictly as possible, sometimes there were one or two cases of bullying that occurred among the students which escaped their supervision.

They certainly wouldn’t let that happen to Princess Irene, but they also couldn’t give the young girl special treatment even though she was the younger sister of the king. Because the educational philosophy adopted by Mrs. Churchill was an equal opportunity for everyone who wanted to get an education regardless of their backgrounds.

Although in the end, almost ninety-five percent of the students in the academy were from wealthy families. They were born with the privilege of getting a chance to study, and because of that, they could pass all the tests that the academy gave in the registration process.

And so far, they had never accepted students that passed the age of attending the academy.

"Once again, I cannot give you an immediate answer, Your Highness. In the process of accepting the new students, I am not the only one who can make decisions," answered Mrs. Churchill who made sure that there was a chance for Irene to get into the academy.

Arielle fell silent for a moment. She looked at Mrs. Churchill who was also looking at her. Then, she gave the old woman a faint smile.

"I understand, and I really respect your decision. But there’s no harm in trying, right?" Arielle asked.

Mrs. Churchill replied with a faint smile too. "Yes, Your Highness. We will, of course, follow your wisdom of always giving everyone a chance to try."

Arielle took a sip of the bitter tea. Even so, she still drank it out of respect for Mrs. Churchill.

"Mrs. Churchill, my husband sends greetings to you. He hopes that you stay healthy."

Mrs. Churchill bent down her head slightly then nodded. It’s an honor, Your Highness. I am certainly in my prime condition. I also hope His Majesty King Ronan is always in good health."

"My husband always says he misses his school days."

Arielle was a bit taken aback when she heard Mrs. Churchill’s chuckle. Her blushing face made the old woman seem gentler and less cold.

"His Majesty King Ronan was still a crown prince at that time. He had a group with William, Kael, and Lazarus. I would never be able to forget the four of them because they had made my life as a teacher like hell," said Mrs. Churchill with a smile.

"Ahahaha, I can understand it. The four of them are still together until now," Arielle continued, making Mrs. Churchill’s smile get wider.

"The four of them almost kept me awake every night. They always came with problems, especially Lazarus. Ah, that boy... he wasn’t very bright, yet he was good at giving people a headache."

Arielle laughed because it happened to her too. The duo Lazarus and William were the troublemaker students that the school directors hated the most at that time. Both of their parents had been called several times, and almost every year, Lazarus was on a list that was almost being dropped out by the academy.

They set a score limit of minus four hundred points to drop out a student, but every year, Lazarus’ score was minus three hundred and nineties. It never really got to minus four hundred, so the school directors, as well as the teachers couldn’t just drop him out.

Besides, Lazarus’s family was one of the families that gave the highest donations along with William’s and Ronan’s families, so by joining hands with their respective parents, they could keep Lazarus until graduation with very minimal grades.

"I can understand your concern, Mrs. Churchill. Lazarus is a bit difficult to manage, but lately he hasn’t caused too much trouble, as he is preparing himself to build a family."

"Oh, Lazarus is getting married? It’s very shocking news. I thought Lazarus would be the one who would never get married besides William."

"Yeah, when I first met him, I thought the same thing, but now Lazarus has met a woman who can handle him well."

Mrs. Churchill pursed her lips together into a faint smile. "Ah, thank you Moon Goddess. I’m really relieved to hear that."

"Then, what about William? Have you met a woman who can make him become a better man?"

Arielle just laughed. From what she knew so far, William had never caused any trouble like Lazarus did. In fact, she often felt guilty for William because Ronan kept treating the man like a slave. He let William handle most of his work every night.

"William is fine. He hasn’t met anyone yet."
