Love You Till the End-Chapter 296: Be Good and Wait for Me
Chapter 296: Chapter 296: Be Good and Wait for Me
On the drive to the mountain villa, Shi Yu’s phone rang.
He pulled out his hand to answer the call and saw that it was from Qin Jin, with a dreadfully gloomy voice, "Hello."
Noticing his displeasure, Qin Jin couldn’t help teasing, "What, did I interrupt something important?"
"Talk business," Shi Yu’s eyes darkened, his voice turning even colder.
"There are several foreign investors, supposedly involved in national projects. They want to meet you; they came all the way to Imperial 19 City tonight. Make some time to drop by."
"I’m not free."
"These guys are said to be quite influential. Miss Mo is hosting them on her 18th floor, and they’ve opened four or five bottles of wine worth a million each. It won’t look good if you don’t show up."
"Continue."
Shen Cheng leaned against the fully opened car window, her eyes half-closed, letting the night wind blow through her long hair.
Shi Yu hung up the phone, glanced at her, then returned his gaze to the front.
In the dimly lit car, his handsome face became more defined, always wearing a smile on his lips.
The car quickly entered the mountain villa.
After parking, Shen Cheng turned to push the car door open.
Just as she was about to get out, she was abruptly pulled back into the car.
Then, a scorching body descended upon her.
"Mmph!"
His wild kiss was fierce, eliciting an involuntary muffled groan from Shen Cheng.
This kiss came suddenly and ended just as abruptly.
Pulling away from her lips, Shi Yu hooked her chin with his hand, his alluring eyes squinting slightly, "I’ll make a trip back to Imperial 19, be good and wait for me."
After speaking, he kissed her on the tip of her nose.
"Mhm, drive safe."
Shen Cheng got out of the car and was immediately greeted by servants who offered warm hospitality, then escorted her respectfully into the main building.
Seeing that Shi Yu personally drove her here, the servants dared not ask too much, nor did they dare to show any negligence in their care.
Watching the petite figure disappear into the distance, Shi Yu finally turned the car around in the vast estate.
Twenty minutes later, he arrived at the Emperor Building, taking the private elevator to the 18th floor.
Someone was waiting by the elevator doors. Upon seeing him, they greeted him with nods and bows, welcoming him inside.
Mo Qingxin’s 18th floor was built to rival a palace, replete with utmost luxury.
From the moment one entered, a carved wine rack stretched all the way to the back, showcasing various vintage wines with prices ranging from six to nine digits.
"What national project?" Shi Yu strode in, glancing indifferently at the foreigners seated on the sofa.
Someone beside him replied, "Well, they’ve heard about your plans to buy land in the southern outskirts of S country to build a noble golf course and are hoping to discuss the possibility of investing in this project with you."
"You call that a national project?" Shi Yu stopped in his tracks, his gaze growing ominously darker, brimming with danger.
The person who responded was so frightened by Shi Yu’s expression that they didn’t dare to speak, and the foreigners began to look at one another uncertainly.
Seeing that the atmosphere had become somewhat awkward, Mo Qingxin stood up to ease the situation, "Since everyone is here, let’s sit down and talk things over, if only to give me some face."
However, Shi Yu remained unmoved, with no intention of sitting down. He only lit a cigarette and took a leisurely drag.
Seeing he was unwilling to consider her feelings, Mo Qingxin wasn’t embarrassed, but elegantly approached the investors.
"In fact, it’s an honor for Mr. Shi to grace us with his presence; after all, he’s involved in a wide range of businesses. Even for deals worth hundreds of millions, he seldom personally negotiates them. Please don’t take it personally," she explained to the investors.
Her fluent and beautiful English flowed effortlessly, compelling admiration.
