Chapter 111: Chapter 62 Holiday Routine

Su Wan, unhurriedly: "Qin Mu’s idol."

Next to her, Qin Mu snapped out of her TV trance upon hearing her name and turned her head to see Su Wan smiling as she held her phone. It was obvious who was on the other end. Qin Mu grinned mischievously and scooted closer to Su Wan: "Sis, tell brother-in-law thanks for the stuff his mom sent, we really like it."

Su Wan nodded and was about to speak when Fu Weiheng’s voice came through: "I heard that, as long as you like it."

Su Wan conveyed: "He said as long as you like it."

Qin Mu beamed and pointed at the handsome man on TV: "You two chat slowly, I’m going to continue watching my idol."

Su Wan got up and started towards the room and asked: "Have you eaten yet?"

Fu Weiheng: "Yeah."

Su Wan: "Are you busy?"

Fu Weiheng: "Planning to practice the violin later."

Su Wan: "...Oh."

There was another inexplicable silence over the phone, his steady breathing coming through the receiver made Su Wan feel as if she could sense his warm breath, making her earlobes heat up.

"His violin skills are mediocre."

He suddenly spoke, his indifferent tone sounding casual, yet clearly full of disdain.

Su Wan, sitting at the head of the bed, was taken aback: "Who?"

After a pause, he replied: "Xiang Qichen."

"..."

The jealousy is quite strong...

Su Wan couldn’t help but laugh: "How do you know?"

Fu Weiheng raised his eyebrow: "The violin instructor for the drama’s male lead is me."

Su Wan was inevitably surprised: "It’s a bit hard to imagine you getting involved with a TV drama."

Fu Weiheng replied mildly: "Just a favor for someone."

The main investor of the drama happened to be a company under Ye Yin Huan.

"Were the hands in the violin close-ups yours?" she asked again.

"Ha..." Mr. Fu snorted, finding it ridiculous, "Do you think that’s possible?"

Do you think my graceful and noble violinist hands would stoop to being a hand double for this actor?

Su Wan silently filled in the second half of his sentence in her mind, the answer was naturally: "...Impossible."

On the day before New Year’s Eve, Su Wan went out early to take the subway to the city center’s bookstore and only left after lunch to take the subway home. As the year-end approached, the streets were full of New Year’s atmosphere, decorated with lanterns and red banners, as well as cartoon chickens everywhere. The subway station was as crowded as ever, and after descending into the underground passage, just as Su Wan fished out her subway card, she felt a gentle tap on her shoulder.

Su Wan instinctively looked over to see a spirited and silver-haired old man. He was wearing an ordinary black cotton-padded jacket, slightly stooped, and smiled kindly: "Young lady, is this where you take the subway?"

Su Wan smiled and directed him: "Just keep going straight."

"Thank you, young lady."

There happened to be a few steps ahead. After thanking her with a nod and a smile, he lifted his somewhat stiff foot to descend, clearly struggling and unsteady even after just taking one step.

Seeing this, Su Wan quickly stepped forward to support his arm gently and softly said: "Take it slow."

The old man smiled awkwardly, saying: "I’m getting old, and my legs don’t work as well. Thank you for the trouble, young lady."

Su Wan chuckled: "No worries, I’m taking the subway too."

When they reached the entrance, Su Wan glanced at the ticket machine ahead and asked: "Sir, do you have a subway card?"

The old man pointed to the ticket window a few meters away: "I’ll buy a ticket to ride."

Su Wan thought for a moment and asked: "Which station are you going to?"

The old man: "Seems like it’s Sihai Square Station, I’m heading to Pinghe North Road."

"Alright, wait here for a moment." Su Wan said as she took out her wallet from her bag, "I’ll go buy your ticket."

And without waiting for the old man to say more, she ran straight to the automatic ticket machine and quickly inserted the coins to buy the ticket.

The old man looked at the brand new subway ticket Su Wan handed to him, his smile faded slightly, and he felt a bit embarrassed: "Thanks so much, young lady, how much was the ticket, I need to pay you." With that, he pulled out a wallet from his pocket and took out a hundred-yuan bill to hand to her.

Su Wan waved her hand dismissively: "No need, it’s just two yuan."

The old man insisted, firmly putting the red bill into her hand: "Take it, take it, we’re strangers, how can I let you spend money out of nowhere."

Su Wan awkwardly held the bill, feeling at a loss: "But I don’t have change for you..."

The old man, quite generous, said: "Then don’t worry about the change, just keep it, let’s hurry and board." He clutched the ticket and went to pass through security.

Su Wan helplessly rubbed her forehead, clutching the bill in her palm as she followed with her bag through the security check.

She couldn’t help but sigh deeply in her heart...
