Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming!-Chapter 785 - 805: Wait for the Good Show to Begin!
The two didn’t exchange much conversation. After greeting each other, Aidan Sutherland went off to chat with some familiar faces at the party, while Dawn Sutherland, being the center of the party, was even busier, mingling through the crowd with countless drinks downed.
Everyone could see how the Sutherland brothers interacted. It was clear to them that the brothers, as rumors suggested, didn’t share a close bond and even seemed to have a mutual disdain.
Daisy Grant exited the center of the venue, heading to Ariel Morris on the side, who was eating. They chatted happily, laughing with each other.
At that moment, Elsa suddenly appeared in Daisy Grant’s line of sight, wearing a red gown. Daisy’s fingers stiffened on her wine glass, her gaze cold and sharp directed at Elsa.
"Ariel, wait here for me, I’ll be right back," Daisy Grant smiled and said to Ariel Morris.
"Alright."
Daisy Grant placed her wine glass on the tray in the food area and walked towards Elsa in high heels.
As Daisy approached, her cold eyes swept over Elsa, "Why are you here, Elsa?"
Elsa sneered, "Dawn’s opening party is inviting plenty of high-society socialites. It’s just an invitation; how could I not get one?"
"Why did you come? Elsa, if you dare to plot against my brother, don’t blame me for being rude!" Daisy’s voice was somewhat cold. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Elsa clicked her tongue twice, giving Daisy a sidelong glance, "Hey, Daisy Grant, have you fallen for Dawn? Why so nervous?"
Daisy glanced around at the people nearby, "Elsa, don’t speak nonsense! I warn you, this is my brother’s opening party. If you dare to cause trouble, the Grant Family’s influence is enough to deal with you!"
Elsa paused, "What have I done to offend you, Daisy Grant? Here I am kindly warning you to be cautious with Dawn, and yet there’s no gratitude! I have no personal vendetta against Dawn, so why would I target him? I wouldn’t waste my energy on such matters. I’m only interested in Aidan."
Daisy pursed her lips, her probing gaze examining Elsa.
Elsa raised her eyebrows, smiling deeply, "Daisy Grant, tonight isn’t going to be a peaceful night. There’s a grand show waiting for us, bound to be exciting! Imagine if something happened to Dawn at his company’s opening, it’d be quite a sensation, wouldn’t it?"
Daisy’s fingertips froze, "Elsa! If anything happens at this party tonight, I won’t let you off! Whether it’s you or not, I’ll blame you! Elsa, if you want to play games, go ahead! Do you believe that with just one word, Aidan would find a way to send you abroad, never setting foot in City C again? Elsa, it’s beneath me to play with you. But if I really start, with the Grant Family backing me, I can play well!"
Elsa inwardly sneered at Daisy’s strong reaction.
Daisy Grant, can you really claim there’s nothing between you and Dawn? Are your countless efforts to protect him truly just a pure uncle-niece relationship?
Elsa scoffed inwardly, a hint of a smile on her face, "Daisy Grant, this time you’re really misunderstanding me. I won’t target Dawn. Though I won’t, it doesn’t mean others won’t. I’m just giving you a heads up, let’s wait for the show to start!"
Elsa turned and left. As she passed by a waiter, she took a glass of wine, her smile growing even brighter at the thought of what was about to unfold.
Daisy Grant, tonight I’ll see you ruined!
Uncle-niece—hah, Daisy Grant, I’m making it happen for you!
Elsa walked away, Daisy’s unease growing, her eyes scanning the crowd for Dawn’s figure.
Seeing Dawn laughing and chatting with guests, Daisy pressed her lips together and returned to Ariel Morris’s side, her eyes never daring to leave Dawn Sutherland, fearing anything might happen.
