Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming!-Chapter 763: His trust in her cannot be shaken by anyone.
Daisy Grant smiled faintly, casting a sidelong glance at Evalian Chapman busy at work nearby, her eyes dimming slightly as she deliberately spoke in a teasing tone, "Second Brother, why do you trust me? Aren’t you afraid I’ll tell your company’s planning proposal to Aidan Sutherland? Or that my Grant Clan might steal your proposal—"
Dawn Sutherland walked over to the water dispenser and brewed two cups of instant coffee, handing one cup to Daisy Grant who was seated on the office chair and smiled lightly, "I trust you as I trust myself; no one would betray themselves."
Daisy Grant’s eyes sparkled with dazzling starlight, as she looked at Dawn Sutherland and chuckled softly, "Why, Second Brother?"
"Because in my most helpless and difficult times, aside from Arlo and Third Haynes, you were the one who encouraged and helped me. They are like brothers to me, and you are family in my heart."
Even an intimate love—
His trust in her is unwavering against anyone.
Even if the whole world said Daisy Grant betrayed Dawn Sutherland, he would question the world rather than doubt her for a second.
"So—Second Brother has always thought of me as a younger sister, right? Just like Ariel Morris?" Daisy Grant’s slender fingers gently tapped the edge of the coffee cup, her brows slightly furrowed, masking her downcast emotions.
Dawn Sutherland stiffened for a moment and answered softly.
He considers Ariel his sister, but for her, it’s a love that no one can replace.
But being a sister is better than being a sister-in-law; he internally rejects her as his sister-in-law because the label "sister-in-law" implies she’s all tied to Aidan Sutherland.
As Dawn Sutherland’s words fell, Daisy Grant bowed her head lower, her hand holding the coffee cup becoming rigid and cold.
"Dawn Sutherland, take a look at these materials, I’ve just sorted them out with Ariel Morris," Evalian Chapman came over with a file, standing close by Dawn Sutherland.
Holding her coffee, Daisy Grant quietly retreated from the two, finding a corner to help staff tidy and organize the company’s office desks and chairs, deliberately keeping some distance from Dawn and Evalian to avoid seeing a scene that pained her heart.
Ariel Morris came over with two small potted plants, placing them on the office desk, nudging Daisy Grant with her elbow, and grinning mischievously, "Daisy, have you noticed how Evalian Chapman has been getting closer to Brother Dawn recently? Coming over here to help him every day, even the employees in Brother Dawn’s company jokingly call Evalian Chapman the Boss Lady."
Daisy Grant’s fingers stiffened for a moment, smiling faintly, "Is that so? That’s good. Second Brother has been single for so many years, and there’s no hope with the girl he likes. Instead of waiting, he might as well choose Evalian Chapman; her lively and cheerful personality would make Second Brother very happy together."
"Even Arlo advises Brother Dawn the same way, but it seems Brother Dawn still wants to wait for that girl he likes to turn back. But who knows, I notice Brother Dawn’s attitude towards Evalian Chapman has become more natural lately; maybe, bit by bit, they’ll end up together? After all, Evalian Chapman is pursuing Brother Dawn like this, and they say the pursuit of love isn’t as elusive as it seems. Even I managed to win over Arlo, who is so coldly aloof, so Brother Dawn, being the warm-hearted guy, should be easier to win over by a girl who actively pursues him, right?"
Daisy Grant laughed awkwardly, her smile stiffening, reaching out to take the small potted plant from Ariel Morris’s hand, but due to her stiff fingers, it fell to the ground with a crack.
"Sorry, sorry." Daisy Grant apologized, bending down immediately to pick up the pot on the ground.
But someone quickly squatted beside her, stopping her hand from touching the fragments of the pot—
Daisy Grant gently raised her eyes, "Second Brother, sorry."
Dawn Sutherland smiled softly, shaking his head, his tone exceptionally gentle, "It’s alright, just let the employees sweep it up; don’t pick it up with your hands, you’ll get hurt."
