Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming!-Chapter 761: I have always had absolute faith in you.
Evalian Chapman must have said something, as a gentle smile appeared on Dawn Sutherland’s face, but it was like a thorn piercing Daisy Grant’s heart.
Daisy forced herself to look away, trying not to focus too much on the interaction between Dawn and Evalian. She walked over to stand by Ariel Morris, smiled softly, and asked, "Ariel, is there anything I can help with?"
Ariel stopped what she was doing, glanced over in Dawn’s direction, and said, "Why don’t you ask Brother Dawn? I heard him discussing business strategy and operations issues with Arlo earlier. I’m not sure how their discussion went. Maybe you could help since you work at the Grant Clan?"
Daisy hesitated for a moment, then slowly nodded.
She approached Dawn and Evalian, greeting them with a faint smile, "Brother Dawn, with the company opening soon, is there anything I can assist with?" She smiled and nodded towards Evalian. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
"Daisy Grant, haven’t seen you these few days. Were you on a date with Aidan Sutherland?" Evalian teased.
Daisy’s body tensed up for a moment, but she maintained a light smile and didn’t respond.
The word "date" caught Dawn’s attention, causing his heart to clench. His fingers stiffened, and he cast a glance at Daisy’s face.
She looked pleasant, with light makeup and dressed attractively, suggesting she had been enjoying her time with Aidan recently. Dawn felt a twinge of bitterness in his heart.
While Dawn was momentarily lost in thought, Daisy’s clear and melodious voice sounded again, "Brother Dawn, is there anything I can help with?"
Dawn snapped back to reality, returned to his office desk, pulled out a folder from a stack, and handed it over with a faint smile, "This is my strategic plan for the future of the company. I discussed it with Third Haynes and Arlo earlier. Please take a look and give me any suggestions."
Daisy smiled lightly, "Sure," and was just about to reach for it when Evalian’s voice suddenly piped up, "Hey—Daisy, don’t spill it to Aidan once you’ve read it, okay? He’s already come here bothering Dawn a few times these days. If you told him about Dawn’s new company plans, how do you think he’d treat Dawn?!"
Daisy’s hand, stretched out to take the folder, froze. Evalian’s offhand remark struck her heart like a needle.
She withdrew her hand, her smile calm, "Brother Dawn, let me help with something else. This is your company’s strategic plan for the future, and the advice from Brother Seys and Third Young Master Haynes surely beats mine. I have limited work experience, and I’m afraid I can’t offer you any valuable suggestions."
Evalian wasn’t wrong; she was Aidan’s fiancée and the future successor of the Grant Clan. It wasn’t appropriate for her to see the important documents of Dawn’s company.
This concerned the business secrets of Dawn’s company—
Hearing Evalian’s words, Dawn’s brow furrowed slightly. He saw Daisy withdraw her hand, and, pressing his lips together, pushed the folder forward again. Calmly, he said, "When it comes to you, I’ve never doubted for a second."
Daisy’s downcast mood lifted at Dawn’s words, and she looked up at him, her eyes brightening, "Brother Dawn—"
Dawn smiled lightly, "Do a favor for Brother Dawn, check to see if there’s anything lacking."
"Alright." Daisy smiled softly and took Dawn’s file.
Evalian paused, giving Dawn a glance, seemingly wanting to say something but held back.
Dawn noticed her concern and smiled gently, "Evalian, why don’t you help Ariel organize customer information? It’s fine."
When Dawn said "it’s fine," he meant he trusted Daisy completely, believed she wouldn’t disclose his company’s strategic plan. Evalian’s gaze swept between Dawn and Daisy, complex emotions surfacing.
