Chapter 51 - 51: The First Sword of Huaxia—I’ve Already Taken It from the Vault!
Traffic around Ed Gold Vault was completely paralyzed. As night fell, the glowing signs in the crowd lit up in a dazzling array of colors.
"Shit! It must be Ed Gold Vault refusing to allow the live broadcast!"
"Oh God, I can't wait to see that man in white appear!"
"Why hasn't Kaitō Kid shown up yet? Look at the time!"
"Hahaha, Kaitō Kid is insane, who dares to steal from Ed Gold Vault!"
The place was in an uproar, chaotic, with people even climbing on car roofs.
Kameda sat in the car cursing nonstop. With so many people gathered here, even if Kaitō Kid did show up, there'd be no way to catch him.
And what's more ridiculous, because of the massive crowd, Zhang Yang himself got stuck near the road leading to Ed Gold Vault.
"So many fans, huh?"
But with the road blocked like this, his plan was completely thrown off.
It wasn't about disrespecting his fans—it was just that with them all gathered here, his plan couldn't even start.
So, Zhang Yang picked up his phone and dialed the Britain Enforcement Bureau.
"What the hell are you people doing!"
"Ed Gold Vault looks like a damn concert venue. Get over there and clear the crowd, don't mess up our operation to catch Kaitō Kid!"
The dispatcher didn't know who the caller was, but hearing it was about catching Kaitō Kid, and that commanding tone, he didn't dare question it.
"Yes, sir!"
"We'll head out immediately!"
Everyone knew MI5 was after Kaitō Kid.
He believed the caller must be someone from MI5, maybe even Harrison himself.
As a low-level officer, the gap between him and MI5 was huge.
"Remember, after clearing the crowd, do NOT block off the roads!"
"You must leave Kaitō Kid the chance to approach Ed Gold Vault. Your bureau must not interfere with our capture operation!"
The dispatcher was instantly filled with a sense of duty and honor. His eyes lit up, determined.
"Understood, sir!"
Zhang Yang hung up and turned the car around.
Right after that call, the Enforcement Bureau dispatched a large number of officers to clear the crowd.
Ten minutes later, they arrived.
Seeing the massive crowd outside Ed Gold Vault, they were completely dumbfounded.
"Oh my God! Are these people crazy?"
"Fuck! Clear them out now, don't let them get in the way of the investigation!"
"Sound the alarms!"
They turned on their sirens and used loudspeakers. Nearly twenty patrol cars and over a hundred officers began squeezing into the crowd.
When Kameda heard the sirens, he was fired up.
"Yoshi, finally we can get rid of these lunatics!"
Even with all those officers, it still took more than two hours to clear everyone out.
Zhang Yang had told them not to seal off the roads, but to keep more people from gathering, a third of the officers stayed behind to guard the area, though the roads remained open.
Now, Zhang Yang stood atop a building, Ed Gold Vault just ahead to his right.
"Heh, heh, let's get started!"
He spread his Silver-Winged Cape and leapt off the roof.
The strength of Britain's three major vaults was no joke—their secrecy was tight, with no info about Ed Gold Vault's interior available online.
A flash of white streaked through the night sky, landing squarely on the rooftop of Ed Gold Vault.
From his magical wardrobe, Zhang Yang pulled out several boxes of fireworks, set them up on the rooftop, and lit them.
Brilliant fireworks burst across the night sky.
And it was right on the rooftop of Ed Gold Vault!
Kameda jumped out of the car in shock, staring up at the vault's rooftop.
"Baka yarō, what the hell?!"
The next second, Zhang Yang appeared on the rooftop!
Although Kameda couldn't clearly see his face, that white outfit alone was enough to tell who it was.
"Hello, everybody!"
Zhang Yang's voice was powerful, cutting through the constant crackling of fireworks and clearly reaching Kameda and the others below.
Albert rushed out from his office, panicked. Kaitō Kid was on the rooftop of Ed Gold Vault, shamelessly setting off fireworks!
He grabbed his walkie-talkie and called Harrison.
"Harrison, Kaitō Kid is on the rooftop, setting off fireworks!"
Ed Gold Vault didn't have any windows, and the soundproofing was top-notch, so Harrison hadn't heard a thing.
"Got it!"
Harrison immediately led his team up to the rooftop.
At that moment, Zhang Yang stood at the top, gazing at the dazzling fireworks lighting up the night sky.
A total of 600 shots, 10 points each—missing even one would be a sin.
Itō Itsuki was the first to reach the rooftop, with Harrison and his agents right behind.
"Kaitō Kid, what the hell are you doing?"
Itō glanced up at the fireworks, having no clue what Zhang Yang was up to.
Harrison, on the other hand, didn't hesitate to draw his gun. Eight dark gun barrels aimed straight at Zhang Yang.
"Kaitō Kid, you're under arrest!"
Zhang Yang frowned.
"Harrison, didn't we agree—no guns this time?"
He really hadn't expected Harrison to bring out the firearms.
"I'm just putting on a fireworks show, and you greet me with guns?"
Harrison glanced up, then let out a cold laugh.
Zhang Yang reached into his cape and pulled out a black-green long sword.
"These fireworks are for celebration!"
"The First Sword of Huaxia—I've already taken it from your vault!"
Harrison's eyes widened in shock!
But Itō didn't care. Instead, he excitedly drew his ninja blade.
"Bang—"
A sudden gunshot startled Itō.
Zhang Yang reacted instantly. At the sound of the shot, he twisted aside, dodging it!
Smoke still curled from Harrison's gun, and the other agents quickly fired as well.
Harrison wasn't about to give Zhang Yang another chance to escape. He fired without hesitation.
But Zhang Yang's movements were too quick, leaving only a trail of white afterimages. Not a single shot landed.
Itō stood frozen. Zhang Yang's agility stunned him!
Harrison's men were all professionally trained agents—there was no problem with their aim. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
"How is he so fast?"
"He moved the moment the shot rang out and dodged them all!"
"Damn it! I'm no match for him at all!"
Zhang Yang darted behind a rooftop vent, Harrison gripping his gun with both hands as they carefully advanced.
Above them, the last firework burst across the sky.
Zhang Yang suddenly sprang out again, more shots ringing out behind him.
He jumped off the rooftop in a smooth leap.
"Harrison, see you next time!"
In the next moment, his Silver-Winged Cape spread wide, and he soared off in style.
"Fuck!"
"He's too fast, we can't let him get away, head downstairs and chase!"
Harrison was furious. He thought his shooting was top-notch, but whenever he took aim at Zhang Yang, he was always just a step too slow.
Every single shot missed!
