Chapter 75: Chapter 75: Territory Mission

"Xu Yi, here’s your underwear, I’m going to take a shower first." Lu Ke handed Xu Yi the two pairs of underwear she had sewn, her face slightly flushed.

After all, it was her first time sewing clothes for someone else, and it was underwear.

"Thank you." Xu Yi took the underwear and grinned.

In his two lifetimes, no one had ever gifted him underwear.

Looking at the underwear in his hand, Xu Yi chuckled foolishly for a while before carefully folding them and tucking them into the large pocket of his jacket.

After Lu Ke finished showering, she sat by the fire to dry her hair.

"Xu Yi, what are you doing?" Lu Ke had looked several times but still hadn’t understood what Xu Yi was making.

"A simple square table." Xu Yi continued chiseling a square groove with a dagger, working faster than he expected. After all, the dagger was sharp enough to easily chisel through the wood.

"Should I weave the type of stool seat you mentioned?" Lu Ke remembered Xu Yi saying he wanted to make those little stools.

"No need, I can just sit on a chair. Previously, without daggers and machetes, a small stool sufficed. Now things are different; with daggers and machetes, we can do a lot of woodwork." Xu Yi thought, having received a Wood Art basic package, he must make use of it.

"But, you can weave a table mat." Xu Yi considered that the table he would make probably wouldn’t be very even, so he thought Lu Ke could weave a mat to lay on top.

"Okay, I’ll weave one when the table is done." Lu Ke thought it was best to finish making Pottery first before tackling other tasks.

"No rush, this table might take a few days to make." Saying this, Xu Yi scraped some wood shavings. This task required a gentle touch; the sharp dagger could easily carve too much and ruin the piece.

"Alright, I’m off to rest. You should come to bed early too." Seeing her hair was dry, Lu Ke prepared to sleep.

She knew that unless she went to sleep, Xu Yi wouldn’t come to bed.

"Alright, goodnight." Xu Yi glanced at Lu Ke and smiled slightly.

"Goodnight."

As Lu Ke said goodnight, the screen was filled with responses from her viewers. Then, her fans gradually exited the livestream room. It’s been 13 days; Lu Ke’s bedtime was almost the same every night, barring special circumstances.

After Lu Ke fell asleep, Xu Yi continued working for over twenty minutes before going to shower.

"Pretty fitting, huh." Xu Yi found the underwear Lu Ke made fit quite well, with ties at the waist to hold them in place.

He washed his own underwear and hung them on the drying rack, where Lu Ke’s were also hanging.

Xu Yi was currently bald, so he didn’t need to dry his hair.

After shoveling some charcoal back into the room, Xu Yi lay down to sleep.

The next day, Xu Yi opened his eyes.

Lu Ke was already up; outside, there was the sound of boiling water.

"System, clock in," Xu Yi said in his mind. It had been the 14th day since arriving on this planet and he’d successfully checked in for 19 days.

In three days, he would receive a new package.

These packages were very practical, and Xu Yi was quite looking forward to them.

After completing the check-in, Xu Yi walked out of the shelter.

"Morning, Xu Yi." Lu Ke greeted him immediately upon seeing him come out.

"Morning." Xu Yi responded and walked toward the water source to freshen up.

Breakfast was still grilled lamb leg; they had four legs, and yesterday they only ate one, leaving three to finish. Otherwise, they’d go to waste.

"Xu Yi, I hung the lamb legs in the clay kiln and laid down charcoal; they should be getting heated." Lu Ke shared the method she came up with.

"Great idea, I’ll check if they’re heated." Xu Yi said and walked to the clay kiln.

"They’re already heated; this method is really good. It can keep the meat a few days longer." Xu Yi pulled out a lamb leg, still quite hot.

"That’s good." Lu Ke said happily, as her idea was recognized by Xu Yi.

After breakfast, Xu Yi grabbed the wildcat’s carcass and headed towards the waterhole.

Almost every participant in this world started venturing out to forage. Some, like Xu Yi, went alone, and others in pairs.

Group 19 ventured out together.

However, neither of their faces looked good.

Because they triggered a task to hunt a leopard.

"Xia Bin, do you think other groups have this territory task too?" Li Changsheng, one member of group 19, tightly held the Mujin Bow and looked at his companion.

Xia Bin and Li Changsheng were both retired soldiers, one raising livestock at home, the other delivering parcels.

The night the Wilderness Challenge was announced, their families had dinner together. Upon learning they could earn 100,000 in subsidies after spending a day here, they decided to sign up. Their families also encouraged them.

Neither expected they’d actually be chosen.

During the tool selection, they chose two pairs of shoes, a pot, an Engineer Shovel, a fishing net, and a machete.

Since then, they never intended to stay just a day and leave.

Being mountain dwellers and trained in the military, they had inherent confidence in surviving the wilderness.

Ten billion—such a staggering fortune, how could they not be tempted?

With this massive amount, not only could they change their destinies but also those of their entire families.

Ten billion—many businessmen never accumulate such wealth in a lifetime; only top-tier moguls do.

They never thought they’d be so close to such colossal riches.

They’d already secured their ticket to the nearly ten billion jackpot.

After selecting their weapons, they were sent into a vast forest.

There, edible mushrooms grew all around. They harvested over 5 pounds.

Then, they spent two days finding a water source and setting up their camp nearby.

Snakes, squirrels, mice, rabbits—they’d eaten them all.

Before making the bow and arrow yesterday, both were very confident.

Resources were so plentiful they never went hungry.

These days, let alone 500 days, they felt they could stay three years without issue.

But last night, after crafting their second Hunting Bow, they received a message.

Within 52 hours, find and hunt a leopard in their territory.

If they fail, they’ll lose all equipment, including the Hunting Bow they crafted.
