Wang Jin immediately handed her javelin over and grabbed another from beside her. She felt uneasy without something in her hand.

Lu Yao adjusted her breath, aiming the javelin at another creature.

She exerted herself, thrusting forward.

"Ow."

The creature cried out as the javelin pierced through its body.

With two animals down, the remaining few reacted.

They glanced at Lu Yao, called out, and turned to flee into the woods, soon disappearing from sight.

Then, Lu Yao fastened the javelin, along with the creatures, into the barricade.

"Sis, you killed two of them?" Looking at the two extra animals by the fire, Wang Jin was amazed.

"The others ran away. We only killed two. If we killed more, we’d have meat for several days." Lu Yao said happily, not expecting it to be so easy.

Previously, she didn’t possess such strength, finding it challenging to penetrate large creatures with a javelin.

She was curious about this change.

"Can we eat this?" Wang Jin prodded the animals with her javelin, expressing doubt.

"Why not? It’s all high-quality protein, and there are two pelts too." Lu Yao pulled out the javelin, drawing her machete.

These animals were quite large. Once cleaned, they provided at least 50 pounds of meat, converting to jerky amounts to three or four dozen pounds.

It’s been 24 days, and this was their biggest harvest day in 24 days. Usually, they hunted and trapped only catching one, never two at once.

The Slingshot was effective against smaller animals, but for wolves or such larger creatures, it was somewhat lacking.

The Hunting Bow might be a better option.

She regretted not asking Xu Yi what kind of wood he used to make his Hunting Bow that day.
