Lingering Passion: Mr. Sutton Wants to be Your Male Lead!-Chapter 207: Take the Respect You’re Given
Stella Grant’s tone was gentle, but her words lacked any warmth.
The Sutton Family’s main branch over there is one crazy person, one sick person, isn’t that a fate worse than death?
After Stella finished speaking, the gloom on Silas Sutton’s face dissipated in a second. He interlocked his fingers with hers, and with a thin smile, said, "Your words are too profound; the third brother might not understand them."
Miles Sutton smiled insincerely and said, "Miss Grant is quite eloquent."
Stella Grant, "Thank you for the compliment, third brother."
Miles Sutton, "..."
A few minutes later, the three of them walked into the villa.
As soon as they entered the hallway, a strong smell of blood hit their noses.
Instinctively, Stella Grant frowned, and Silas Sutton lowered his head to whisper in her ear, "It won’t be the uncle."
She turned her head, raising an eyebrow.
Silas Sutton chuckled, "He’s physically sick, not mentally. If something happened to the uncle, how would he control me?"
Stella pursed her lips, understanding, and said softly, "Has it always been like this with you guys?"
Silas Sutton, "Like what?"
"Scheming against each other, speaking with thorns," Stella Grant pondered for a moment.
With mockery, Silas Sutton replied, "This is just the tip of the iceberg. If you’re interested, I could take you to The Sutton Family’s ancestral home for a show someday. I guarantee that by the end of the meal, you’ll have learned enough to survive ten episodes in a palace drama."
Stella Grant silently gave Silas Sutton a thumbs up.
A moment later, the two of them walked into the living room.
As expected, just as Silas Sutton predicted, the one being beaten was not Kenneth Grant but a bodyguard.
The bodyguard was tied up, beaten beyond recognition, with blood covering his face and body.
Miles Sutton sat down, seemingly choked by the bloody smell, covered his mouth with a handkerchief, turned to the bodyguard standing nearby, and asked, "Did he talk?"
The bodyguard responded, "No."
Miles Sutton, "Tough mouth?"
The bodyguard, "Yes, tough bones too."
Miles Sutton removed the handkerchief and threw it onto the coffee table. With a sickly face, he managed a light smile, "Since his bones are so tough, then dismantle them. Grind the hardest bone into powder for me." 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
The bodyguard, "Understood."
Miles Sutton waved his hand, "Drag him out to dismantle. Don’t scare Miss Grant."
The bodyguard nodded, "Yes, third young master."
After saying that, the bodyguard stepped forward, dragged the bodyguard on the floor, and started to walk out.
The beaten bodyguard shook like a sieve, and just when he was about to be dragged out the door, he screamed madly, "Third young master, I know I was wrong, I’ll talk, I’ll talk..."
The bodyguard pulling him stopped and looked at Miles Sutton.
Miles Sutton ignored him, slightly raised his chin, signaling to drag him out.
About five minutes later, a wail was heard from outside the door.
Miles Sutton took a deep breath, as if feeling sympathy for the person outside, turned to Stella Grant, and said, "That person was once my confidant, but he dared to try eating from both sides..."
Stella Grant maintained a calm demeanor, "So that’s how it is."
Miles Sutton, "Miss Grant doesn’t think I was too harsh, does she?"
Stella Grant, "No."
Miles Sutton smiled lightly, "True, the fourth brother is even harsher towards those who betray him."
Stella Grant calmly interjected, "He wouldn’t be like the third brother, he’s a law-abiding person."
Stella chose her words carefully, leaving no room for error, and Miles Sutton stared at her for a while before diverting his gaze to call for the maid to serve tea.
Three cups of tea were served, but only Miles Sutton drank, while neither Stella Grant nor Silas Sutton touched theirs.
Halfway through his cup of tea, Miles Sutton lifted his eyes to look at Silas Sutton, "Did the fourth brother come to see me today for something?"
Silas Sutton glanced at him, half-smiling, "I’m here to ask the third brother for someone."
Miles Sutton played dumb, "Who?"
Silas Sutton scoffed, "My father-in-law."
Miles Sutton looked suspicious, "Hmm?"
Silas Sutton played along, "Third brother, your men kidnapped Stella’s dad, you’re not aware?"
The two of them locked eyes, both were cunning foxes, neither letting any real emotion slip, only to see Miles Sutton frown slightly and ask, "Who?"
Silas Sutton chuckled gravely, "Kenneth Grant."
Miles Sutton still didn’t admit it, and turned his head to one of the bodyguards standing by the door.
The guard understood, and immediately spoke, "Third young master, we indeed brought someone back, but hadn’t reported to you yet, the person is related to the kidnapping case from back then involving you and the fourth young master."
Miles Sutton appeared displeased, as if he was just informed, "Such a big issue, why didn’t you tell me earlier?"
The guard replied fluently, "You were dealing with Hugh’s matter as soon as you came in, and we hadn’t had time to report to you."
Hearing this, Miles Sutton no longer looked at the person but turned to Silas Sutton with a smile, speaking seriously, "Fourth brother, you heard it too, the person is related to the kidnapping case from back then. This person..."
Silas Sutton reached out to pick up the teacup in front of him, laughed lazily, "Miles Sutton, calling you third brother is giving you face, you better take it."
Miles Sutton’s smile disappeared instantly.
Silas Sutton took a sip of the tea, raised his eyes to look at him, "The show has gone on too long, I’m too lazy to play along anymore."
