Ethan wanted to reject instantly because the last thing he was looking to do here was build relationships, but the situation around them right now was just too chaotic. He simply accepted the bag, accepted the system prompt that flashed in front of him next, giving him the ownership, and then stuffed everything into it ASAP.

The group then quietly tried to walk away to a corner. Lia's and Luna's faces were flushed red, and Ethan was uncomfortable with the amount of attention they were still getting. He did not really care about the pointing and the laughs. It was just that he wanted to keep a low profile. It looked like that ship had sailed now.

"Whatever," Ethan mumbled. He was ready to enter the next dungeon, and hopefully, in a couple of hours, the three of them would be old news. All these academies should definitely have more drama than three idiots making a complete fool of themselves, right?

"Don't worry. They will forget all about you." Finn laughed as if he had read his mind.

"Meh. I don't mind." Ethan shrugged. "But thank you for the save. I owe you one."

"It's not a big deal. I am also from a commoner's family. I too struggled when I entered the academy for the first time. I am a third year now, and finally, things are starting to look up." Finn started chatting.

Ethan awkwardly nodded in response. The guy was a good guy, but at the moment, he was just a little impatient to grind with his minions. "Hey, I am sorry. I am actually in a rush. I will catch up with you after the next dungeon run."

He waved goodbye and walked to the next green portal along with Lia and Luna. He knew he was being rude, but he was a starved man at a dinner table. He couldn't help it.

As Ethan, Lia, and Luna stepped through the portal, they found themselves surrounded by thick mist, the air damp and filled with the distant croaking of frogs and the occasional splash of unseen creatures moving through the murky water.

Towering, gnarled trees with twisted roots jutted out from the swampy ground, their bark covered in eerie glowing fungi that cast a dim, ghostly light.

"Ugh," Lia groaned, hugging herself. "It smells terrible."

Luna wrinkled her nose, clinging to Ethan's sleeve. "Big brother, I don't like this place."

Ethan exhaled slowly, already mentally mapping out their strategy. This dungeon was clearly different from the previous one. The Crystal Glade had been straightforward—just slimes and loot.

But this? This place screamed ambushes, tricky terrain, and monsters lurking just beneath the surface.

"Stay alert," he instructed. "Swamps are nasty. We'll keep moving and stick to dry ground as much as possible." However, all of this did not matter. This was still a green portal, and it was business as usual.

Ethan did not hold back and started summoning all of his minions one after the other. He planned on saving his slots for minions from higher levels, but for him to actually cross the threshold, he needed all of his minions to reach the same level.

He had a feeling that there was more to this condition, and he wanted to know what it was. Besides, he would always be able to take in more minions, so he did not care about the limit. As long as he could add another minion, he kept adding them left and right.

Soon, the already eerie swamp became an absolute war zone.

A swamp crawler burst out from the water with a gurgling snarl—its slimy, elongated body covered in pulsating, green boils. It lunged at a goblin, its wide maw unhinging unnaturally to swallow its prey whole.

Before it could clamp down, a pair of wolves pounced, tearing into its side. The crawler let out a horrible shriek, but before it could retaliate, a goblin stabbed its eye, sending dark, oozing blood into the swamp water.

Ethan smirked. So, it begins.

The moment blood touched the swamp, the waters boiled with movement—more creatures stirred, drawn to the scent of fresh carnage.

The fog rippled as dozens of gleaming yellow eyes snapped open, glowing with predatory hunger. From the depths of the murky waters, Swamp Gators emerged—massive, armored reptilian beasts with thick, moss-covered hides that blended seamlessly into the environment.

Their golden eyes gleamed with hunger as they snapped their powerful jaws, their razor-sharp teeth ready to tear through anything that moved. But they were simply no match for the insectoids.

Next were the bog striders and then swamp beetles. The lesser demons were more than capable of handling these and took care of them in a jiffy.

"Big brother!" Luna pouted. "I also want to fight. Everybody is becoming stronger. How is everyone becoming stronger? I want to become stronger too!"

Ethan scratched his head. "Okay. Let's do it then." He did bring them here to gain some combat experience. He couldn't simply let his minions have all the fun. He pointed at one of the bog striders, essentially an over-sized mosquito-like insect. "Use your fire spell to kill that thing."

"I won't let you down, big brother. I will make you proud."

Luna's eyes gleamed with determination as she raised her tiny hands. The air around her shimmered with heat as she gathered mana, her fingers trembling slightly with excitement.

"Fireball!" she yelled, thrusting her hands forward.

A small but potent ball of flame formed in the air before launching toward the bog strider. The mosquito-like creature twitched its spindly legs, sensing danger, but it wasn't fast enough. The fireball slammed into its thin, translucent wings, igniting them instantly.

The bog strider screeched in pain, flailing wildly as flames consumed its body, sending it crashing into the swamp with a loud hiss.

Luna turned to Ethan, eyes sparkling with pride. "I did it! Did you see, big brother?"
