Limitless Evolution Through Conquering Primal Beauties-Chapter 21 - Leonard’s Luck
Leonard kept watching Borami intently, his eyes following her every movement. The way her nimble fingers wove the plant fibers, the way her hair shifted in the wind, the way her lips occasionally pouted slightly in concentration. Leonard was captivated.
Borami, feeling his stare, tried to ignore it at first. She focused on her weaving, thinking Leonard was probably just daydreaming. But the staring didn’t stop. If anything, it felt more intense. Finally, unable to help herself, her eyes moved and met Leonard’s.
For a moment, they just stared at each other.
Borami immediately looked away, returning to her weaving with slightly faster movements than before. Her cheeks flushed lightly. But a few seconds later, she secretly glanced at him again. Then quickly looked away once more.
Leonard himself didn’t even realize he’d been staring. He was completely captivated. Borami’s face, her curves, her graceful movements—everything about her was like a magnet, pulling his attention irresistibly.
His eyes drifted to the horns on Borami’s head—a pair of curved, ivory-colored horns growing from her black-and-white hair. He wanted to touch them. He also wanted to touch her beautiful hair, and her cow ears that twitched cutely at every sound. But he hesitated.
Would asking permission to touch such body parts be considered rude?
Would Borami think he was weird?
Would he get slapped again?
Maybe in this world, horns were sensitive areas? He didn’t know.
Borami finally couldn’t take it anymore. She stopped weaving, turned, and looked directly at Leonard.
"Leo," she said, her voice slightly strained. "Is there something wrong with my face?"
Leonard jolted. "W-What? No! Nothing’s wrong!"
"Then why are you staring at me like that?" Borami looked at him with those honey-brown eyes full of curiosity.
Leonard opened his mouth, then closed it again. His heart pounded. His brain worked overtime searching for the right answer, but what came out was pure honesty.
"It’s because... because you’re so beautiful."
The moment those words left his mouth, Leonard wanted to bury himself in the ground.
’Oh god. Was that cringe?’ he thought panickedly. ’I just said something super cringe, didn’t I? In movies, cool guys never say you’re beautiful like that. They say it with confidence, not with a face red as a tomato and a stuttering voice.’
As a lifelong eternal virgin who’d never dated in his entire life, Leonard had absolutely no idea if what he was doing was right or wrong. What he did know was that his heart was racing now. His face burned. He could feel blood rushing to his cheeks, probably making him look like a boiled crab.
Borami blinked. Then, a fraction of a second later, red crept up from her neck, past her cheeks, all the way to the tips of her furry cow ears. She smiled softly, a shy smile that made her look much younger.
[ Borami’s Affection: 53% ]
Leonard saw the change and his eyes widened slightly.
’Have I been a natural flirt this whole time without knowing it?’ he thought in disbelief.
Borami opened her mouth, about to say something. But Leonard—with his heart still racing and shame burning—beat her to it.
"I—I’m going to get firewood now!"
And without waiting for a response, Leonard stood up and hurriedly ran out of Borami’s house.
"Wait—" Borami called softly, but Leonard was already gone. The woman sat silently, her hands holding the unfinished weaving, her cheeks still red. She smiled to herself. "What a strange ape."
Meanwhile, Leonard, now outside Borami’s house, stopped in the middle of the path. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his still-racing heart.
"Okay," he muttered to himself. "Okay. That wasn’t too bad. Now, I need to find firewood."
He looked around. The surrounding forest was dense, with large trees and bushes. But where could he find firewood? Should he just gather scattered dry branches? Or did he need to break branches off trees?
As he was observing the nearby trees, his eyes caught something.
Movement. Faint, behind some trees about twenty meters from where he stood.
Leonard squinted. Behind a large tree trunk, he saw a silhouette—and most noticeably, a pair of long, furry white ears peeking slightly from behind the tree.
Leonard’s face went flat.
’Seriously?’ he thought. ’That’s some terrible hiding.’
From the size of the ears, it was probably Lily. Could be Alice too, though Alice was usually more confident and wouldn’t hide this badly.
’Are they still suspicious of me?’
Leonard sighed, then spoke loudly enough to be heard, "Come out. I know you’re hiding behind that tree. Have you been watching me?"
No response. The figure behind the tree didn’t move, didn’t come out. But Leonard saw the white ears twitch slightly—like in surprise.
Behind the tree, Lily pressed her back against the trunk, her heart pounding.
’How did he know?’ she panicked internally. ’I was hiding perfectly!’
Leonard waited a few seconds. No one came out.
He tried again. "Come out. Tell me who you are, and how long you’ve been watching me."
Still silence.
He sighed deeply. "Fine."
Leonard started walking toward the large tree where the silhouette was hiding. He deliberately made his steps slow, but loud enough to be heard on the dry leaves.
The white ears heard his footsteps. Quickly, the figure moved around to the other side of the tree, away from Leonard’s approach.
Leonard reached the tree, peered around it. Empty. He frowned, then circled around to the other side. As soon as he got there, he caught a glimpse of a leather skirt disappearing behind the tree again.
Leonard stopped walking. He stared at the tree in disbelief.
’Is she seriously playing hide and seek?’
Leonard walked faster now, circling the tree at high speed. Every time he almost caught the figure, that white silhouette always managed to evade, moving to another side of the tree with agility.
"You’ve been caught!" Leonard called out in frustration. "Stop hiding!"
No answer. Just the sound of small footsteps shuffling around.
Leonard stopped, trying to guess where the figure would move next. He decided to reverse direction, walking quickly to the opposite side from his guess.
But when he got there, he saw no one.
Leonard stared blankly at the empty space before him. "Where did she go?"
That’s when he heard a sound from above.
Rustling leaves. And before Leonard could react, something soft and warm slammed hard into his face.
Leonard fell onto his back, with something—someone—sitting right on his face.
Pain exploded in his nose and head. He winced, his eyes reflexively closing. But amidst the pain, there was something strange.
Darkness.
And warmth.
And something very, very soft against his face.
Leonard opened his eyes. What he saw was darkness—but not ordinary darkness. There was a faint light around the edges. It took him a few seconds to realize that his face was inside someone’s leather skirt.
And above him, right in front of him—God.
Leonard saw something he shouldn’t have seen. This woman wasn’t wearing any underwear. Maybe in this primitive world, underwear was an unknown luxury. What was clear, from his position lying on his back with his face pointing upward, Leonard could see everything inside clearly. Every detail. Every curve and the white fur above it...
Down below, something that definitely shouldn’t be waking up was waking up quickly.
"Kyaa!"
A distinctive feminine shriek came from above.
Lily, who had just realized she was sitting on someone’s face, immediately panicked. She scrambled backward, trying to get away. Her hands reached out for something to hold onto, and without meaning to, grabbed something in Leonard’s groin area.
Something that was in a very unstable condition.
Leonard let out a sound halfway between a groan and a stifled scream. His eyes squeezed shut, his body tensed.
Lily saw what she was holding, and her face turned crimson. She released her grip lightning-fast, then scrambled to her feet with a jerk.
"I-I’m sorry! I’m sorry!" she shouted panickedly.
Leonard could only lie on the ground, his arm covering his face, enduring the mix of shame and pain and strange sensations swirling inside him. Slowly, he moved his arm and looked up.
Lily.
The rabbit girl with messy long white hair sat beside him with an expression of total panic. Her eyes were wide, tears starting to pool at the corners. Her long ears drooped limply—a sign of extreme fear and guilt.
"I-I just wanted to see—I didn’t mean to fall—then—then—" Lily couldn’t finish her sentence. She covered her face with both hands, shaking.
Leonard sat up. He felt something warm and liquid running from his nose. He touched it and saw it was blood. His nose was bleeding.
Lily saw the blood and her panic intensified. "B-Blood! I made your nose bleed! Sorry! Sorry! Lily is bad! Lily always causes trouble!"
Leonard sighed. With his blood-smeared hand, he wiped his face, trying to calm himself.
"Lily," he said, his voice tired. "You really like attacking my face, don’t you?"
Lily bowed her head further, tears starting to fall. "Sorry... sorry... Lily didn’t mean to..."
Leonard looked at her. This little girl—she was genuinely terrified, like a child who’d accidentally broken something precious.
He sighed again, then wiped the blood from his nose with the back of his hand. When his fingers touched his nose, he felt a sharp pain. But a few seconds later, the pain began to fade. He could feel the tissue inside his nose moving, rearranging itself. When he wiped the blood a second time, no new blood came out.
Leonard looked at Lily, who was still sobbing uncontrollably. The girl was curled up, hugging her knees, her face buried between them.
"Hey," Leonard called softly. "Look at me."
Lily shook her head, not daring.
Leonard gently took Lily’s chin and lifted her face. Lily’s eyes were wet, her nose red, and her lips trembling. She looked like a drenched baby rabbit.
"Look," Leonard said, pointing to his own nose, now bloodless. "It’s already healed. It’s okay."
Lily looked at Leonard’s nose, then back to his eyes. "R-really?"
"Yeah. I have a fast healing ability. So you don’t need to worry."
Lily looked down, still crying softly. But her cries were starting to turn into quieter sniffles.
