The appearance of the figure suspended in the sky was sudden and unexpected, so much so that none of those present had any idea when it had appeared.

But that was not important at the moment. What truly mattered was the increasingly grim expression on the mysterious man's face, the same man who had defeated the three emperors with little to no effort.

Just moments ago, he had acted as if he were merely taking a stroll through a garden, casually crushing blades of grass beneath his feet as if nothing in the world could trouble him. Now, however, he looked like someone who had just seen a terrifying beast.

Needless to say, this immediately caught the attention of the three emperors as well, all of whom had now noticed the arrival of this new individual.

They had no idea whether the newcomer was friend or foe, but they could at least tell one thing, he was not on the same side as the mysterious man.

Yun She, who had calmly overseen the progress of his plan all this time, now found himself in a position he had never expected to be in.

He had devised this large scale attack for who knew how long, and at last, he had finally been able to put it into motion.

With the emperors gone, their territories would have been conquered, devastated, and corrupted down to the very roots. He would have ensured that the emperors themselves, along with all the strongest members of the expedition they had brought, would be buried in these lands.

And then, at last, he would have been able to touch the peak of this plane of existence, and perhaps even ascend to a higher plane of existence.

A simple plan, with a simple goal. Even its execution had been going smoothly… and yet, in such a short time, everything had been turned upside down.

He had sensed that something was wrong in the Human Empire, but before he could act, a major change had also occurred in the Elven Empire, and not long after, in the Beast Empire as well.

He felt powerful existences emerge within all three empires. The Human Empire was the most peculiar of them all, because the experimental subject he had sent there had suddenly ceased to exist.

Not killed. Not injured. Not on the brink of death.

It had vanished.

He had already been preparing to personally go and see what the hell was going on.

After all, he had considered every possible variable in his plan. Even if there were hidden entities within the three empires, none of them should be capable of causing any real complications.

And yet here he was, caught off guard, utterly clueless about what was happening.

One thing, however, was certain. Those existences were not weaker than him.

They were clearly not the three emperors. Although those three stood at the peak of the third stage of the Spirit Realm, their combined strength was not a problem for him, who stood at the same level.

Yet the newly appeared presences felt different, something that, as far as he knew, should have been impossible.

And as if that were not enough, yet another individual appeared, this time directly before him.

This one, in particular, did not radiate any crushing aura, yet his mere presence was so oppressive that it placed him at the very top of Yun She's list of dangers.

Who the hell was he?

'Could he be one of them?' Yun She thought, not referring to the three presences that had appeared within the empires, but to certain individuals whose origins were feared even by him.

That seemed like the most likely answer, until he noticed something else.

'This feeling… this presence… where have I felt it before?'

Something clicked in his mind, and the moment it did, his eyes filled with terror and disbelief as the image of a certain being surfaced in his thoughts, someone he had once worked with in the past, whose feats had become legend over time.

Someone he had feared for a very long time.

Someone he had only dared to betray and eliminate after much hesitation.

'No... it cant be him, How is this possible? It's too early.'

'Did I miscalculate? No, something is wrong with this entire situation.'

His thoughts raced as he desperately tried to make sense of everything, but in the end, he realized that this was not the time.

He had to flee. Immediately.

He, patriarch of the Yun family, an ancient existence that had survived into the present era, had feared almost nothing at his current level of strength.

And yet, the figure that had just appeared had succeeded in doing exactly that, simply by showing up.

Zhu Rong glanced at the three emperors for a moment, examining them, before shifting his gaze toward Yun She.

His expression remained unreadable, yet a faint glimmer had appeared in his eyes, silent and subtle, but unmistakably there.

"Yun She. I see that even after all this time, you haven't changed," he said. His voice was calm and controlled, yet clear enough to be heard by all four of them.

There was no emotion in his tone, and yet it made everyone in the area tremble.

Yun She tightened his grip on the sword at his waist and replied, 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

"Xian Hongyi… I didn't expect you to have returned already.

Even so, you would have been better off staying hidden in some corner. At least then, you might have preserved your life.

Instead, you rushed here without hesitation.

Are you really that eager to die once again?"

A cold glint appeared in his eyes.

It was clear that the other party was strong, at least nearly as strong as him.

That was troublesome, but not hopeless.

If he were at his peak like in the past, then there would be nothing Yun She could do. But as things stood, he might still have a chance.

No matter how much he racked his brain, he couldn't determine how long the other had been back, but one thing was certain.

It hadn't been long since his reincarnation.

In other words, there was a limit to how much of his original strength he had recovered.

And that was Yun She's only lifeline in this precarious situation.

Zhu Rong did not seem bothered by Yun She's words and simply said,

"You seem quite confident in your abilities.

I wonder what gives you that confidence?"

His expression did not change.

"In any case, as much as I'd like to take my time dealing with you, I have more urgent matters to attend to."

As he spoke, he raised his hand.

In the next instant, an overwhelming force descended upon Yun She.

It was entirely focused on him, yet the three emperors, on the verge of collapse, could still feel it, and they shuddered, realizing that even at their peak, such power would have crushed them like ants.

For the first time in their lives, they felt utterly insignificant and inferior.

They had faced many hardships before. Some had even brought them to the brink of death.

But never, not even once, had they felt such overwhelming helplessness all at once.

All of it caused by individuals they had never seen before, whose existence they hadn't even known of until today.

Confusion reached its peak within them, but alongside it came something else, doubt.

They had clearly heard the conversation earlier and couldn't ignore the name the mysterious man had used.

Xian Hongyi?

Why did that name sound so familiar?

That thought crossed all their minds, and it didn't take long before something clicked.

Their expressions changed to shock as they stared at the figure in the sky.

Xian Hongyi?

That Xian Hongyi?

There were old depictions of that legendary figure from the past within the Human Empire. Though there were only a few similarities, they were enough to raise the possibility.

The figure in the sky looked far too young, perhaps in his early twenties or slightly older.

But at their level, changing one's appearance or looking younger than one truly was was not difficult at all. High level cultivators did it all the time to preserve their looks.

Moreover, he emanated an unfathomable level of power, far too oppressive for all three of them.

So… was it really him?

If so, how? and why was an existence like that still alive and standing here?

What the hell was happening today?

There had been far too many shocks already, and their minds felt close to shutting down from the sheer frustration.

Yet none of this seemed to matter to the other two figures.

Yun She, having heard those words, did not hesitate.

His eyes sharpened as he unleashed his power at the peak of the third stage.

Unlike the power of the three emperors, his was vastly greater.

If one were to compare them, the emperors were still searching for the path to the next stage, while Yun She had already nearly reached it.

The difference might not sound large, but within the Spirit Realm, even the smallest gap in level was a vast chasm in terms of strength.

It was not something that could be bridged through cultivation alone. It required techniques, artifacts, and much more, and even then, it might not be enoguh.

That was why the three emperors had stood no chance against the mysterious man.

And yet, even that was not enough before the other party.

Because in the very next moment, Yun She's cultivation was brutally suppressed.
